How many % of people managed to get silver in Barcelona tt ?

The numbers are cumulative. 4.5% have silver or better. 38.8% have bronze or better. So 61.2% didn't even reach bronze.

Hi,

Around 40 years ago, a friend of mine had the utterly insane idea of becoming a rally driver. He, somehow, managed to talk me into being the mechanic and navigator. With absolutely NO idea what we were doing. We decided to practice on a public road between two villages where we still live. In a mildly "tweaked" MK1 Escort, we paced out the road and then tried to rally it. At around the 30 second mark he lost control. All I can remember is seeing sky - tarmac - sky - tarmac - sky - tarmac - hospital! My rally days ended right there!!!

Catalunya today - 30 laps. 30 red laps. Best time 1:48:999. I will not be returning to rallying. Good luck everybody!

Best regards to all here.

Ian.

Last test today at Catalunya :
I feel very close to my friend Daniel (@Pesselles )...😍😍.
I'm having a little more fun on this circuit than yesterday but it's not great yet. At 00'300 from the gold medal it's not long but so far !!!!
Improve my time at 0'47'156

Edit :
last test and improve a little at 0'47'121
Ami Jérôme,

No need to say I'm very happy for you (even if you're, once again, faster than me but that's not a surprise).
Gold is not so far but it's very far, I totally agree with you!

Good luck for the hunt, mon ami ;) (allez les bleus)

Well.... haha ...

So I retourned to it. Made a few improvements, but my best one is with an very UGLY 13.1 in the first sector (I'm usually in 12.75-12.85...). Oh well, just hope it will do.

View attachment 1405701
Well that didn't take long 🙈🙈🙄🙄🤣🤣
How in the h*ll did he managed that, he made a lot of people mad 🤣🤣🤣
And we still have a lot of days to go 🤣
Now I'm seriously wondering what the gold cutoff wil be 🫣🫣, good job on the progression!

He's gone and poked the bear.

The bear should go into hibernation and let Chals have it, otherwise we all go silver 🤣🤣

While everyone is rallying, I'm quite happy to wrestle this laggy pig around LeMans, and I'm actually enjoying it :D

Goal to get into the 25s is easily achieved, but I'm even more annoyed now then I was before this session, because on this very lap I totally ruined everything in the last sector, losing a staggering 7 tenths (30.8, my best before that was 30.1), that's where I'm very inconsistent, the entrance to the Porsche curve is literally a hit or miss, usually miss, that dictates the rest of the sector, either I nail it and have a 30.1-30.2 or completely overcook it or go in too slow and narrow and lose all momentum and rhytm, which happened on this lap.

I don't know if I will try again, maybe, on a perfect lap I believe very high 24s are achievable, and if I manage to complete a good lap without any major mistakes, very low 25 is on the horizon, but we'll see :)

So I decided to grind this one and I manage to get a sub 46 time which wasn't originally my goal but I'm more than happy that I did it. I actually ended up enjoying this one because it's something new and a track I had no knowledge about prior so this was quite good. I might continue to grind this one as I feel I could get a low .9 or a very high .8 but we'll see. Overall I'm very satisfied that I managed to pull off a sub 46 with a controller.

Not the result I wanted. How can it be soo hard to find time on a 13 km track? It's not fair. I did not expect to find myself in this situation because I'm usually able to get the gold in my first session. I've had two cracks at it and I'm still not there. I stayed up until 11:30 last night trying to find the last few tenths because I really want the extra reward. Like Khajiit, I'm obsessed with coin.

I've never played the Elder Scrolls.

Hello everyone, just yesterday I set a top 100 time at catalunya RX but the times keep dropping. Insanely brutal time trial so far.

Snugged a 46.458 after almost 400 miles on the car. Had a 46.2 gone red after tapping the inside on the last turn.

Used handbrake quite a bit , but not to the point of letting it slide. Just the slightest of taps to unsettle the rear just so lightly.

Some banger pictures as well.

And of course the jump

Even made a little guide as a YT short.

If you guys could check it out and let me know what you think I would be very grateful.

Good luck everyone.

Nice video Joey , and funny to see you also smoke both rights on the long left hander 😁🤣, does everybody smoke there?, now I'm curious 🤣
It does make me laugh that there are cone markers on top of the tire walls as if you couldn't see them 😂
And still...... I hit them frequently.....🤣

I needed to make a new video because of the wrong timestamp of 01:46.xxx but ran a few laps before changing it in the hope for a new PB 🤣

That said..... I just can't get S1 to work, lowest was a 12.680 but I'm always in the .7xx if my further lap is descent, cursed as all previous trials 🤣🤣
So still there is good tenth on there...
And still curious what the fastest way is to approach the long left...

But all not to Shabbbyyyyy this morning ending in a 46.287 so licking the top 100 again .....for now....🤣🤣

Have a good weekend folks,

Closing on top 100 in Yaris/Rally Cross made me think of Gyro calibration. Anyone heard if it's possible to adjust settings for gyro in playstation operating system, not in game itself. I tried all settings in game, for controller, and then I remembered someone posted here that if you are on wheel, controller sensitivity still have impact on steering wheel. Not at home right now to test, but start wondering if I play with some wheel settings, will it impact gyro in controller? Yeah I know how crazy that sounds. I know we are only two on this thread playing game on Gyro, but I gladly collect all feedback from any of you others if you heard or seen something somewhere.
What I am experiencing right now, is extreme sensitivity. Maybe I should make a video? I mean I dropped all settings to lowest possible but when I tilt controller let's say 10 degrees, Yaris is already steering much much more than those ten degrees. Are there other PS controllers where it's possible to adjust that steering angle?
I know I got a bit of TT topic but I mean I really love rally and enjoy it in Gran Turismo but last few turns after long left sweeper in latest TT are extremely difficult to keep car pointing where it should?
Thanks for all feedback you ninjas can provide.

I was wondering this a long time ago but couldn't find anything related to it.

It made me think about the old calibration of move controllers.

It would be great if it could be done.

But I have been wondering weather some kind of hybrid could be made from a DS4/5 with the old Move wheel...

The gyro and the triggers have a wider calibration to them (although the gyro thresholds come from the move controller that sits in the middle)

Not a bad time at all mate, for what is worth...I think the Yaris is also a bit weird on the steering on normal controller , feels like high up on the springs, and has a very quick wobble on the initial steering input, much more than previous cars so i can imagine that's even more sensitive on gyro maby?

But still a .357 is not a failed attempt if you ask me 🤣🤣

Here is an interim interim update on the Rallycross TT.

1731851137814.png

It is currently 2nd most difficult on my unofficial difficulty-o-meter, behind only Kaz's 2022 Christmas present to us, the tunable Honda NSX Type R '02 around Nürburgring Nordschleife. Below is the 'main table' (limited to 15 rows) ranked the key columns.

1731851365892.png

Note that the Deep Forest one had a gold threshold of 1.5% instead of 3%, so currently the Rallycross TT is toughest on that count.

1731851416540.png

1731851501759.png

1731851547946.png

Out to 17 rows as that is where this one is. This range tends to be larger the shorter a track is. The Daytona in the Chaparral VGT was a ridiculous outlier at 52.22%, but other short course gaps are typically 0.2% to 0.3%, around or over 10 times the proportion of this Rallycross TT.

EDIT: Please ignore the 21 Nov end date against this TT; I was using the Le Mans TT's 'shell' to do this analysis.

I was playing yesterday when the gold time dropped at Barcelona and my meager time fell out of 3 percent. I managed quickly to push it a little back into gold but I'm nervous as it's barely a tenth. This one is pretty wicked and I'm good in dirt! I bought a handbrake a few months ago when we got Eiger but I haven't connected it (just no extra time for these things lately) but I sure did yesterday. It helped.

Good luck to all. This one is nasty! Fun and brutal but that's par for the course for me lately. 😂🍻🍻

Fantastic time and well done. Where do you think you found most improvement?
Early handbrake at the first 'hairpin' turn instead of late to set the car up for a faster exit - and a sharper turn-in on the last corner to get the car pointed to the line faster.
You can proper hook the wheel all the way around like you're playing an actual rally game on the last corner, it feels unintuitive at first for Gran Turismo considering you'd never do it otherwise but the car sticks with it and pulls you around a lot quicker.
