EDIT: Question: can anime fans have a discussion about another animated, non-anime series without posting something NSFW? That's my real complaint about this whole thing. I mean, it's a kids show. I would like to be able to view a thread about a kids show without risking viewing racy images.

I do admit that I like the occasional throwback gags like when Twi got hit with a flower pot, anvil, chariot, AND a piano. Literally every WB falling object gag in one scene. Along with the occasional joke that only adults would get, the show is the master of the simple joke. After watching stuff like Top Gear and others, the simplicity of the jokes in MLP is brilliant. For example, in the first episode when Twi asks where Pinky Pie found the Elements of Harmony book and Pinky goes "It was under E." It's so simple, but such a funny gag. And the simplicity of it makes it hilarious. And really, the Gilda episode really puts the simplicity of the gags into perspective.

I thought Gilda's voice was familiar. She is voiced by Maryke Hendrikse who voiced Revy in Black Lagoon. (She also did the voice of Bubbles in Powerpuff Girls Z and Susan Test in the Johnny Test series...she also voices Spitfire in MLP.) Watching Gilda's episode and Black Lagoon makes Gilda just...creepy.

The problem is that you missed out on the early part of the thread. We used to be like that but the thread evolved for a more mature audience (sometimes).
We do post less saucy images quite a lot and I suspect that once the new season starts this thread will be full of 'normal' images for a few days... then back to saucy stuff.

Post the sort of images you want to see.

That was many months ago, though, if I remember right.


And that's a good thing that it was hard to tell. Means the few of us who are into that stuff have been doing a good job keeping it separate from the thread. Not that I was trying to keep it a secrete, just this isn't the place to really discuss anything even remotely like that.

I think part of the reason I didn't know is that I rarely check into this thread anymore. It's always been my only connection to the pony world and it's also where I first discovered MLPFiM, so I like to come around. It's also where I discovered Buttersc0tchSundae's writing, which got me into "that stuff." So yeah, good times here. Few but memorable, I guess.

That's been everyone. Hurricane Sandy decided it wasn't a GTP fan and took out the servers. Then they ran out of fuel for the generators. Then everything was fixed and all was right in the world.

Just that there were several few hour long windows where it was up and we could post.
