It all depends on what kind of driver you are. The Viper can be a terror to drive for those who are not good at dealing with oversteer, but I've met a few people who swear by Vipers. They can haul some serious ass in Vipers too.

It's all in the tuning and your driving style. For instance, for all of you who just slam the brakes and take the turn, IT'S NOT GONA WORK. You have to drive like an American pro, not like your regular Initial D pro. Brake before turning, tap accel. repeatedly to get rid of oversteer, and gentle turning or some examples of how to drive a Viper. So, this means you gotta smarten up while racing:D Treat the Vettes and Cobras the same way. Don't drive in grindelwald, it'll kill you fo sho.

I just got the viper last night. It is ok but I think it will take a while to get used to rear wheels like to spin... it is hard to control. for me anyway.. but it looks very cool!!

I HATE GRINDELWALD ARRRRRRGHHHH! The pavement there is like ice! About your guidelines for powerful American cars: your rules about driving Vipers, Vettes, and Cobras apply especially to muscle cars. Don't be too accelerator-happy coming out of a courner or YOU WILL SPIN. However, a properly-driven muscle car, terrible handling aside, can be a difficult car to beat.

Oh, by the way, what is Initial D?

Is the Taisan viper worth the effort of actually trying to win it!!! Is it better than the Oreca I think it looks cooler!!!:D

I found it to be just as good. Maybe even a little better. But the differences, if any, are negligible. I always thought the Oreca looked better.

I really miss this one in GT3. One of my favorite runs in GT2 was a slightly modded GT40 on Grindenwald. You have to get to know the road intimately. It is bumpy and full of dips and hills and once you know where to drive your line you can get good grip even flying through corners. I hated it at first, too. But once I got to know it it became one of my faves. I hope they bring it back into GT4.

Sometimes the Elise decides to stop being neutral and you get almost no warning.
The Lotus Elise is definately the most schizophrenic* car of the GT2 world. One minute, it's your friend, the next, it's tossing you into some sand or a wall.

* Wow, can't beleive I spelled that right the first time.

my viper runs 706 hp and yes it is hard to control but ill teach every one a trick about cornering in the different drivetrains in FR do most of your braking through the turn and once your going slow enough to make the turn glide through the rest and dont punch it until youve straightened out, in FF do all your braking before the turn and punch it into the turn allowing the car to pull you quickly through the turn, and in 4WD brake before the turn then drift into the corner and when you are facing the exit punch it and it will shoot you out of the turn it will take some time to master but it works
