They Making this Game too Easy?

I thought this game was so easy at the beginning. I just hit level 38 before and am just about to start the 8th season.

From other sources I've heard the AI only get harder if you play in career mode as this gives the the AI a basis to learn from. So its not really level orientated its more progression.

So if you get to level 80 from racing online the AI are still going to be bad.

The AI gets a lot harder than the beginning but frustrating as well. They will slam, hit nudge, drive you off the road and dive up the inside.
(I drove my Aston Martin V12 Vantage for the first time and looked like a Demolition Derby Car.)

I hate driving on the Narrow tracks with them as they cause roadblocks and its just chaos.

Also I heard in a interview or review somewhere cant remember where that it is just AI. They are programmed as best as it can possibly be. Remember its a computer controlling it and there a lot of different variables that go into racing. Even humans make mistakes.

Overall I am happy with the AI i believe some of the most challenging I seen in a racing game. If i need to start looking for a massive challenge i will just look online and find some fellow racers.

I noticed once you hit R1, R2, R3 class, then the AI shine. I had a great run against an NSX-R SuperGT car. Passed him on the last turn of Indy, he drafted me up to the finish line where he passed me and won by 3 feet! Intense action.

I'm getting way too many free cars the last couple days. Anyone else get to pick like 4 cars today just for signing into career mode and like 6 yesterday?

I didnt get that but more free cars are certainly welcome for my game. There are many cars I didnt get to own in FM3 just because I didnt have the credits for them. PM me if you find out how you got the free cars.

It's still easy! I've seen the AI try to ram me, so I just smash them off the track at the beginning now that I know they'll try and cheat, and it's smooth sailing from there.

I have no idea right now why or how I got them. I just logged into career mode yesterday and it had me pick a car out of a group then it had me pick another car out of another group, then again, and again and again; 6 times in a row yesterday before i could even enter career mode and 4 more this morning. Maybe some VIP perks?

If you were playing online between the last time you played career mode and that time you could have leveled up online. If you did level up you still get to pick a car.

Oh. That explains it! I was leveling up during Rivals mode. Thanks t.o.

Did you race a bunch of rivals or online then just power down the 360?

I got $4000 for signing in yesterday.

It's still ridiculously easy. I'm in the professional leagues now on expert difficulty -clutch and to give an example of how easy it is, on Infineon raceway I went the long way 'round on the V shaped corner. I didn't realize the pilons were marking the corner and shot past them the long way only to find my first was now 7th and then I did it on lap 2 and was still able to pass the whole field and finish 1st. It was an S-class professional race and I used the 458 Italia. I parted it up to S 700, but didn't even tune it yet!

I really don't think it's going to get hard...

If every race had 20 laps or more than this could/would be an issue but with 3-6 lap races how much can they do?

AI is nowhere near quick enough so far. I'm on level 32 and driving on expert.

If you max your PI out for the class, and match the AI's pre-upgraded PI, you will find it easy!!

Just use the car stock, I tend to float around 50PI less in S Class..

It depends on what you want, T10 should have enforced a 5-10% PI advantange for the AI on the hardest difficulty, in identical cars, AI will never beat a good driver..

I would seriously question the difficulty level they were playing on than since in the F/B event I just did the B class cars pulled away from the start and I never saw them again.

One thing I am noticing is that the AI is really inconsistent, they will be ultra slow on one track and amazingly fast on another.

since it was ISR doing the test i have no doubt they were playing with no driving aids and at the highest level. Later, Gangi even had to make excuses for the weak AI saying it was not a main effort by T10. rather sad considering their are some PC racing sims (GTR, GTR2 come to mind) with awesome AI compared to FM or GT.

This has been my experience too.

The pace of the AI can be very inconsistent .
At times it can vary alot within the same race, from restart to restart.

Sometimes you could win with almost any car and sometimes its practically impossible, without the right car.

Its been the most noticeable for me in World Tour R3 races when using the Ford GT Mk7.

I think the leveling system is perfect. But the car tokens and 100% manufacturer bonuses are a bit to much.

I get the manufacturer bonuses, but why do people see an issue with car tokens?

I haven't used them myself, but if people want to spend real money on a car you can get with credits I see no issue. I could understand if there were cars you could only get via token, but thankfully that's not the case.

I concur
