Thursday Fun Night (Re-named)

Andy. It was 22:07 last week as Joe had to pick up his daughter so we all agreed to wait for him. The guys are accommodating (Time Zones) if they know someone is coming.

But I do try to get it finished before midnight for our EU members, not fair to expect them to race into the wee hours of the next day.

Eric sorry to say with the lack of AI cars that one can add to lobby racing, you would have to grab another member to join you.

All part of the Fun or mystery of the combo having to work on the fly, but at least all members will be in the same boat.

As it says in the heading fun night, come have fun, good company, good banter and good laughs. We can all do serious racing any time day and night, these are fun events, very relaxed, ment to make you smile if it dose then it's done the job.

Thanks Philip. Don't confuse being overly competitive with my OCD . I don't race online much and just want to be able to simulate everything beforehand so there are no surprises. (like running out of fuel with one lap to go )

By the way guys as you know my health conditions (Epilepsy, unstable Angina and Arthritis) means I live on a cliff edge from day to day.
I do try my best to be here and open a lobby room @ 21:00hrs GMT to 21:30hrs GMT why this time, not by choice but to cover as many time zone

If I'm not here and any member is you can always open a lobby, don't wait for me just in case

@Eric I'm sure there will be a chat room, a lot also use text. And these events are very casual, if there is more than one race members are free to join any or all, depending when they can make it.

@larry a compromise , you do the wheel bit, the wife dose the pedals.

My apologies to our EU members, I'm very sorry it ran on past midnight trying to get all our members into the race if they are good enough to turn up for the nights entertainment.

All I can ask to make the evening run smooth (ish) is please read the race event post in the thread so you come armed with all the info. If any settings ext are not clear please ask before hand in the thread.

I think the award for the night has to go to MickeyLCR for this livery.

Video of race 2

Amazing just how close the racing was considering how different the two cars performed on track. Each had it's own +/- different braking and turn in points, tyre wear and fuel usage.

I could see Andy made good use of the pre-race info of coming out of the docks area on a good line to pinch a place back from the Porsche, which was hard to hold off coming down the first straight away, that showed off the planing into matching the two cars.

The Porsche if allowed could get away if you let it, so you had to drive the nuts off the Subaru. If you did get away in the Porsche, as soon as you got any where near half wear on the tyres, it was planed that the Subaru would start to pull it back in again.

Sorry about that. I think we all found out in the first right hander, that the two cars have different braking distances.

Great video Phillip. It was a fun race. Lots of laughing, hitting walls and some close racing with two very different cars.
