The un-official "When will Wembley be ready?" thread.

I'm mainly making this thread as there has been yet again a delay to the Wembley Stadium construction. And as a Welshman this is extremely entertaining

[gloat]Here I am in my little country of 3 million with a lovely 74,500 seater stadium, built for a neat £126 million, is extremely versatile, has a full sliding roof and is situated bang in the centre of Cardiff

And then there's this new Wembley stadium. Admittedly it has 90,000 but it costs £757million to date, has a pretty weak excuse for a sliding roof and is very very late in it's completion.[/gloat]

So when do you think the Wembley Stadium will be ready?

By the end of May 2010 the latest. England needs to jump in for South Africa.

It's only so big because it will be the sole stadium that England will play in. Unlike you Europeans who tend to share the games around.


It's really delayed at the moment
