This is so funny Shepzki, because I am just like you. I have them all Green Ticket, and I can tell Diamond Black from Opel black without even opening it.

Unfortunately I am booked for a month. You can do this on your second account and just send it too yourself. Do all 9 of them leave one free and keep doing it over until you get your color. If you are unsure about the blacks, you need 2 memory sticks. One with your game save with 9 out of 10 done, and 1 to back it up before you open it. If you get the correct black color you can just reload from the 2nd memory stick. If not reload the first and repeat. 👍

Edit: Credit to German for helping me with this, I just tweaked it to keep the Green tickets. 👍

You mean the S-licence trick*, right?

*1.) goldish 9 S-licences, 2.) then backup, 3.) do the last & get the GT-R. If it's the wrong color, reload your backup & repeat step 2-3 till you get the color you are looking for. 👍

Yes the "S-License Trick"

It's practically the same thing though, just a little more extreme for the those of us that feel like the white ticket is "dirty" because it's been opened.

I think I sound crazy right now.

Edit: Anybody reading that will try this I'll give you 2 tips.

1. The ticket will be white when you receive it in your inbox, don't worry, when you view it from the delivery truck it will be green again.

I honestly just skimmed this thread, and just got so excited to see there are others as crazy as me.

So Igwyana is saying:

1) After you win the race, quit the game before returning to the GT Home menu

2) Back up your save

3) Reboot and the ticket will be there waiting? And you will get a different color everytime you do this over?

Well that's genius. 👍

But that only would work if you knew how to tell the color of the car without opening the ticket.

See with the Academy cars the only way to tell Opel Black and Super Black without opening the ticket is to have them side by side. I would also assume there are other difficult prize cars to verify colors from Green Ticket only.

If I were to open the ticket to verify the black color, I would still have to reload my save to make the ticket green again. Then according to point 3) the game would give me another random color.

I'm talking OCD German, and I don't mean Online Car Dealership.

Edit: Ok wait I think I'm following you now, your saying combining Igwyana's trick with mine. So before you open each ticket to verify the color back it up to a second memory stick. 👍

Phew, thought I was going nuts for a while there.

The way you described how to do it, is exactly how I was doing it with the license trick. Also left 1 silver on the IA license to grab the Ford GT (No Stripe) '05 in all colours (ticket form) too.

Good to know there are other weird collector's out there too, shame you are booked up but I knew somebody must have it.

From what I've heard, it's 5000 items all up in total. Ticket+Paints+Gear etc.

The total limit inside GT5 is still 7000 items...gear/tickets/cars/paints/spare parts/

Easier this way anyway, hard to trust someone else to get this right.

At least you can sort your tickets by "type" in your ticket item list.


For me the whole green ticket GT-R thing is a bit too much. I sent all my academy cars to my 3rd account where they can stay 100% untouched & collect dust.

Middle Right- Dark Metal Gray

Bottom Left- Super Black (Notice how dark and rich it is)
