I bought a tuned Viper and was horsing around with it on various tracks trying to get the feel of the car and how it handles, accelerates, etc. etc. etc.,both online with cars or time trials without cars ( I think we have all done this ). I went to Daytona oval 700pp to see how the Viper's top speed is and how it takes the draft, high speed corners, you know, the normal feel stuff. It was only an 8 car race, but what struck me were 2 entries, what they were driving : MINI'S . The race started and by the end of turns 1&2,they were toasted by everybody, needless to say they were lapped several times.I would have to speculate that they were 2 friends just playing around with each other to see who was the faster car / racer. The cool thing was, when they seen the pack coming upon them, they ducked to the inside of the yellow line as not to interfere with the race, that showed class, but the thought of a Mini -vs- tuned Vipers,Vettes,Skylines,GT Fords,R-8's,it made me laugh. Again:tup:👍👍,the class they showed for getting out of the way was impressive

There's nothing more amusing to me than when I'm braking to turn into spoon, then see some ghosted evo fly through me at 140mph because he thought he was going to ram me.

I once took a Cappucino on 750pp Suzuka. That's not the funny part, though. I podiumed. You could say that skilled drivers were somewhat lacking that night.

One of my favorite moments:

600 pp Suzuka, DarthDrift & myself duelling in Clios. Darth nudged another car off at Turn 1, so he politely stopped. As I was there to race Darth, I stopped too & we both waited at the start of the esses for the other driver to recover.
He came racing up apparently oblivious to us waiting there, rammed both of us violently off the track before speeding off into the distance.

I laughed.

(We caught him before Spoon...)

Did that once with the tuned version. Had to turn of the console as I was semi-concsious for the next half hour laughing.

I took the Daihatsu out and de-tuned it as far as it can go..I think it was ikle 376pp and took it to 750pp Suzuka..Yeah boyeee

Yup, I remember that! That was the race before my astonishing Cappucino finish!

That is way to good,it just backs up what we all say " nothing like good clean racing, punting will get you no-where " 👍

I actually laughed one time when I got punted at the exit of the esses at Suzuka. I got hit just right a got sent off and BAM it one of those barriers of the track that sticks out. I went from ~120mph to 0 in .01 seconds. I normally hate punters but I was like, "well done" LOL.

I remember one of the old 700pp races at daytona oval, were I drove a completly standard 135i on R3's. I drove rather slowly and low down on the bends to avoid the punters, as a tactical trial.
Due to the amazingly poor level of the other drivers, almost everyone in a GT or Mine's, I won(!!!). The other just smashed each other the whole race. I nearly got hit by some airborn crashers, but managed to avoid them.
I laughed when I thought about what they must have thought when they saw what beat them.

The thing that made me laugh the most was, and I'm sort of ashamed to admit it as a clean racer, when someone punted me (on the short straight before the kink before the hairpin) at Suzuka, I spun wide onto the grass, the back end came around, I went sideways across two drivers (including the punter) and took all three of us into the gravel. Just the way it happened had me laughing, and although I feel sorry for the one who got caught up it was karma for me that I took off the guy who punted me too.

I also find it amusing in any PP600 race when I'm in third behind two Evos, and I just know that they're going to take each other off and I'll cruise through for the win.

I also recall a race in HSR were I was drivving a tuned M3 (about 650pp or less) against 2 tuned z06s, a F40 and 3 BNR34s. Won the race by over 2 seconds and still wrecked on the first turn which made me about 5 secs off the lead on lap 1 of 3.

The moment that made me laugh more was at the end of a race in Suzuka with about 5 or 6 GTP drivers (IIRC Mr P, honeycar, Superwally, Mr. Volcano, Sarlech and myself) and during that race several made mistakes, or litle nudges happened, sending some cars off. So, the race was full of stopping, waiting, slowing down, whatever.

When we get to the chicane (last lap), it almost seemed a procession of cars, really nobody wanted to overtake. Then, we get to the straight and, just before the finish line, all of us (and of course this couldn't be predicted or pre-arranged) suddenly started to spin, brake, get out of the line ... it was total and complete chaos, with cars and smoke everywhere ... I commented that race in the PAL meetings thread saying something like "tonight it seemed nobody wanted to win races"

It was very funny :)

Ohhh yeah! That's always a laugh  You'd have thought they'd learned by now :dopey:

I always giggle when I race at the High Speed Ring where all you see is sliding moving cars spit smoke out. At least 5- 8 people do this & still make it out the front.

haha, i remember this race...there was smoke everywhere.

Nothing is more funny than passing someone early on the front stretch of suzuka, only to have draft you trying to get back their position and forgetting that they have to brake a lot sooner on the first turn because they were drafting you down the whole stretch trying to pass. I then deliberately brake late going into the corner, and most times they'll try to follow me (going into the corner carrying a lot more speed than me) and just slide right off the track into the sand pit.

Thats how i test most racers btw.

I try the Mustang, I was hoping for a win at FUJI 600... I knew i had little chances, and to make it even harder, I miss adjusted the gears by mistake. 1st and 2nd gears were too short, and 3rd gear too long, took forever to bring it to 120mph. When we started the race they each car was making the first turn on FUJI, my car was 1/4 back with reading 80 mph haha. Ended up last!. I was laughing so hard from the start to end of race. My dummy car setup felt like i was driving a Suzuiki Cappuccino car. It was one of my most embarrassing races ever. :embarrassed:

After this I am going to see CAR tune up page and check out mustang one. haha

Just before in Suz 750, I got punted off in the 1st corner. Fighting my way back, on the last lap I was trying to overtake a Lancer on the back straight. No matter how many times he punted me on to the grass on that one straight I kept coming back on side by side before inevitably overtaking him on the high speed left hander. It was funny because I could tell he was panicking, and my hungry Corvette could smell his fear.

Thought I would try the pp750 Suzuki the other night, but getting beer missed the start. So start the race nearly a lap behind, then see the first place car catching me up and to my surprise he tries to take me out, that when the laughing started because he went straight threw me into a spin then into the sand trap.

Coming down the straight at Fuji after overtaking some guy in a Ferrari he managed to outbrake himself even tho i braked way later .. he took the biscuit :sly:

I was racing at suzuka earlier this evening. I'd had a really good race (by my pretty low standards). Was in second and was managing to keep with the first place guy. Hadn't out braked myself anywhere. Was really pleased, so as i was approaching the line i got off the gas and jumped up in celebration, showing off to the wife. I realised my foolishness when the 3rd place guy came blasting past me down the straight. I had only done 2 laps.

Lmao I was about to say that!!
That happenend to me yesterday & I simply press to e-brake & turned a hard left for a victory. Then I realized cars were still moving kinda quick & everyone blew past me. The results came out I was in last place after being in first in less than 5 seconds.

For me it was winning in a Suzuki Cappuccino/Tuned, up against GT LM's, Corvettes, Vipers, Mines etc, back when we had the Daytona Speedway. I was laughing at the thought of those guys faces as they thought WTF, how did that win. :)
