OP i think the patch will be worth it unless one is on og hardware where it'll be the same ugly game.

I haven't had as many issues with AA on my OG PS4... even my league buddies are curious as to why my in game pics look so good compared to theirs...
Perhaps its my Canadian charm... who knows...

Some tracks look worse than others. I find the white lines all the way round Imola particularly jaggy compared to others. But tbf it's everywhere. Been playing all day today and although not detracting from my enjoyment (Renault RS01 is so nice!) it is a bit of an eyesore.

So i have heard, and i have seen it from other people's screenshots and replays... Im not denying that it happens, simply doesn't happen to me.
Basically im saying i find it odd that my PS4 doesn't have these issues... at least not enough for me to frequently notice... hence why i believe it must be my Canadian charm... sony noticed

Dude base ps4 isn't that ugly. I know you played the hell out of the game and enjoyed it driving the P1 gtr. So you having to quit because you're beginning to be bothered by the graphics sounds kind of bogus.
The guys always on about the lack of AA in the game influenced your enjoyment of the game which is a shame really. It's almost like hanging around a cult long enough you start to be like them and can't make up your own mind.
And you're still posting here so you obviously haven't given up completely on the game. If an update came that made the ps4 version a little better ate you telling me you'd still be done?
And no one is saying you're breaking any rules nor are they trying to act like a moderator. You responding in such a way comes off a little childish, almost like "you're not my real dad, don't tell me what to do" kind of way.
I'm a base ps4 Project Cars 2 player as well btw.

I still love the pcars series, But i wasn't the one that release such a horrible game on OG PS4

I've had no issues the game looks fine.
I must disclose I'm running a 32" screen and think you guys running 40+ are noticing more issues.

This is officially one of the saddest post i have ever seen,
What does YouTube have anything to do with anything?
I posted a few videos in the video thread.
My 10K miles with the GTR and my 147 hours i played of PCs 2 have nothing to do with Youtube.
Guessing by you using Youtube and the few videos i posted that you got nothing else.

I play on a 50 inch screen with PS4 (Pro) and the graphics look fine to me - I don't notice any jaggies while racing. Maybe I'm sitting too far away or maybe my eye sight isn't 100%. I also haven't had any (or hardly any) bugs - certainly not enough to affect my enjoyment of the game in any way. Maybe I'm just lucky.

My 32" is 30 inches in front of me attached to the playseat and is sublime.
My neighbor down the street has a 65" Sony (Bravia?) and the graphics are obviously considerably worse with all games not just PC2.
I've never been a fan of big screen gaming.

I have been switching between a 1080 32 tv and a 27 monitor for my rig and even if I like the extra screen space of the tv the game just looks better on a monitor... It helps a lot getting rid of the aliasing and the colors look better plus the extra response time gain is worth it. -- it might be worth trying for people who have been complaining about the aliasing. I'm on PS4 pro too btw... Looking fwd to reasonably priced HDR monitors hopefully next year.

I hate to contribute with this, but I have an old school PS4, a 50" 1080, that's 33" in front of me. I've never had a complaint about any game's graphics - until recently. While waiting for the patch, I've been playing GTSport for the past couple weeks. When I ran in my PCars 2 league last Monday night... I was pretty shocked by how much I've grown accustomed to GTSports gorgeous images. Now, I still think PCars 2 is the superior game. The car's physics and FFB are far superior. I'd also take the Live Track 3.0 over pretty graphics any day. I'm perfectly fine with PCars 2 the way it is. But... I do now see where some people are coming from. From a graphical standpoint, GTSport is way prettier. Someday we'll have it all. But for now, we need to just appreciate the good stuff each has to offer.

I too have an original PS4, with a 40" HDTV 20" in front of my face. I'll be the first to admit the game looks okay at the best of times on the original PS4. And at night it kind of reminds me of graphics on previous PS models.
However, you have to concede you're running quite a taxing game on hardware that was meant to be middle ground between affordability and performance and is now more than 4 years old. I would like better graphics and performance too, and I'll seriously consider buying a PC when PCars 3 no doubt requires me to retire my PS4.

I turned the sharpness down and don't notice the jaggies people go on about now .
I think it looks great . To be fair I haven't bothered with GT Sport as it's not for me so I can't compare but with my 35 year old eyes it looks more than good enough .
I had jaggies on the rear wing when I looked behind me until I messed with my settings and now the wing is perfect.
Might be worth a try if you haven't already

Does anyone know when this patch is actually due? I've been putting off buying the game up till now, but I am looking forward to coming back on the forum after this patch arrives, to see how you guys are all praising the PS4 version then!
I thought the demo was pretty good. I really want to buy this game - I just keep getting put off by the negative feedback! As soon as I see a hint of more positivity, it's a purchase!
