These Are the 41 Trophies up for Grabs in Gran Turismo Sport

Seems like a very reasonable platinum much like GT6. I just hope there's not to many challenges like that annoying one in the Group B car in the infield of Northern Isle. Not the one on the wet track, that one was easy.

I like how they have that Senna Pole position trophy. Sure, Schumacher may have broken the record, and Hamilton is well past it and on the way to getting many more, but it's good to call back to the greatest driver of all time for the younger generations to see.

Same with the Rubens and Schumi trophies but this reminds me of the absolute worse thing about GT Sport, the lack of any open wheel cars, let alone F1.

PD seriously has to fix that ESPECIALLY if they're going to reference F1 drivers.

Open wheel cars are a massive part of motorsport. It's frankly ridiculous not to include them.

Not Formula E though. Formula E is cancer
The infield mission is literally almost impossible without a wheel. It's ridiculous. And your opinion of Formula E could not be more correct.

Is this the one that was in the Beta this week? The first of its sequence? If so, I think that's a "garage car event". Meaning you can choose the car you want to bring to complete it. I tried with the Ford Focus I got as a gift. Managed to hit bronze only. I'm sure another car may help a lot to get gold.

As for the trophy list, I'm only worried about the "F1" trophies. If they are to be done online, it's gonna be difficult.

Yeah thats the event. I used the GT-R Gr. B but it didnt matter. BoP is in effect.

So they prepeared a special competion for every one of us. It is cool that they are add all of that record, and other features. It will make a game more interesting to play. So many historical facts, good quality of photos, make a super comfortable condition. Maybe it is just a words...

Unfortunately, for you, formula E is the future or at least a stepping stone. Everyone always slams electric cars because the electricity use to charge them is more than likely from a dirty scource. You might be one of these that sees hydrogen as the future but that can only be obtained, at the moment, by vast amounts is electricity or reacting othe chemicals together both have a significant carbon footprint. Don’t get me wrong I love to burn stuff! But we can’t go on doing it for ever. Motorsport needs to evolve or it wil die out.

That is absolute nonsense. Want to "evolve"?? Use electric powered trucks to transport everything. Those cause a million times more pollution than any field of race cars ever could.

Since when is it motorsports responsibility anyhow? You've got to be joking if you think even ending motorsport altogether would put a dent in CO2 emissions. The FIA is just doing a stupid PR stunt.

Sound is a huge part of motorsport for the spectators. Formula E is an absolute disgrace and it's really indefensible. The only way motorsport will ever die if that trash becomes mainstream.

And here we go, another thread turning into the great electric car debate.

I managed to platinum PC1, will definitely try for GT Sport.
Is there any way beyond friends to see trophy progress for the community?

So, has anybody been able to qualify on Arcade Mode races? Or is the damn trophy to be done in Sport mode and that’s it?

Still intrigued as to the answer to this....

Sport mode only I believe, I think the trophy's count is linked to your profile's stats (achievements), which is Sport mode only. So tough if you aim platinum indeed.

You're missing the point, it's not about preventing motorsports from polluting (ridiculous, we agree) but rather to encourage street cars to use less and less petrol power, shifting people interest into different propelling technologies and accordingly open wide the money valve for R&D. We just all forgot how motorsports were born in the early 20th and why.

Those thing that you're talking about, trucks and stuff, will naturally flow from this dynamic.
FIA does stupid things sometimes, and its presidence obviously has irrelevant stuff on its agenda, but in essence it seems rather correct to me. Conventional racing doesn't have to die suddenly, as long as there is petrol and enough money/interest, it will survive (for our greatest pleasure :D).

Different technologies don't necessarily mean better technologies. Electric cars cause more pollution than petrol cars, plus they're less reliable, pathetic range, and worst of all by far, sound like complete and utter 🤬.

Electric cars are cancer.

Yes but there's plenty of electricity left, petrol, not so much in a couple of decades. As I said, popularizing new propelling technologies (e.g. electric cars) is key and the first step to develop it. Manufacturers won't put a dime in R&D to drastically improve it if no body is going to buy it at some point.
Regarding the pollution aspect, it sure won't go any better if you're not even trying.

I may be wrong but I feel many people stating "Electric cars are cancer." probably fear the premature extinction of our beloved petrol engines. I won't be happy either but better move with the times and enjoy what still can be than cursing every or anything changing.
I think autonomous cars are far more annoying if it ever becomes mandatory somehow one day.

Ok. 2 months later and we do know the pole positions and race wins trophies are indeed SPORT MODE ONLY.

However they prove to not be super difficult. It’s a matter of time. If you play the game almost on a daily basis and keep racing online you’ll eventualy grab those trophies. It is skill dependent, but also some kinda luck is required since matchmaking is funky. There are times you get paired with drivers way slower than you. Sometimes you get paired with amongst an alien grid.

Given the fact that GT6, for example, got a lifespan of 4 years (the servers are still up, even after GTS) you can set low goals to work toward this. (2, 3 poles and wins per week). There’s time to achieve this. Let’s just enjoy the road to it.

Anybody knows if there is a way to check how many poles do you have after the first 20? Besides that, a pole counts only once if you made it several times for the same daily race?

The Achievements section of your profile continues to count stats beyond the Achievement requirements themselves.

I cant see it

Cheers hehehe
Counts once or multiple times?

It goes like this: let’s say you quali in the morning for a daily race. You get a superhot pole position. Next time you entry the same race, you still have that quali lap record set, right? If you get to get pole position again, then it’s 2 poles for you. If you came back in the afternoon for the same daily race, and your morning laptime is still hot and you get another pole, that’s 3 poles in bag. All obtained in same daily race, yes.

Or as many poles as you can get during the day on that daily race.

The lesson being 'make hay while the sun shines'

I went after the poles/wins trophies relentlessly and achieved them both about a month after I started playing.

Since earning them (about 80-90 races ago) I have only had two poles and a grand total of zero wins. It's like I had some motivational force pushing me to go faster and win more, and now that I reached the target it's totally abandoned me.

So just had a look at this list out of interest (I'm not a trophy hunter) and there may be a typo??
  • Novice Drifter (Bronze): Earned a total of 1,000 Drift Points
  • Top-Drawer (Bronze): Drifter Earned a total of 1,000,000 Drift Points
Surely the 1,000,000 drift points should be at least silver??
