Well..... my 30.192 was gold yesterday until my fellow Dutchie Damien joined in
What the h*ll, he is so fast, even if i hit a da*n good split at S1 and S2 ending in a very low .6 he just flies away on the straight...
I ran a gold lap again this morning S1 31.648 - S2 34.589 which makes a split 0f 1:00.62 and he is so far gone a can barely see him anymore at the end of the Hunaudieres straight :lol:

So there is a lot to gain on the first few corners for me....IF i can get the 787B to turn...
I got a little familiar with tracklimits, they aren't as bad as i expected, and indianapolis inside like Muffin says is the worst, but better to see on TV than laptop :lol:

But the last sector is a real mistery and the Mazda just isn't build for Virage Corvette, it just can't rotate here :grumpy::grumpy:

@half_sourly a 27 is def not in the cards for me, we had a few le Mans trials now i if i recall correctly i'm not realy the fastest here :):):lol:, i think i golded them but i think never high on the board, just not my track ..
28 high should be possible if i figure out S1,2,3,4,5,6, and 7 :lol:

Change to the Nissan, I started with the mazda, but I'm faster with the Nissan, turns infinite better, and if short shifting in certain turns, is as fast as the mazda.

I'm a little away from gold, 3.30%, this is gonna be very hard, I hope they didn't improve more.

Yes but how do you handle it in the Hunaudières?

I have the exact same issue as @D_Dragline with the Nissan:
Is anyone else getting ridiculous wheel shudder in the R92CP above about 250kmh? The damn thing is virtually undriveable on my TM T300RS.

I decided to try the R92CP for my first attempt. Not the cleanest of laps. Two track limit areas driving me nuts: going wide trying to get the car turned to the right in the 2nd chicane and the kink before Indianapolis. The understeer in the chicane is annoying. The track limit at Indianapolis is just senseless. Anyway, I'll give the 787 on my next run to get a comparison.

It's bizar that top 10, and I think a lot of people are going to struggle for gold here,
If you stuff up 1 turn it's done due to those huge straights, very curious where this ends 🤣, you had quite a good first run btw with a 28.8 mate!

Sorry, I didnt know about the wheel, I'm playing on DS4 (my dual sense is a pain, it has something similar to drift when turning right sometimes).
Yes, the stick drift is a well-known controller issue.

I've tried my Nissan and rented a Nissan in game and both have this weird behaviour. And apparently, I'm not the only one.
Glad if you can play smoothly with this fantastic car :)

Use the Nissan, you can use third for most of the corner exits and get a better traction, just watch Damians replay to get the idea.

Of course, implementing that on the track is a different story, I had one short session now with the Nissan, doing a 31.0 S1 and I'm following nicely for 70% of the lap but lose most of my time in the last part with the fast corners, either I turn in too late and lose all momentum or turn in too early and lose speed... Currently at 3:27.8, I guess low 27s are possible if I manage to put the last sector together.

How did you manage the wheel issue with the Nissan at high speed?
I simply cant drive it.

Yep, me too (TGT), the last physics update is the culprit. I had to put up with the shudder for the Interlagos TT in the Vulcan.

Can't imagine how painful it would be in this TT with how long the straights are, that is why I'm sitting this one out.

Weirdly, the 787B is fine and I’ve managed gold in that for now, but the R92CP is clearly superior. If I was an alien like you it would be infuriating knowing I can’t be competitive because of a ffb glitch.

I also cannot drive the Nissan. I have fairly mid-range FFB settings (DD Pro 8nm) and could turn it down more but then it's too light at lower speed. I could fiddle around with damping and friction perhaps, but the 787B is the simplest solution.

I have more or less the same setup as you and the Nissan is fine. Yes, it bumps a bit at high speed, but not much; I could hold the wheel with one hand if I wanted to. Is your FFB maybe just too high?
Thanks for this idea I didn't had, I'll have a look at this setting and let you know.

Played with the settings a little in my second stint after reading @Dan_Tes comments about steery cheat mode... Also turned up the FFB and there was such an immediate difference in feel. Thank you sir for your experience.

Also @crome I know you want to come back for more but you absolutely have to leave it even. 😂🍻🍻

Life continues to be incredibly busy for me and I miss my game time and my time in here probably equally.

Anyway, I hope everyone is well and happy lapping!

So it seems a lot of you advice the Nissan, i'll try a session this weekend with it,
thanks guys,
I had a quick go with the Nissan earlier and immediately went faster. Much less understeer vs the 787 in this TT.

Still need to find a chunk of time. Haven't spent any time trying 2nd/3rd gear exits and getting shift timings right generally.

Really enjoying this TT at Le Mans, it's not often I use these Group C cars at full power and Le Mans is the perfect playground for them.

Since I have had problems putting the power down with the Nissan using a pad, I've been switching to third gear to exit the Dunlop and Hunaudiere chicanes and Indianapolis and it it's much better, gained a full second for a best time of 3.28.2. I hope it's safe for gold now.

Found another 0.3 at Le Mans this morning which means I've moved back into the top 200! The spread on times is crazy. If I can nail my best lap I'll be high 27s but hopefully now I'll not feel the need to improve.

The FFB on the Nissan is crazy at 205mph. My wheel starts shaking like mad and my shoulders are pretty tender by the end of 2 or 3 laps. Who needs the gym, amiright?

I haven't tried the 787b yet. How does it compare? I won't get a chance to try it before next week.

It's just the beginning for Lemans but the leaderboard spread from @Barareklam is impressive. If 👽 are so spread humans will be scattered across the universe like interstellaer dust.

I gave it a try yesterday, first with Mazda, than with Nissan. By now I prefer the Nissan ,that 3rd gear allows for more rotation and less acceleration wheelspin. I haven't tryed yet the other 2 cars.

I knew in advance that Porsche curves would have been a major loss in time, but actually I found out that everything before Tertre Rouge is not second too...

Track limits are more or less are OK, but not at the fast right hander just before Indianapolis? Where are they here? I haven't yet understood!

@Pesselles: my G29 is definitly less powerful than your wheel, but Hunaudières are annoying for the force feedback. I can handle the wheel with one hand without issues, but if I do all the stand start vibrating. Definetly lower your FF and things will be much different.

Did some more laps at Sarthe last night and while I improved my bronze position some I'm still a ways off silver and frankly I find the cars really annoying with the FF wheel. Had to turn the effects down (and I was only at 6 for torque to begin with). And I've always found the track to be pretty unpleasant too. This will definitely be one where all I want is to get safely in silver and it'll be done.

I really don't get it. As far as I remember it's the only track (actually, piece of truck) where this issue rises and at a first degree it's not car dependant. Not even the crossrally tracks are like this. This stuff is very similar with what you get from AC2 under some specific parameters configuration, but in AC2 you always get it or never, depending on params.

I think there is something wrong with track metadata that PD should fix ( ...fix ... yes... sure...)

For all of you with wheel wobbling issues on the Nissan, set your FFB sensitivity to 1 (I run 5/1 currently), it drastically improves the experience, I usually go with 5/8 but it's undrivable that way, 1 is the way to go. Still a bit of a wobble at the top speed (>320kph) but nowhere near as bad as before.

Thanks a lot Vule, that's what I've set too and it's much much better (not stable as the 787 but much more drivable now).

First test in new TT in Le Mans :
3'31'777....
pfffffff.....I have no words.....
3:31 is a nice score for a first test and I'm sure you'll improve it quickly, mon ami !!

I have no words too, this TT drives me crazy...
Morning session today: +/- 400 kms, less than 10 valid laps... with a best at 3:30.9xx
