I got something wrong. It is Huisman who has never driven the track in RL before, not Said. Said is the first driver from the US to win the race.

The Viper btw was downgraded for the race. They disabled two cylinders to get a fair competition. But even with 2 cyl less than normal it still had about 600 HP.

yeah and the cup Porsches behind the Viper are almost stock ... then again this race was crazy... all the strong cars either had huge problems within the race or they had to quit completly, so if you had a relativly low powerd but stable car you could easily enter the TOP 10 and TOP 20.....
 
I really liked the weather conditions. Where else do you have sunshine, monsoon like rain falls and even hail at the same time? I couldn´t believe it when I saw the final laps on TV. The two leading BMWs passed a hail shower, then the tv station switched to another camera and it looked like they were driving in sunny Dubai.
