Hello everyone! Haven't been here for a while, run off my feet with work and travelling. I hope you're all doing OK! Have I missed anything important???

Some of you may have noticed that I've tried to "like" every post (as a little way of saying thanks for contributing). I may have missed a few but tried to get them all. I am afraid that will have to stop for now - my last post was 22 pages ago, which is about 660 posts - it will take all day!

Now I hope to be home for the weekend so time to get back behind the wheel!

It’s been a while since I was on the old account but I had to pop in to get all the new cars and stuff.

Jumped on the electric fantastic and again, it took a number of laps to remember how to drive this thing. Got to gold but could do better but it’s getting late. Might not bother though, as I’m really not a fan of RBR.

Hi folks,

just a quick update from me. I didn't really get to spend time in the game over the last week (just the usual work and family madness), which is why I haven't posted. I managed to hold on to gold at Le Mans, albeit by the slimmest of margins.

So first attempt at both current TTs yesterday, and the experiences have been very different :D

I suck at dirt and snow tracks. Always have, probably always will. I also don't really enjoy it ... which is of course in part caused by the suckage, but it also means it's unlikely I'll ever improve significantly. Given that and knowing the current stats on this insanely difficult TT (how is that medium / hard @Tidgney ? 🤣) I am actually pleasantly surprised that I am close to silver. I think I will push for that, but gold is not an option here for me unless a miracle happens.

RBR on the other hand has always been kind to me. Gold in the first lap, and it didn't take too long to arrive at a sub 1:22 time (again, you consider this "hard" @Tidgney? 🤣 ... jk I know this is all subjective). It's not the most exciting combination, and I agree with others that the weak brakes are weird, but once you adjust to that the car is easy to tame. Using TCS 2 here btw.

Still busy times for me, my low-frequency posting will probably extend for the next week, but anyway:

Happy lapping folks! :gtpflag:

I've not been doing these long enough to get tired of the seemingly excessive amount of RBR TTs, but while I'm not a fan of it I don't really mind it. The first corner is pot luck for me though, haven't got the knack for it.

6 days left on the rally one, 2.98% – I'm going to have to beat this, aren't I? 🥹
I'm sitting @ 0:46.562 and I clearly will have to go back to it for sure.

Meanwhile the TT with the EV Porsche is easy, finally an easy one for all !

Morning fellow addicts...

First real run in the Porsche at the RBR, first i must say, i find the design of the thing stunning, short nose, booty on point, and the interior is wel beeing though of, lots of light with that panoramic roof, must be a joy to see in VR??

The bullring itself has a special place in my hart, i like it compared to a lot of you
it has all aspects of cornering, cambered, uphill, downhill, the problem with this is that no car is 100% made for this track, there is always a flaw in one or more corners, if the car suffers from understeer...... yes, bad combo.

This eletric washingmachine, cause it sounds exactly like mine when in centrifugical modus compared to the sound of the reboot-van in Fortnite ( yes, 42 and sometimes team-up with my wife and 21 year old daughter :lol::lol:, i am alot better in racing though )

That said, afte a few laps this morning shredding all tires i did try TCS1.... something i almost never do, but the feeling of the rocketship stays kind of the same, didn't felt much besides wheelspin in the first place.
But that did help, altho my exit on the second hairpin was very bad in this lap with TCS i had descent run, but i think there was time left on a lot of corners.

To be honest, for me it's a "meehh" one, handling of the X is not realy what i expected, it's fast, but to fast for it's brakes and it suffers from power understeer way to much for my liking,

But the main thing keeping me from trying it again and again is the sound, i hate the sound thru my headphones, makes me frustrated, and i miss gearshifting!

So.... this will stick :lol: @1:21.555

it is beautuful though!!,

Hello there! Long time no see, huh?

Well, what can I say about the new TT? I was hoping to get an escort but instead I got a Mission X Wife. 😅

I hope that will hold for gold. I don't want to drive this car again.

Good to see you back my friend and not really amazed to see such impressive score from you!! BRAVO!! 💪 👏👏👏

That concept car isn't very pleasant to drive, due to the so ridiculous combo power/torque/brakes.
But apparently, you've succeed to tam this stubborn mistress. Well done!

I don't know if I'll have enough motivation to come back to improve my current score.
But who knows?

Bon Jour Monsieur @Pesselles 😀 good to see you too! 🇧🇷🇫🇷

The thing is, despite being an EV (something I don't like) I just couldn't skipp a 3rd TT in a row. 😅

I had a feeling the X Wife Porsche would be a very doable gold, so I gave it a try. For me this car was all about patience while braking and letting it roll in the middle sector.

But I'm not sure I want to drive it again. I just don't like EVs either in the game or in the real life.

It is stunning in VR.

And on the Pro I believe I’m getting ray traced reflections off the piano black shiny bits inside the car as well. I could see clouds and things reflected. It was very beautiful.

I know this isn't really the place to talk about it but as not everyone goes to this thread : https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/fanatec-gran-turismo-dd-pro.402448/
I'm sharing it with you here : https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/fanatec-gran-turismo-dd-pro.402448/post-14367551 Because I would also like to have the opinion of people who use these steering wheels. Some have already responded to me and I thank them very much for taking the time. So if you want to answer do it on this thread : https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/fanatec-gran-turismo-dd-pro.402448/

Thanks at all
Good drive and enjoy

Hi there! After re-watching Tidgney's guide I decided to come back to the Wuthering Heights Time Trial.

I managed a small improvement despite me overshooting T4. S1 and S2 were my optimal splits.

The lap:

Edit: I think a 22:1 is possible for me, a sub 22 would be an awesome result but I think it's out of my reach. 😐

The way this car puts it's power down is weird. It's as though the clutch is being drawn out too slowly. Perhaps it's a diff pre-load issue. Still, I've never driven an electric car with soo much character.

I think this time trial requires a skill that I don't have. What a laughable effort. I'm obviously not used to rolling around in the dirt.

Two tenth pickup and into the 21's.

Unrelated, but I bought a Veneno two nights ago. Not because I necessarily wanted it, but because I had a Lambo invitation that who knows when I'd get again and I was flush with cash. So what do I win on the wheel last night? Why, a Veneno naturally! :ouch: I'll get some cash back when I sell the dupe, but it's frustrating to say the least.
