Hey Everyone,

With the announcement of GT Academy I thought it best explain some of the dates, but also look back at the previous GT Academy and somethings we can probably expect from the upcoming Academy!! I also explain some of the upcoming tutorials to help with the academy including a few added bonuses that will be coming to really help with improving as a racer!!

Enjoy!

Hey Everyone,

Apologies with the delay of the Road to GT Academy! Was busy practicing for the F1 Championship being held over here! The thread is here: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=273980 and is also broadcast live by Oink :)! It has some of the best drivers I know of in the championship so took some footage of my Qualifying session. Q1 is here, and the first 12 drivers make it through (It follows all the usual F1 Rules :D!)

My voice doesn't sound nearly as good as yours or oink's. A French-Canadian/Maine/Boston accent just doesn't have the same "flare" when paired with an F1 event (or anything else for that matter) as your royal version.

You should cross post this to our event thread (or link here if you want). 👍

I've posted in both for ease of use as some don't check the video sections and also putting in the other thread means that anyone specifically after that F1 session can have a look for it :)!

Q2 for those that are interested :), this was really one of the most tense Qualifying sessions you will see, times are at the end on this one, do have a gander!

Nice lap.

And really pretty clutch considering it was done with only 2 minutes left in Q2 (the Q2 checkered was to come out at 1:55:00.000 on the clock) and this lap put you in the last transfer spot to Q3. Unfortunately for me, it knocked me into 7th and unfortunately for you TamHablo knocked you down to 7th with less than a minute left.

Given how good your lap was at 1:09.543 it's almost unbelievable that PASM ran a 1:08.640 which I think is pretty close to the theoretical best. Too bad in free run mode there is no replay, thus no way to go back and look at that magic lap.

Cheers man,

I was building towards that lap, but couldn't believe I got knocked out at the chequered flag basically, crazy stuff, all good fun though 👍

Ye Barts lap was crazy quick! Although, you've seen from the footage im in the .3 in Sector 1 a fair few times which is a tenth off that .6 on the board!! You never know GT6 may contain qualifying again :)!, I think it's apart of GT which is missing at the moment!!

Good Day Everyone :)!

The latest Track guide has just been uploaded! It seemed a pretty good fit to try get one in as it was of Monaco, which is relevant to me with the recent F1 stuff, but also can be related to the latest Timetrial released!!

I'm hoping to really push alot of GT Content out now as I have found 2 hours spare lately, so can get some more videos out :D!!

Any comments/Questions/Constructive Criticism/Requests feel free to message me :)!

Enjoy!

Hey Everyone :)!

First of you'll notice a trailer now on the first page, that's for my youtube unsubscribed viewers, youtube requested to put one on in the new design, so if your interested as to what my channels about, feel free to watch :)!

The latest video:

I've mentioned recently that I wanted to do some casting/commentary again on some races especially now I'm using far better software and also have the ability to stream again! So to test it out I'm doing a post commentary on a 6 race championship (3 different cars, 6 different tracks!) involving the official playstation community (OPC) and RoninGT.

Essentially each Monday a new race will be uploaded, it may have different features each race as I'm just trying new things out, but I'm hoping to use the best of the ideas for live commentaries!

Anyhow I think this championship should be very enjoyable, from what I remember (It was raced in January!) it was good fun, but can't remember what happened so it's sort of like semi-live. Certainly no editing, I hit go and watch it through!

I am after any constructive criticism & ideas that can help improve this sort of stuff as I think Gran Turismo needs to spread out so that more people can experience this brilliant game :)!

Hey Everyone,

I recently was going to start doing some of the GT Time trials to really get into it before GT Academy. Unfortunately after reading the latest thread on it I decided not to, but instead decided to have a quick go last night at the latest GTP WRS Time trial. This ones at Autumn Ring Reverse with the Silvia RM! I'd recommend trying out their TT's they really are fun, entertaining and a great bunch!!

Anyhow here's the lap that got me the 3rd place spot!

Afternoon Guys,

Hope your day isn't as chaotic as mine today!! Never the less todays video is up! It's a request from somebody in an email with a championship they have coming up. I do accept requests so if you want a track guide earlier give me a shout in anyway you'd like and I'll be happy to see what I can do :)!

So the track guide is of Daytona Road Course, as usual I talk about the driving line, reference points, advantages and show a flying lap and pit lane guide!

Any questions fire away :)!

P.s. My webcams are now setup so an interesting video tomorrow :)!

Afternoon all!

We still have sun in England, Shocking to have a week of it, unheard of really, especially up here in the north :D! A bit like the sunshine in England this video was slightly later than planned but here it is :)! The road to GT Academy 2013 episode 20!

In this episode I just show you the wheel cam and foot cam, which I can use both in livestreams and in guides which some of the future episodes will show! But also if you have any ideas or something you want to see, give me a shout and I'll see what I can do :D!

Evening All!

Sorry for the delay but had to walk up a very large hill 3 times (It's 20ft of being called a mountain lol)! So only just got back and sat down and stuff!! Anyway! Another Video, and another NEW series. Alot of people have asked to race me in messages/comments etc. I always want to race people, but figured it would be nice to actually organise something, and take something from the race, so the new series is called Duel! The Rules :);

- It will be a 1 vs 1 over a 3 lap race (Nurburgring if chosen will be 1 lap)
- Clean / Decent standards no smashing, bashing, absolute insane divebombs, that even grosjean wouldn't do.
- The car (Recommended Garage) and track will be random, so when you join the lounge you have a choice of picking the car or track, I'll pick the other.
- You get 1 outlap, and 1 fast lap.
- Hit Start and have a fun little duel :)!

How to race me?

Simple: - Post in the Videos Comments (Figured it would be easier all in one place) , or in any Duel video and I'll send you a message (It's more than likely these will happen on a Saturday). We can arrange all the times and stuff and then have a good old fashioned race :D!

Here's the video of a friend of mine and myself having a race, similar rules car and track picked by each other, was raced awhile back but enjoy!

Nice idea, will you post all races from these or just the better races you get?

I'll look forward to it 👍

:D, I think they will be good fun for sure :D!

===============================

Evening All,

The next video is up, took over 8 hours of my time today to make, render, commentate, compress, upload! Crazy but well worth it of course :D! The video is of a lap vs lap comparison from the Week 119 GTP WRS Time trial at Autumn Ring Reverse. The laps are my own, and GTP_Eclipsis the winner of this weeks time trial, and who is an insane driver if any of you do TT's you will have seen this name already, many times!!

Enjoy!

Hey Tidgney.

So, after a while of inactivity playing GT, I decided that I would get back on and make myself a GTP account, so this means I can take part in the WRS. Your video's have been so helpful so far, I've only got a few left of the Road to GT Academy series until I've caught up.

Since I've started over on GT5, I thought it would be the perfect time to put some of those tips into action. I was doing the licenses earlier and I remembered that I always had trouble with National A/8 (Tackling the Schumacher S). I'd managed Gold in the past, but it would always take a few attempts before reaching Gold. The magic time is 13:800.

After about 15-20 attempts I was putting in consistent times, always missing out by less than a tenth of a second, my closest attempt being a 13:806. I know, right? So close. But I remembered that you said, the more you can place the car to point out of the corner - which gives you better exit speed, the faster you can go. I put this into practise and on my first attempt I shaved off over half a tenth. Time - 13:745

Thanks again, mate. I'm finding improvements literally everywhere!

Hey Yukon :)!

That's absolutely great to hear that, that helped! So awesome to hear, now you'll never forget that either as it's helped so that one licence, and that one tip has improved you :D! That's all you need to do to make it to being the best you can be!! Always awesome to hear stuff like this :)! Keep it up! 👍

P.s. sorry for the late reply, rather burnt from watching the BTCC live at Oulton park :D!

Morning All,

Apologies for the delay with yesterdays video, here it is non the less!! The second race in the 6 part championship series involving the OPC (Official Playstation Community) and RoninGT. Once again we are in the Lupo Cup Cars at Tsukuba!!

Enjoy!

Afternoon All :)!

I thought I'd do a different video for today, and look at the E3 trailer of Gran Turismo 6! Also looking at the new engines/models coming into the game, what could happen because of this, and also a bit of a mention for the American tournament going on at the moment to become that elusive Racer X :)!

Enjoy!

Afternoon all :)

Me and Ghost had a bit of fun last night, and are planning a fair few races. This one had some hairy moments as we quickly got in and drove! I've called this serious Rivalry as there will be a few of these coming out as me and ghost do race alot :D!

Check out the description for full information but enjoy!

Evening All,

Bit of friday fun, with the Road to GT Academy :D! Now with this and the upcoming episodes I'm going to link them closely to the GT Academy 2013, starting on July 2nd... Well the demo does so I assume that's the case! Essentially I want to look at things that will probably change more drastically and things you may not normally think about... So first of all.. It's weight distribution. It does have an effect in GT5, but could more so in GT6 with the new suspension and tyre model!!

Enjoy!

Morning All!

Mannymandem1 was the first racer to step up and have a go at duel! He chose the track of Nurburgring GP/F, so I chose the car of the Mini Cooper S. I qualified on pole, and we had a very enjoyable race! Manny is an excellent racer, and thoroughly enjoyed the race, special props to his top class driving and excellent defending!

Enjoy!

Just to also mention Manny has asked for some tips, so I'll be using his fastest lap as a quick tip guide, which I'll happily do to anyone competing in Duel!

Afternoon Everyone!

Hope for those dads on the forum, that your having a nice day :D! My dad has bled my bank account clean dry now haha :)! Onto videos though and as mentioned I am starting to play through Gran Turismo in one last 'Hurrah' motion. In the first video I go through the options of my wheel, and the settings and then do Licence B1. Each licence or event I will spend 15 minutes on, and I can see many of these being uploaded in a day, as GT6 Demo isn't that far away!! With each licence will come just the licence video itself as well so enjoy both!!

Hey Again guys,

First off just to let you know I'll rearrange the first post tomorrow to fit in the playthrough and also post the licence playlist!

Apologies to post more videos again today (Well hopefully you quite like this :D!) Usually it will all be in one post as they upload during the day while I work! Non the less I bring the second part of the playthrough with Licence B2. I think this one is really of use to those of you really wanting to improve. As it's developing 1 corner over a 15 minute period, and there's no braking. It's all about lines and how you go about the corner.

Any questions as always fire away!

Enjoy!
