Could you press pause down a straight and change settings, then carry on? Not great for flow, but a trade-off.
Thought about that and even tried, but it seems I'm not realy that good in interupting my lap like that and my focus or feeling seems less than before and becomes kind of a lottery 🤣
I think I can only study on T1 on default and just continue 😁

Thanks for the tip mr. Stats 😁🙏

After a few days away I was back at RBR with the Mission X last night. No improvement so I'm thinking I'm done and then I pull this out.

0.027 off my best with an sub 1:21 optimal (top 20 target). This course is killing me! I can't put together the perfect lap. I kill sectors 1 and 2 and then watch myself lose .5s in the last two turns, or get a poor turn 1 only to then nail the rest of the track.

It is like nature is telling me that I am a 1:21.225 driver and no matter what I do I shall not improve. Blah!

I'll be glad when this one is over but you know what, I'll be back tonight. I want to get into the 1:21.1s....

Not sure I have it in me to go back. I certainly do not have the reflexes of a 21y/o anymore. This whole lap felt like sensory overload and !!PPAANNIICC!!

Kudos to those who are able to gold. Ya'll alien. Consider my year-long gold streak finito. GG Polyphony.

Given what you are generally capable of, I would recommend sticking with it. I too am not a spring chicken and certainly the first few minutes going at 200mph around corner after corner is too much for me, but my eyes adjust after a while. I noticed you've done 63 miles; on Saturday my first completed lap came after 96 miles...

I'm only just in gold (for now), but have found TC0 and CSA Strong to work quite well to control the beast. I tried TC1 along with CSA for a while but couldn't really tell the difference.

:embarrassed:. Not safe. But it's a start. Thanks for the vote of confidence!

Edit: any idea what the suspected final gold time might be? What am I working towards here? This TT is a time investment.

Glad to see my time for the Mission X time trial is still sticking. It feels odd, though, that the car's handling reminds me a lot of a 4WD car, but it's classified in-game as having an RR drivetrain. I also had noticed that I had TCS on at 1 for my first set of attempts, so I though I'd try just turning it off - seems like that was the likely deciding factor that let me break into gold range. This is definitely a solid car for practicing one's skills in throttle control, even on the Racing Softs!

Hi,

Good grief! You folks have been busy in here!

Came home from work to find a delicious, delightful, blue light on my router - Yippppeeeeeee. We are back online after almost 2 whole weeks of being disconnected from the outside world. My wife is wonderful!!! I get to Time Trial while she walks dogs and makes dinner!

A very very quick blast in the Porsche and I think / hope this time will hold. Maybe another session later on.

Best regards to all here.

Ian.

I've been sitting at exactly 3.00% for a week now in the Mission X! That may have changed since this morning but it would sure be fun if it holds! lol...

Apologies in advance for the potatoe quality, I'm on PS4, couldn't figure out how to upload a clean screenshot.

Without a shadow of a doubt, this will not hold. Made 3 fatal mistakes in this run, 1 in each carrousel. Can't tell what's the deal with the carrousels and this car, I either overshoot them or go too slowly.

Use the Share button on your Dualshock, save the picture.

Download the PS App on your phone.

Then in your PS4 start a conversation (either with a real friend, a 2nd account or yours doesn't matter), send the picture you saved to this "friend" in this chat.

Open the PS app in your phone, check the conversation you started in your PS4. The screenshot you shared should be there.

Congratz on your gold time at the Green Hell. 😀

Well, fellas. I better start getting packed for my trip to the cold north known as Minnesota tomorrow. Some of you may know I've got spinal cord issues which have been severely limiting my walking abilities lately, so we'll see what the Mayo Clinic has on offer. That means no hotlapping for a few days, but I plan to hop on here to check out everyone's progress while I'm away. These alien times you guys are putting down are getting downright ridiculous. I definitely want to get back to the Nurburgring when I return and push for gold even though I'm not a fan of the X2019 and it'll likely be a fruitless effort.

(I promise the rest of my posts in this thread will be on-topic. If anyone is curious or wants to know more about my condition, feel free to PM me. I don't mind. :))
Hey man, hope all goes well! It’s always a good day when we see you pop up with a fast time so I’ll be waiting patiently for you to return to us in good health and good spirits soon

(And just a polite reminder that you’ve posted enough times recently to be considered an alien yourself so, don’t be convincing us you’re not…)

Anyways, back to trials and tribulations..! The S2000 at GV, I’ll avoid moaning about the slightly ridiculous weight transfer physics on this one or the tyre choice and just say that once you get the hang of its idiosyncrasies it’s a satisfying one indeed! Nowhere near the quite frankly astonishing times set by the top drivers here (I’m looking at you Jomar @Gomario JSP :odd:) but happy to be knocking on the door of the top 100.

I’ll also not mention the hideous HIDEOUS track limits here

HIDEOUS

94th at time of setting that time but my guess is 20% of times above me are GTP users of which most post in this thread :gtpflag::cheers:

How on earth is DoodleAM so far ahead of #2 in the S2000. 😵‍💫

I’ve really plateaued there, can’t even get close to my 15.2

You don't need to send the image inside a conversation. Every screen cap I make is automatically available inside the "Capture" page of the app.

Or it is different on PS4 ?
