You need to fiddle with the gearing so that it's tall, but not so tall that you won't accelerate to the 300mph target.

Adjust the downforce to a low setting.

Lower the ride height, and soften the suspension.

That's all I've got, anyone going to correct me?

Sure. Downforce should be min at front, max at rear.

Ride height should be max at front, min at rear.

Also use supersoft tyres, and lower the TCS to 1. The Lotus's are pretty easy to get to 300, especially the sport 350. Good luck!

Any outside chance anyone know of a good setting for the GNX? I am fairly confident it's a very very long shot, but the closest I can get is 215mph, but that's with a bottle. Yikes!!! Any advice *not* involving ditching the car would be most welcomed. ;-)

The brick won't make it; we simply can't get enough power in it.

215 does sound a bit low though...

This is the 300 MPH CLUB, not the 300 KMH CLUB!! 312km/h is not even 195mph, and that guy already had 215mph which is over 340km/h. ;)

All you have to do little dude is hit the edit button and wipe the post. ;)

I will say this though, keep the tune for your little garage you've just opened up, it might make a good addition to it and you can keep improving on it as you go. :)

The little tyke's only 9yrs old Sam, so I think he didn't want to annoy the mods or thread creators. It went like this:

GNX asked if anyone could do a 300mph tune for the Buick GNX. SVX must've misread that and put up a whole setup (which is now in his garage) with it being a 312km/h tune rather than a 312mph tune. :sly:

I pointed out his mistake and he wanted to delete the post and I told him how to but to keep the tune for his shop (mainly cause I want to see how the little guys go at it. ;)). Since that bit, he accidentally sold his GNX.

Like Katt Williams says, poor little tink tink. :P

Mafs!!

Hey everyone

Thanks for being nice to me im had such a nice warm welcome I can't wait until the future. THANKS GTPLANET YOUARE THE BEST PLACE I'M BEEN TO!:):):):):cheers:

I'm partly to blame. I should have been clear and included the unit of measure. ;-) I sort of figured 300mph for the GNX was highly unlikely, but I figured I'd ask. ;)

N.B. Corrected my original post.

Yeah!!! Dude, im so happy, just managed in GT3 to get the Escudo up to 303.4. Is it valid if it is in GT3? Am i making the riducule cuz maybe in 370 pages of this forum someone already did this and its somthing very easy to do?. Please, if the answers are "Yes" and "No" i'd be happy to post pictures and join this great club.

Well I'm finally back from Maui and rearmed with a new camera and a reinvigorated lust for speed, so hopefully I'll get some new speeds up soon, even perhaps another stab at the record in the ts020 though the ZZII are well out of my NTSC league ;) Happy Valentine's everybody.

read the first post it states the rules for the club, if you've gone 300mph take a picture of your session record screen and you'll be in.

Nice to see you back, Vander - I'll be interested to see if you can challenge in the Toyota ;)

cobrawannabe, it doesn't really take much "scouring" to find the Leaderboard and its separate listings for each individual car :)

Sam

Pics coming soon, got 300-305 in speed 8, r89 and r92cp, 306-310 in xjr9, c9, record currently 318.5 done in both pescarolo c60 (newer one) and 88c/v. Best cars seem to be older 6 speeders though. used mt and driving force pro for all runs

Oooh, the Toyota 7 is hard. If you lower the downforce, it bumps too much to go fast, and if you increase the downforce, it'll stay glued, but still not go fast enough!!! I think I got pretty close with it though, keep trying :)

Late to join in i know, but i've just got into big time tuning. Ive managed 303.43mph with the Lotus Esprit V8, just gotta find that 7mph more that the top guys got!

Edit

After more work i've got it up to 307.35mph - and i reckon there's a reasonable amount left :)

I once got 307.48mph with a Minolta. I'll give proof as soon as I get my PS2 back (I loaned it to a buddy of mine, and GT4 won't run on my PS3 whatsoever).
