Thoughts on GT6 Intro (UPDATED: READ OP)

In case you haven't seen it, here it is:


UPDATE: According to Jordan's coverage from the launch event in Ronda, this video is a placeholder, and is therefore NOT the intro video for GT6.

Typically good stuff from PD. Their intros always capture the spirit of driving and racing IMO.

I voted Meh. I liked the headlights "on" the Lambo at the start. Im going to be obsessed with turning headlights on and off manually if we're able to.

Yes that was a fantastic piece of video... probably the best intro to a game I've seen. This is a good'un though, if more traditional...

This is probably a rushed job. Pretty sure they didn't spend a day on it . GT5 was ok but spec 2.0 was really good.

People only watch it once or twice so not too important. They may update it though

I voted meh. The first 20 seconds are amazing, but then the rest feels a bit flat. I think it's the combination of poor music and recycled footage from the trailers. The Brazil Game Show trailer would've been a much better intro IMO. Then again, GT5's intro (with MCR) feels a bit flat when I first saw it, but it has grown on me. Hopefully the Japanese intro with Moon Over The Castle will be better (or a Spec 2.0 like they did with GT5).

It's possible they will enhance the intro with a patch. I imagine it would be pretty straightforward to change camera angles/add footage etc as it's all pretty much scripted game rendering.

I liked it, yeah, but my favorite is the GT2's intro.
