Just trying to figure out what is going on with this new thrustmaster wheel. It looks like it might be a good wheel, but there is no information about it anywhere. People have been waiting 5+ years from GT5 and when it finally launches the supposed "official" wheel can't even launch at the same time?

Not only can you not buy it, but other than a flash video on TM's website, no one would even know it existed. It isn't listed under their products section, no release date has been provided, & no price has been provided (a tweet from Kaz doesn't count in my book). What gives?

Ignoring the multiple delays, the game was pushed back 3 weeks from when it was supposed to launch and here we are 2 weeks after that and still nothing about this wheel? This is akin to releasing a new gaming console with out any games to play on it.

As for the price, here to hoping that the $500 price isn't in US dollars for sale in the US. At that price only the most die-hard racing fanatics will even consider it. Without an H shifter included I can't imagine paying more than the $300 MSRP that the G27 goes for.

The Driving Force GT is still an official wheel for GT. The deal between Thrustmaster and PD probably spawned pretty late in development of GT5 and it takes time to build a product.

"official" is just a paid marketing gimmick to sell the product to people who don't realise that many wheels work perfectly with the game.

Not sure if it's a marketing gimmick but I do have to say that all the wheels I've tried on GT5, courtesy of the brother in law, work excellent. Still, my DFGT doesn't have an H shifter. :(

Have they ever shown the TM gate shifter yet? I'd wait for reviews...being TM and all
