Not enough right ?

Thank you! Actually I love road cars just as much, I just tend to do a bit better in high downforce cars for whatever reason. Or let's say "tended to do" because I have a feeling that this narrative will come to an abrupt end at the Nürburgring 🤣

Grand Valley on the other hand was super productive yesterday. As I had hoped, I managed to gain almost half a second in S3. Applying your method of using 3rd gear throughout the last chicane worked wonders.

Very happy with this one! I dropped three places already since last night when I made the screenshot, so this very likely won't hold for top 100, but finding more time will be difficult for me. I lose one tenth compared to @Tidgney 's time in S1, and three tenths each in S2 and S3. So there are no big errors to fix anymore, it's all about the small details from here on I guess.

Maybe one of you guys can spot some untapped potential, would be much appreciated ;)

Happy lapping guys!

You are consistent these days. Faf boi!

That's enough of that one for me, I hate electric cars as it is but this thing is horrific.

Hit a safe gold then did a few more laps just to improve it more, optimal of 1:22.004 but not going to bother trying again, can't stand it.

Will probably give the Honda a go next weekend because that's right up my street 😁

The one featuring the S2000 @ Grand Valley sound like a blast, tbh. Now, as far as the X2019 @ Nurburgring goes, I'm definitely gonna be happy with silver, as I do not see gold for that combination being even remotely probable.

Well, I will 99.9% agree that I will be sitting out for the Nurburgring challenge, I don't think I'll perform well with the Competition X2019 car as well as I want to and that's the bottom line. It would take me ages to even score a silver time. However good luck to you mate. Stay strong and brave out there. You should be proud that you got a silver time, don't even worry about the gold, I know I'm not anymore.

Hi,

I would like to say a truly mahooosive "Thank you" to P-Courty here. He has shown me a way to connect to the internet through my mobile phone. I have managed to get on to the game and collect my - somewhat disappointing - Bronze medal from Catalunya. I will never know if I could have gotten any quicker there. I managed to complete the weekly challenges and collect the rewards from there.

Being very rural here, the mobile phone signal is poor to say the least. I managed to get it working but it is far from ideal.

The service provider is going to get a really unpleasant phone call tomorrow. This is unacceptable now!

Thank you P-Courty. Happy lapping to the rest of you. I can't wait to get back to it.

Very best regards to all here.

Ian.

The new sector optimum time from all replays is now 06:10.189.
The gold cutoff would be 06:21.294.

Any tips from controller players who have already golded this cursed TT? :D
Do you use TCS 0/1 or have any other tricks up your sleeve?
I feel this TT might break my gold streak.

I still need a valid lap in Nur 24h, but bronze will be luckily, silver if I try hard until the end of the TT, gold is impossible to my skill.

Finally a valid lap, more than 4 seconds off silver, and 12 from gold. I use a pad TCS2 and AT, cause with this car, gearing on manual is too much for me.

The only way I'm getting gold on this if PD change also the % for gold and silver 🤣

Well, finally!

I knew this was more than possible, I was on the verge so many times, sat down tonight and gave it ~30 laps for warmup, did nothing, couldn't get under 1:21.1, but the optimal time was 1:20.761, so it just had to be done. Restarted the session, rented a car for good luck, and literally in my first new lap I did this

I'm done, tomorrow I'll decide which TT will torture me next :D

New record means back to Nord.

2.99%, a whopping .023" in gold. That ain't gonna hold. But, back in for the time being anyway.

(Don't care about the alt accounts, knew it'd be an easy silver so why not.)

Impressive time there. I'm joining the ps5 club soon just so you know. Maybe I'll have better luck and skill too. Good bye ps4's. No more slow loading either.

Oh, well. I guess I'm on my own again then. Thanks for clarifying. That's the only positive thing, the quicker loading times. And I'll continue to watch the top 500 replays for a reference guide. It's worth one more shot.

Same here.

Existential and dumb question. Do you gentlemen think that not participating in a TT would also mean losing a gold streak?

Similarly. Would not starting a race you were supposed to participate, also mean you lost the race, as in, you placed second or worse?

Yes, because you gave up before you even tried (should you be physically available). :scared:

But you will always know if a gold streak broke if you kept track of the amount of TTs so far, assuming you have taken part in each since your first.

But personally my current gold streak isn't that long, for the simple reason I got a silver once because I thought I was completely safe for gold, missed it by a tenth or less. 🤣

So in my head, I know my gold streak could be longer right now had I bothered to spend 10 minutes more.

Little update: I managed to get a 6:18 but the lap was really bad, I mean so bad that I didn't even screenshot it to share because to me it didn't feel worthy to be shared nor was I satisfied. I made that same error like last time where it almost cost me a whole second but this time it looked to be around 0.6 lost just by that same silly mistake. But the good news is that I am getting better each session just by looking at my split times. If I can carry that same pace and not make the same mistake, my time would probably be a low 6:18 or maybe even break into the 6:17 zone. This combo is not very friendly for controller users but I'm going to keep pushing through!

100%. I am in the same boat with 72 consecutive golds. If I didn't participate in this, I would never considered my target 100 golds in a row legit.
Something like 1.2s away from gold currently. Should he doable.

Does not compute...

Anyway, I put in my last attempt at RBR since I will be gone for a few days later this week. I could have been in the low 1:21's, but just couldn't get through turn 1 no matter what strategy I used. Net gain from my previous best? An gargantuan .015 seconds! :banghead:

Also, it's super tight between some of us GTPlanteers. (@Soccmals, @linksracer, Tribal Chief (apologies I'm blanking on your GTP name), and me) Just .004 apart.

Way to go Dolph!! It's the RBR master. Improving is hard on this track so don't be too disappointed, at least you've got a safe gold for now. That's the good news. Wow, looking at the board, that is a tight margin of lap times!

A lot of wisdom here, thanks!

Either if I try and fail or if I don't try at all, I'm screwed. So might as well give it a shot.

Well, just also focus on doing the best you can from what skills you've learned and studied over the past several years. Good luck! I agree, a lot of posts I see here have some form of wisdom.
