This game isn't worth 40.00 or 30.00 bucks.

Of course, if we look at GT's history, we could argue that HD was the prologue, GT5P is actually GT5, and "GT5" will be GT6.
Based on content levels of GT1, 2, 3, and 4.
The first game for every console has had dramatically less content than the second.

Hmm, I would consider HD as an anomalie. It was going to be a lot more but wasn't and they decided to release it as a small demo, it wasn't really planned that way.
Each odd numbered GT has always had less content than the even numbered ones for each console because they are the first with a new game engine whereas the even numbered GT's have simply featured improved engines.
Though I think this is going to change now, Prologue's are going to take a larger role and development time on each "full" game is going to take longer. I wouldn't be surprised if GT6 is on PS4 (or whatever) and they simply update GT5 for a year or two either freely or DLC.

I heard a rumor there won't be a PS4. Either way, it's a good point, now that DLC is so readily availible, but I honestly believe GT5P was actually a fundraiser, for GT5.
So I'd expect a GT6P if there is to be a GT6. Cause if you think about it, all they have to do is release the first small portion of the game, and call it a prologue, collect 40$ a pop, (or 30 or whatever), and then continue developing the rest of the game, and then sell the same content again, along with the rest of it.

So in short, I guess I'm saying we already have part of GT5, and when GT5 comes out, it'll likely just be a ton of extra content added to GT5P, with a different layout, essentially.

I think GT5P was a reasonable value, compared to any other racing games other than the GT franchise (& perhaps Forza) itself. However, I really think they should have provided at least a couple more DLC tracks free, over the course of the last year. This would seem to make good marketing sense too: keep existing Prologuers interested & generate a few more new purchasers too.

At this point, one track would make people go crazy.
But how big of a download would 1 track be? Given the graphics in this game, I think we're talking about a massive file.
