I sell my G27 once i haven´t any information about PS4 compatibility yet. Now i need to buy another wheel. The T500RS are one of my favorites but in August we have the T300RS. The pedals are different (much better in T500) but there is much difference when we compare only the wheel technology? Do you have any suggestion that could help my choice? I can´t buy only the T300RS wheel (shifter in the wheel) and the T500 pedals unfortunately. Sorry for my bad English.
Regards.

Both will be compatible with PS4, but reviews of it haven't come yet as the T300RS isn't on the market yet. But from what I understand, the T300RS is basically the TX that is compatible with PC, PS3, and PS4.

I'm not sure if the T3PA pedals are actually any different than the T500RS pedals as they don't look any different.

If you can wait, go for the T300RS.

If you was going to play on PC (I will at some point), I would suggest getting either of the wheels, ditching the pedals, and get yourself a set of Fanatec Clubsport V2 pedals. Or, just forgoing either of them and just getting a CSW to go with the pedals.

But only Thrustmaster wheels are confirmed for PS4 compatibility...

I will play on PS4 (project cars) and PS3 (gt6). Fanatec have nice wheels and pedals but there is no information about PS4 compatability.

Well, there is a @mrbasher adapter that makes Fanatec pedals compatible with at least TX and T500RS, so you can use those pedals on consoles too.

I wouldn't boast about it everywhere. T300 is yes said to be PS4 compatible, but T500RS not. T500RS may work with PCars, but it doesn't work in PS XMB menus and so, it may also not work with any other racing game that comes in the future although they'll probably try.

Well, if the wheel of T300 is better then T500 why the pedals of T500 is much better then T300? Maybe thrustmaster want to stock out the T500 Wheel and release later the T300 with new pedals.

Who knows what it is really about, but I think using those bad pedals can keep the package cost low to make it more attractive in terms of price. They also earn more by letting you pay for bad pedals to make you want to buy better ones and therefore make you pay for two sets of pedals even though original ones would just stay in the closet or even scrap them aand therefore just wasting money.

Sony themselves said the T500RS is compatible with the PS4. Yes, it doesn't work in the XMB, but you can just use a DS4 to do that. It is also compatible with Driveclub.

Basically they said it's up to the game to support it right? Or am i remembering wrong?

Im trying to decide as well! Im just going to buy it today and test it out. Ive only ever briefly used the t500rs but at the end of the day I dont want the t500rs pedals and the t300 brushless motor sounds nice!!!

the wheel is interchangable with other Thrustmaster wheels (the Ferrari F1 Wheel Add-on*, Ferrari GTE Wheel Add-on* and T500 RS* GT Wheel). The T300 RS’s pedal set features metal pedals with a long range of travel, which are fully adjustable in both height and spacing – with 6 different possible positions per pedal. The brake pedal even features progressive resistance.

The T300 RS is also compatible with the Base Fixed Paddle Shifters kit* (allowing users to install stationary paddle shifters on the wheel’s base), Thrustmaster’s 3-pedal pedal sets (T3PA* and T500 RS*), and the TH8A* and TH8RS* shifters.

Is the T300RS pedals really of metal? It seems like plastic TX pedals with metal footplates. I don´t know if that make them any more rigid :)

I would go for the t300rs wheel, as it is compatible with all the wheels and comes with a brandless version of the 458 challenge wheel. I like the reviews I have seen of the shifter that you can buy for the T300rs, and for pedals I would go for the Fanatec CSR Elite Pedals with the inversion add on for the brake and clutch.

I've faced facts and I'm gonna have to say goodbye to my G25 and now stuck between these 2 wheels.

How much better is the T300 wheel to the T500 ? Because the pedals are awful and in don't really want to pay £300 for a wheel then £250 for pedals.

The plus is the paddles on the wheel like I'm used to but I can't comment on fixed as I have never tried and I don't really wanna go the route of buying a new wheel for the T500 either.

I've got a tough choice and I'm hoping you can help.

+ £290 for Gt Omega ART aswell, project cars best be worth it.

Does the T300 have the same loud cooling fan as the T500?

Not all T500 have the same fans so that's a hard question to answer. I've seen some T500's that were fairly loud and some that are almost inaudible. The T300 assuming its practically identical to the TX which by all photos and information seems to be, should be very quiet. My T500 fan is pretty noticeable but my brother's T500 fan is almost silent. My TX fan is very quiet.

Just waiting a release date, I've tried to get the best of both worlds as I have got a set of T500 pedals and just waiting for the release of the T300 and I'm good to go..

Add a TH8A shifter and Basherboards brake bushing mod to the mix and you'll have a really oustanding setup for the PS3/PS4 and PC.

Yea mate and I'm looking at the next level racing stand, looks solid and be good to save the space of a full rig.

Pedals have turned up today and well impressed with them, didn't think the brake was too bad but just so much distance so ordered the basherboards brake mod.

Hopefully the shifter will be released on Monday along with the wheel and I'll make a decision then but might just stick with the paddles now that they move on the T300.

The T500 pedals are fine with the brake mod, my only complaint after that is the lack of travel for the gas and clutch pedal and soft spring resistance, but its not a deal breaker, you can still race just fine with them.

Platform is PLaystation3 game GT6 GT5 only.
I found many problems with T500RS such as Shifters became broken (shift up and down twice in one click) brake pedal apply itself, and calibration problem on the wheel incorrect position up to 10 degree, cooler is too noisy.
just try Google use keyword T500RS problem and you will see many web topics and on youtube also.
But I am really like bigger size of the wheel, heavier wheel three pedals set... And I didn't find those problem on the T300 RS. My result is T300RS more reliable than T500RS.
Is it true?
Help me to make decision what to choose because I am going to send back G27 only because feedback on this wheel too slow for me and size of the wheel smaller than T500.
I ordered for $500 T500RS from Fry`s electronics if so will replace to T300RS if first one will be not reliable.
Also I found that T500RS has two version of hardware version 2 and version 4. Also available new sostware update from Thrustmaster site V43

Help me guys...
I wanna T500RS and like that shifters is stationary and we can shift in corner and many other, but if it not reliable... a don't know... I trusted G27 - it was like unbreakable hummer... Sorry for limited English.

There are A LOT of T500RS wheels & pedals in use, so there will be reports of problems. T300RS is just out... See ?
I love my T500RS. Now (after three years of intensive use) the shifter switches start to degrade (some double shifts, sometimes no shifting). For 16,40€ Thrustmaster delivered new (improved) switches.
Version 4 features an other (better) construction of pedal springs. In (my) version 2, the accelerator pedal springs tend to break after a year or so (TM sends free replacements - until now at least).
I also do like the stationary shifters, which were one of the reasons I replaced my G27 by the T500RS. What a difference overall !
I never had issues with calibration or brake pedal (I use the MrBasher mod).
I don't recall the distance covered in GT5 with te T500RS, but in GT6 I covered +110.000 km...;)

To go along with what Fanapryde said above, I've had my T500RS for over two years, and I haven't had even a hint of a problem, ever.

Now, full disclosure, I removed the static paddle shifters altogether as I have a SM custom wheel with paddle shifters on the wheel, so I haven't had to deal with any potential issues that may have come from the shifter switches, but the T500RS has been bulletproof for me so far (knock on wood), and I've put it through it's paces.

As long as the T500 has been on the market, you are bound to hear about problems. Most people don't talk about it when their product works as it should.

I have had my T500 RS for 2 1/2 years with about 1 1/2 years of heavy use with no major problems. I did replace the switches in the paddle shifters after I started to get some double shifts. Very reliable wheel.

Thanks guys... Let me be consistent. My only sim it is GT series. I tried G27 T300RS and Thrustmaster T80 (No feedback). And last one I like more only by one reason: It is has spring inside and it is imitate more real wheel than all another. I did not find any realistic feedback in GT5 GT6. Especially when car is going straight. It is start "swimming". And I realized that problem not with steering wheel problem with source code into GT series. But huge minus on T80 it is pedals block and Dead 0 position. My opinion will buy again g27 and will setup Feed back in 0 percent. This steering wheel has optimal price and quality. Especially many mods and upgrades and perfect pedals block, like T500. So this is my experience. Sorry for English again.
