Yeah, you had us (or a few of us), going for a while! Pretty funny, Kenny.

(BTW, go into settings, set the camber at 12, then return to the garage and look at the front wheels of your car! That's assuming, of course, that your car is pointed nose-out, and not ass-out.)

I thought it was real, damn you, no damn me for believing it. :ouch:

Well, I think that some people here can't take a joke. Maybe they're a little peeved that they got "sucked in"?...

He had me goin' for a while until I read a few more posts. Well done Kenny, this was good for a laugh... :P

I tried to re-create this today with the John Deere Edition in Arcade, but try as I might, it didn't work. Maybe it's only posible in GT Mode, but I don't want to bend my red F1.

Because he didn't show you the other wheel, so you don't know wheteher or not it's messed up. That's why he tried to cover it up with the hypothetical "second crash".

I tried to make an attention-grabbing title. :)

Succeeded - and this thread is funny, and not stupid at all.

HOWEVER, people who try to copy this idea deserve all that they get. It was funny the first time, after that it'll seem a bit lame I think... :)

Thanks

I think I just 'inspired' someone who did it completely wrong....

ok, yes so this was a camber thing, a joke, I understand. But a while ago, I was coming down the New York straight in my ZO6 and slammed into the wall at the end (I was busy looking at the buildings and didn't even see the corner coming). There was no visible damage to my car, and after a couple seconds there were no residual effects. However, immediately after hitting the wall, and lasting for at least 15 seconds, my car wouldn't hardly move. It was almost like the penalties in the special condition events, but without the red wording. I couldn't get the car above 5-10 MPH, and ended up loosing a 12 second lead. I haven't tried recreating this, I suppose I should, but has anyone else had this problem? Is it a glitch from the sudden stop?

I'm serious, this isn't a joke.

Using manual and not down-shifted from whatever gear you hit the wall in?? Cos if you didn,t you'd be attempting to move off in 3rd/4th/5th - not such a good idea. If you hit a wall hard, the wheels keep spinning since they are spinning around much faster than your car is going anywhere - but 10-15secs is too long for that to recover.

These I believe are all gliches.

It even happened to me in Need For Speed U2.

It quite exciting to see the code get modified like that.

I have noticed damage. It does affect handling... Yet i have never seen damage. Do you have to turn it on? However.. When i was racing in a 150 mile race in Super Speedway with my Toyota Minolta i noticed i hit a wall. 2 laps later i could not turn and i was on fresh tires i had only been driving on fro 4 laps. So do you have to turn damage on? BTW how do you get the F1 race car.

sadly, you cant turn damage on becase there is no damage, i think its just lines of code conflicting with another, causing youre car to screw up, not go, not turn (etc, etc)

well, im going to bed now, so im keeping the rest of my change with me :sly:
