That was a mixed episode. Gradually improved though it had fun moments throughout.
I didn't warm to Dash acting like a bitch to Twilight even though she wasn't happy with her conventional teaching methods. Regardless of how cute or silly she's acting while ignoring her.
The only other part that stood out for obvious reasons was Pinkie's rap. I mean, I enjoyed it (especially the dated video quality and parodying "Don't Copy That Floppy"), but as a part of this episode, I dunno. I felt it would have made a better promo for the episode, but even if it's one of Pinkie's random moments, it didn't quite fit the setting.
Having Dash take in more information during flight though? I actually thought that was a very smart move, exploiting her natural abilities like that. And surprise, she passed!
