Hi all,
since my "old" G27 doesn`t work with PS4 (and project cars) I would like to buy a new wheel. After many days of informing myself about a wheel for PS4, I came to the conclusion that I will buy the T300 with the TH8A shifter and the T3PA pedals.
Now I have two questions:
1) Which wheel is better for the PS4, the T300RS or the T300 Ferrari GTE? (Both cost the same at amazon.it)
2) Even though i tried to inform myself, I still don`t understand the difference between the TH8A and the TH8RS. The TH8RS doesn`t work on PS4 and the TH8A does?

Greets

The only differences between the T300RS and GTE are the rims and color of some of the trim. The RS rim is a little more convenient, since all the buttons are labelled Playstation specific. The layout of the GTE rim would take a little longer to get used to because you have to remember what is X and what is L2, etc. It depends on which one you like the look of more really.

The TH8RS is specifically for the T500RS. The connector wouldn't fit on the T300. The TH8RS and TH8A are basically the same except for the connector. The RS also has some red trim where the A is black.

Ok thanks a lot. If I buy a T300 gte, i need the TH8A shifter, did I get this right?
Watching the images of the wheels, the t300rs seems to have better placed buttons for driving, is that only my impression?

Mechanically TH8RS and TH8A are identical. The only difference is that TH8A has two cables: USB and DIN plugs. The DIN plug allows you to plug it straight into the T300 base, which is not an option for the TH8RS.

But since the TH8RS is no longer being produced and has been superseded by the TH8A, the whole question feels academic. Especially since for PC use its best to plug the TH8A in via USB no matter what wheel you own, and PS3/4 supports the TH8A via USB as well.

While the buttons on the RS rim are all PS labelled, I actually find that it's harder to remember what I mapped the functions to because the 4 X/O/[]//\ buttons are all clustered close together.

Thank you guys,
i`m going for the T300GTE, the TH8A shifter and the T3PA pedals.
I was confused about the shifter because amazon.it has listed the TH8A, but the picture shows the one with the red trim, so before buying I have to ask them which shifter it really is..
