Yesterday was one of those days where Skype kept me up 'til silly times at night, and I was already very tired. Hence the slightly embittered and emotionally dead posting. Sorry about that...

But in this episode...anyone else seeing an analogue to Bronydom and the Internet here? Also the background artists pulled out all the stops on this one. The Rainbow Dash show. Please for the love of God, never let it exist.

The tags say Kingdom Hearts, so yeah, I'm guessing that's the reference (you can tell I've never played it).

I wouldn't, and you know it. Someone else would, though.

Trying to make it not end up like AppleDash Scratch Tapes would be a challenge, though.

Just stick each of them on different sides of a perspex window. AppleDash shipping averted.

And where is that "someone else", anyway?



Also, I was expecting to have to trawl through many pages filled with posts discussing the new episode. But no, all I found was half a page instead, plus the thread was practically dead when I arrived, much to my surprise.

I was kinda expecting to see more familes. after all, the hints went that the ep would "shatter all fanon". i haven't seen a single fic regarding HOW the three versions of Pony came together, yet. also, i was expecting a nod to G1 being snuck in, especially after they found a place they promptly dubbed "paradise"

the only thing that DID get my attention was that they integrated the almost exclusively Native American "wendigo" myths into the story.

I really like them (and everypony is right, her horn is obviously out of place, needs a crown to hide it or something).

Bah, Age of Mythology.



And that was a pretty nice episode, I really enjoy it, it helps to develop what of the things that were gradually overlook which is Equestria itself, and there were also plenty of situations that will be exploited by the fandom. Quite enjoyable episode, I really like it (and pretty good for a semi-Christmas episode).

Same here (hailing that is), although surprisingly I'm in a virtually chav-free area this weekend (the middle of the Welsh countryside).

@Sniffs, it does challenge fannon. Most fans have the impression that Celestia either created the universe or her parents created it. This episode says different.

Ditzy is Derpy. In winter wrap up (I think) she was referenced to have flown the wrong way, since then that name has stuck. Fans called her Derpy because of her eyes.

I have a thought on what happened to Toro. That tree might have gotten the better of him.

I think most of us knew new name Derpy Hooves was canon anyway due to various hints from Hasbro. For example, the image url on the Hasbro website's Card Creator said "DH_Definitely_Canon", which was mentioned a few days ago. It's been mention a few times over the past couple of months too.


And Ditzy Doo was only mentioned in Winter Wrap Up, but many people thought that was actually Derpy's canon name. Some fanfics refer to Derpy as Ditzy as well, but now we know that Ditzy is a totally different character who we haven't seen, yet.
