Apparently the Cuban Missile Crisis was more dangerous than previously thought. I found this interesting because I just did an essay on the Cuban Missile Crisis a few days ago.

Yeah, I read that - a US Navy ship was depthcharging Soviet submarines near the US/international limit and the Soviet captain was very close to firing a nuclear tipped torpedo in response (as you would!)

Scary stuff...
