Thursday Night BMW Racing: Cancelled

The race time would be 8am for you. I fixed the time zone link in the first post, not sure when that got messed up.
Part of the idea of this (not a) series was to have some regular race nights during the week, since so many events are on the weekends. I'll admit, the time is really intended for those located in the Americas (or those who race at odd hours
).I'll be hosting practice rooms from time to time to test out possible tracks. If anyone opens a practice room, just post up the room number here so others can join easily.
Edit: Tonight's event may be in jeopardy if the PSN issue isn't resolved. Currently I can't sign on, was OK last night.

Well, it's time to pull the plug on tonight unfortunately 
PSN is showing no sign of coming back anytime soon; it was pretty optimistic to think it was going to be back in time for this event.
If it's back up tomorrow or Saturday, I'll post up a (more) informal BMW event so those who can make it can at least get out in their cars.
As of Sunday I'll be away from the PS3 until next Friday due to a work trip, which also brings up the issue of next week's event. I was originally going to judge the success of this week's event and then decide what to do about next week, but that's not happening.
Would anyone else like to host next week?
I'd rather not postpone the start of these events for 2 weeks.

Unfortunately, I coach vball every other Thurs night at 5pm PDT. And, due to a recent schedule change, I will be covering the next two weeks. Today, however, I had off.
Seperate note.. what is psn doing on your end. I was able to open my online lounge(which strangely I have been disconnected from before). Will it not let you do that? Maybe mine is different, because the ps3 has been on for the last couple of days.
EDIT___ It just let me create a room. I called it bmw. 1472-4711-0167-3382-3197
EDIT 2____ lol, after being connected for 5 plus minutes, I just got disconnected from my own room. Now when I click on open lobby it says "you cannot use this function, as you are not currently online." I assume this is the message you have been receiving the whole time.

I'm heading out of town tomorrow, and won't be back until Friday night. Maybe PSN will be back up by then
Assuming it's back up for Thursday, this event is all yours to run. It's pretty self explanatory, and pretty casual so just go have some fun.
I'll be keeping an eye on the thread from my iPhone, so I can see how much fun you guys will be having without me
Let me know if you need anything edited on the first post and I'll see what I can do.

The fate of these events is a bit up in the air right now to be honest. I was actually thinking about this today.
I haven't even turned on the PS3 since the first weekend after PSN went down.
Since then I've been traveling for work a bunch, and now I have just put my condo on the market.
Since I have to keep my place spotless now for potential showings, I've put my wheel and PS3 away so it's going to be much more inconvenient to drag everything out now.
I'd like to keep this going, I'm just not sure how much I can commit to hosting at this time.
This was really meant to be an informal fun gathering, so anyone can host as long as we follow the same format from week to week.

I can host sometimes, but I can't host every week. If we get a few people that are willing then between all of us we should be able to keep it going. Anybody else interested. I'm not available until 9pm CST as that's when I'm done putting kids to bed, etc. (That's currently 8pm PDT or 11pm EDT. Here in SK we like to keep it simple, changing clocks is too confusing)
