Ignore my last post I have the record, only better:

and that is my contribution to the boards.
(Sorry it isn't very good, my camera is all screwed up and it still flashes for no reason.)

Rather than us having to ignore your post, you could have edited it to add your new speed. Double posting is frowned upon quite a lot on these boards, and certainly in a thread like this, we don't need lots of unnecessary extra posts. Sorry if that comes across as a little harsh or uninviting, as that isn't my intention; the rule is just something for you to be aware of in future. :)

On a more positive note, the picture's fine, certainly clear enough to see both the car name and speed attained. Well done! 👍

Can someone tell me exactly how to do achieve 300+MPH on either a Toyota GT-ONE Race Car (TS020) '99 or a Nissan R92CP Race Car, please??

I really want to do this, but don't know how.

I need the specifics. Thanks!

He was referring to what I said about there only being one 'individual car' record for all of the Zondas, and arguing that this shouldn't be the case because the Skylines have seperate records for each specification - but they don't. :)

ops... I have understood wrong :embarrassed: ...

basically the gearing make the biggest difference, reeaaaally long ones. also racing tyres, suspension and downforce are important

look here

Thanks!

I was able to get 372.79 MPH with the Toyota GT-ONE Race Car and 319.70 MPH with the Nissan R92CP.

Here are the pics:

NISSANR92CP - please refer to Post #1 for the rules

At a minimum you need to supply the Session Record screen for both cars and for the GT-ONE a video of the run (and anything else DE may want).

In any case, nice speeds

(Jeez, beaten twice in two days?)

I'm willing to bet that your Toyota GT-One TS020 was pulling a wheelie (which is against 300mph club rules), as theres no way you could reach that kind of speed without having masses of prior high speed tuning experience. If it was legitimate, I would also expect your Nissan R92CP speed to be close to the existing record for that car. Given that it is a wheelie speed, you should be able to increase the front downforce as necessary, and still be good for well over 300mph.

Speeds over 350mph require video evidence (capture card, digital camera etc are fine, just so long as it's clear), and generally you should give a screenshot of the session record screen, rather than the top results screen. These rules can be annoying at first, but are to ensure that all tuners have the same chance when competing for records. You can check out all the 300mph club rules in the first post of this thread.

There is also a separate thread for wheelie speeds on GTPlanet.

Sorry if I came across as harsh or unwelcoming, but we have to make sure that all the rules have been followed by new members. :)

Anyway, good luck! 👍

Thanks. Yeah, I think I had a wheelie with the Toyota GT-ONE.

If you still want to know, here you are. The overall biggest part you must use its the fully customise transmission. This not only allows you to spread your gears out, it gives you an extra gear wich is essential because most super and race cars only have five. When tuning it, spread them out to about 20-25 on the bars in the transmission tuning section. You might want to go crazy and put them out all the way, but this can backfire and you won't reach 300 before the end of the track. Another important part is a N.O.S. (nitrous oxyde system.) Some refer to it as cheating, but is very useful for increasing speed quickly when you are near 300 but you are just about at your top end. I usually set it to max performance because it raises your speed faster than longer duration. Other major parts include fully customised suspension and setting it to stiffest springs and lowest ride height. This raises performance and because the runway is a test course, there are no bumps, so your suspension will not bottom out. Don't forget to buy Super-soft racing tires to give maximum grip and a spoiler from GT auto for increased downforce on cornering speeds. Oh, and for a free upgrade go on the tuning menu and remove all the driving aids, which probably will raise your speed. Buy most of the upgrades, tunable or not, they all will make your car faster and faster. Don't fret if you don't hit the speed the first time. You'll make it, I guarantee it:)

Thanks Viperpilot and sorry MasterStorm for unnessessarry posting, I was new to the concept, but it won't happen again. I have come back to say I broke the record again! Here is my picture:

(not the best for a MINOLTA, but fast)

and I SWEAR I didn't use the wheelie cheat. I could upload a video, but I don't know how to get replay data off the PS2.

Appreciate the tips!

Have you guys beaten the whole game yet? I'm only 33.6% done. :(

By the way, which car would you say is the best?

Your welcome. Well, I'm not really "done" with the game, I'm only 37.1% through

Anyway my favorite race car is the 88c-V or the Nissan R92CP. Both have over 1,000 horses, both are super fast, both are my best;)

DE, Can you please put a "read rules in post one" in the thread title, we seem to be saying it a lot to all of the new people that seem to post here and then realize that they have been doing wheelies the whole time, not to name names, but I bet its happened to people thoughout this thread.

Its just a suggestion, im not sure how other members feel about it.

============

Just saw the E3 vidoe of GT5 prolouge and I reall want it bad, everything is better than GTHD by far, watch the video if you get a chance:tup:

It's been mentioned before, and, just as before, I really don't want to have to change the thread title itself - it's been the same for twenty-three months now, and I like it being 'pure', as it were, from making accomodations for people who can't be arsed to read things properly. So, unless it becomes a really serious problem, I'd like to just leave a bigger note in the first post.
It doesn't take too much effort to just tell people to make sure they've read all the rules, but it is annoying when some clearly haven't. I'll knock the message in the first post up a few sizes, anyway.

Any more opinions on what should be done about this?

Well done to our two new members:

ok the picture to prove my speed of 337 is coming it should be on the web soon! (my webcam broke and i had to wait for a new one)

Okay, I didn't know where to post this.

I was going to play GT4 , and when I turned the PS2 and the GT4 loaded, it said "Game Data Corrupted." Then it gave me a choice of either Canceling and starting a new game, or Retrying. I chose 'Retry' and it still said "Game Data Corrupted."

Is there a way or trick to fix this? I don't know why this happened? It was working perfectly yesterday.

Anyone know why? I would hate to have to start everything over.
