Gran Turismo 7 Online Time Trial: We Have the VTECnology

Gran Turismo 7 Online Time Trial addicts will be pleased to see that two new events are available this week instead of the usual one, with a special additional combination to whet the appetite for the World Finals next month...

I'm surprised the car isn't purple!

Just out of curiosity checked green hell leaderboard...
P10 is whole six and a half seconds behind P1.
Good luck whoever is going for it.

Yeah I would agree with this assessment. Good luck to all, but this seems like an alien's kind of race. Just did a few laps and I'm sitting in the 2:32-33 range at the moment. I'll be lucky to crack silver on this one just like that stupid GR TT we just had in the dirt. And I fear we haven't yet seen the lowest these times at the Ring will go.

Spongebob Squarepants Internet GIF

(This came to mind as soon as I saw the name!)

Hopefully this one is a bit nicer than the GR Yaris rallycross trial.

Mate, if you have 2:32-33 on green hell go directly to Amsterdam and talk to Kaz to hand you over the trophy personally 🏆

As to this multiple account thing, does it matter a tin fart in a whirlwind where you place in either half_sourly's board here or GT7's leaderboards? Is anyone being paid for their placement on either? How does being in the top 100, 1,000, 10,000 on either board going to affect your practical life? Does it put food in you or your family's belly, a roof over your or their heads, clothes on your or their backs? If seeing multiple accounts above you on the leaderboard bothers you, just take their lower entries out of your mental list. Or, better yet, keep your own stats spreadsheets and do with them however you like.

You can look at this from multiple angles. But there is no real reason for someone to go out of their way, logging in to multiple accounts, just to see their own name multiple times on the same leaderboard. If you want to track your own performance VR vs non VR you can use pen and paper. Use the PS5 screen shot feature. I don't know. Figure it out. Is it really too much to ask to have one account per person? I guess it is.

What does top 100, 1000, 10000 matter? Nothing. You are right. Lets pull the plug from to servers so we can all do productive things like helping old ladies cross the street.

Look, it wasn't my intention to rain on @TheNormsk 's parade, I rooted for him and am genuinely happy he did so well. I am sorry it came across differently. Seriously, congrats! Also, when I said I don't see the appeal in having multiple accounts, it was literally what I meant: that I don't see the appeal, and I wasn't suggesting that everyone should see it the same way.

Having said that, what kind of an argument is that? None of the things you do in a video game matter in the grand scheme of things, does that mean people can't have an opinion on things and discuss them? Then what are you even doing here?

Hi guys (and Greek)

Back on track with the great S2000 (great car, thx PD). Maybe I'm the only one but Gran Valley make me think about Big Sur, the West Coast, and this (of course):

Speaking of my Honda, I've paint the body and the rims in Mineral Grau (the colour I've chose for my real car) and applied some Titans stickers created by @Lomic:

After less than 200 kms, I've entered the gold mine a first time (2:15.925) and improved it few minutes later:

S1: 42.885 - An miserable score, as my best S1 was around 42.0xx. Definitely 7 or 8 tenths to gain here. The downhill is a bit tricky but once you get the trick, it's fun, easy to go through, and you gain lots of tenths.

S2: 45.142 - If you let the Honda dances in the turns of the curvy part of the circuit, it's almost easy to be fast. But don't be too pushy, she doesn't like that. Be soft, and you'll be fast :)

S3: 47.577 - Not very fast here (probably a bit conservative) but enough to grab the gold.

I'll definitely be back because it's fun, and because I can shave many thenths... 🥰

Have fun and happy lapping folks!!

So I've been using VR at the start of the week, over did it (5 hours, wine and beer on the first night) but I seem to be as quick for my pace as I was.

I've had to leave VR alone for a day or 2 now as my head/eyes need a break.

So did this in bumper cam. This is a really fun combo for me in both VR or normal. That said I do think their are 2 track limits which seem slightly to aggressive but it affects us all so no big deal.

Have to say I'm chuffed with my initial time
