Hi all,

I bought a defect Thrusmaster T300 RS GT in the hopes of being able to repair it.

Right now i'm trying to troubleshoot the real issue with the help of Youtube and this forum and I hope you might have an idea where the problem lies and how to solve it.

  1. Starting the wheel, it makes a loud noise and there is no form of calibration.
  2. I opened up the wheel and the noise seemed to come from the ventilator, but after detaching that, the noise is still there.
  3. It appears to come from the motor?, where the belt is attached to a little white rotor. The belt quickly moves very slightly to the left and right, but not all the way left and right like it is supposed to do.
  4. I saw a Youtube clip where the circuitboard was slightly broken, but mine seems normal.
  5. My guess is that the problem lies somewhere over there, because if I move the rotor on the belt to the left and right, it is not blocked, the magnet close to the circuit board changes its position and the connection where the steering wheel is supposed to be, changes direction too. It just doesn't do it when connected with current.
What would be my way forward to make sure that is the issue and do you have any ideas on how to solve that?

Thanks in advance
