You're welcome!

Here's a clip that explains it well, he's an elite driver.

so is this guy...

Controller sensitivity does nothing to a wheel user. Absolutely nothing, zero, nada. Trust me, if it does I would feel it 100% even if it was so tiny

Always felt like sort of grey area to me, i''m a controller user but have acces to feedback setting, which clearly doesn't apply for a DS5, but seems to have an effect on motionsteering, and now we also have 2 top wheel drivers who seems to be at a different angle on this.
I will follow this closely, there comes a day that the daughter flies out...... gameroom incomming then with a wheel setup

Maybe Ebrahim after the 1.49 update changed his mind !
well people have been promoting the idea since long before 1.49 so I doubt it. Just for myself, I can throw the controller sensitivity slider right from one extreme to the other and feel no difference at all on the wheel. 🤷‍♀️

otoh, it's not hurting anything either so even if it's just placebo, if it works for you it works for you. ;)

Did somebody say quick update!??

Not a single second wasted here and almost a one stop shot at Interlagos; not my favourite combo it has to be said. The Vulcan feels like a sort of hyper musclecar; very quick buy even on racing soft tyres very prone to understeer and snap oversteer. Doesn’t like trail braking at all which is quite frustrating at a technical track like Interlagos

If I had time I think I could have just squeezed a 1:25.xxx but as it’s four tenths (which is exactly equal to two corner exits @feral and bad 😘) it’s a stretch too far and I might be done here

Expecting @djolliea to come and obliterate us but happy at the top for now

I’m on holiday from the end of this week so will have to sacrifice at least one trial; can anyone give me an honest and succinct breakdown of the ‘new one’ pretty please and whether it’s worth crack? Seems like another combo where car doesn’t suit track 🙃

Well, you must have figured out 3 corners then, as you are exactly .600 faster than your time that was reported yesterday.
Absolutely incredible lap. Keep up the good work or whatever they call it in your galaxy.

The controller sensitivity setting also applies to steering wheels.
ok I will try thanks for the information !
The sensitivity I tend to have on -2 on the wheel now, as it gives smoother inputs and less snap oversteer.

It became very apparent recently in the AMG VC, in the first two rounds I was running it at 4 but after the update I was experiencing really bad understeer and crazy snap oversteer, I adjusted to -2 and it felt much smoother and helped keeping the car under better control but the Mercs physics have most definitely changed and feel awkward on the G29 now.

It is in my opinion much better than the Interlagos one. More natural. Requires patience and finding what suits you. If you watch Tidgney and Kie's videos, you will see they use different gearing approaches. Kie's worked better for me on the couple of runs I've had.

I usually don't fiddle around with controller sensitivity, I'm used to my settings and that's it.
By the way, I use DS4 and AT. But for the Viper TT I tried MT and with the advice of @Tidgney and some inspiration of @Metalgear9493 by watching his best lap, I shaved 0,5 seconds off my previous AT time in about 20 laps.
Never thought that I can get used to MT so fast, but here you only need gears 2,3 and 4.

Edit 0,7 seconds.....Alien in the making....

There must be something wrong in the air here, first the g29 failure, now internet not working.
Both have now a smoking gun (me for the g29, the company doing fiber wiring in my town the second), both with resolution TBD 😞

However, first try at autopolis with dualsense + hotspot

Would call it room for improvement 🤔

Holy moly! A gain of over 2 tenths today at Interlagos, and that was with a missed apex at turn 4. I'll take it, though!

Considering there are only two days left in the TT, I'm going to savor my current placing on my friends' list. Of course, I'm waiting for a couple of Scandinavians (@djolliea and @NAXEHT) to overtake me. But for the time being, I've only got @Dan_Tes above me. :dopey:
