Hi,
Still having brake and throttle problems in the settings. Sometime they stick and sometimes not. Off to buy some cables later and try again with the Fanalab software. There is something just not quite right here. Despite the problems....
Managed to get Lago Maggiore down to a, semi respectable, 2:05:3xx in the GR70. I think I have reached my peak here now. Despite knowing the track well and loving the car, it just will not go any quicker for me.
I am taking the wifey person to Malta for christmas and then onto Cyprus for a few weeks, so I won't be around in here for a month or so. My good lady wife has had a horrendous year with funerals and some health issues so this year NO cooking, washing, stressing for a few weeks. I can't wait for some winter sun!!!
I feel I have made some real progress this year. Thanks, mainly, to many many of you folks. Some new gear has helped but it's you people that have made the biggest difference to my improving times. Thank you. All of you! A new personal best and several top 1,000 spots in the TT's.
If you celebrate christmas, I hope you all have a happy and peaceful holiday. If you don't, then I hope the holidays bring you joy and many fond memories. Happy new year to all of you and I will be racing again at the end of January 2025.

EDIT:
A new cable resolved the sticky brake / throttle issue. Now down to a more than respectable 2:05:1xx at Lago Maggiore.

Trying to get in the TT action closer to the beginning of the cycle! Took one short stint at Goodwood when I came home last night.
Man, you guys on my leaderboard are flying! Nice job. This time is not a bad start, but there's plenty of time to be gained if I can just figure out that final chicane!

Thanks.In the meantime ran a quick stint with the Huracan before heading out this morning. Solid start also, but I think there's at least 0.5-1.0 seconds I can find here before this one expires.
I enjoy this combo a lot. The Huracan handles nicely. Might also try with some other cars.

I couldn't improve my time of 1'25'290 but I came close with a time of 1'25'392.
Second impression: pffffff....😪😪
I had a first sector of 26'7xx and a good second sector too (I didn't remember it, you will understand why 🤣🤣) when my wife comes into the living room

Goodwood is a fun little track that very much reminds me of Sandown: simple on paper, but rather complex in reality with a lot of bumps and odd cambers. It's soo much better than a sanitised F1 track.

God I'm beginning to realy hate that chicane at Goodwood.... I'm still getting better in S1 and S2, thats the good news l, ran my first 1:02.6 but there is a 3th sector 🙈
And the more often I take the chicane the worse I'm getting at it...
Did go from 1:24.839 to a whopping 1:24.830.... whoop whoop
At least I got my blue Megane on the board instead of the yellow 🤣🤣

Another few hundredths gained yesterday 💪
I am now in the territory where it's not totally ruled out it might actually be enough for top 100, but to be safe I really should aim for a high 1:24.6. I'll be offline from Saturday for a week so I won't have a chance to react if I got kicked out.
@Gomario JSP I feel your frustration. I don't want to be cruel, but just to rub it under your nose a bit more just how much is possible to gain in the chicane 🤣 ... see my new PB lap. This was only a 1:02.923 S2 split, but still enough to go well below 1:24.8. I guess the chicane is simply easier to pull off on a wheel. That being said, I never came close to such a fast S3 again.

have you tried with flowers, chocolate box, you know, a date, a foreplayI started out trying to get some love from it/her...... clearly doesn't work that way

it's like this, she's fine for some time.....like lets say 1 minute+ and i truelly think this is it, we are hitting it off.....and then out of the blue she executes you and the love is gone... flowers are not going to work cause i mowed all of them of track...have you tried with flowers, chocolate box, you know, a date, a foreplay

Didn't have any more time to run the TT yesterday. I'll probably focus on the Gr.4 for the next couple of days and try to figure out the Goodwood chicane later in the week

Third session at Goodwood and it started to come together. Another nice relaxing TT (ok apart from the hell chicane) 🔥

Aaand it's now silver. It's so frustrating when this happens. I just don't have the time to chase the top players and the goalposts moving so much honestly makes me want to stop playing sometimes.
And I'm not even attempting the Goodwood time trial because the circuit is a hateful place

I hope I can improve my time in the silver range, I'm a good ways there. 2'12.822 in the Huracan. However I may have to try another car in the Group 4 class. I love the loading speed of the ps5, I can get more HD and resolution on the picture, it's more crystal clear and I can be more aware of my surroundings when I'm running laps.
@Moglet The only thing that brings me bad memories at Goodwood is the last chicane, the lap killer. You have to take it slow going through that, otherwise you'll hit the wall and then the lap gets invalidated. Which is not good.

This new TT at Goodwood is kinda puzzling me.
Yesterday I've made it into Gold territory, but barely (...by a whopping 0.15 seconds haha) and strangely enough, I happen to have just a little over 7000 players ahead of me on the scoreboards, which is definitely a lot less than what I was expecting, especially for me because I'm not used to be this far below the 10,000 mark...
So I'm just wondering: where's everybody?! 🤔
I mean, it's not like this TT is exceptionally hard, which is not... it only took me like 20 mns maybe half hour to get the Gold medal, so I guess there's just not a whole lot of people participating for some reason.
PS: I'm VERY happy that PD has finally thrown a TT with a FF car at us, I always enjoy these events and I think we should get them a lot more often!

I had a lot of fun with the EG, and the Gold medal wasn't all that hard to get.
It's nice to drive something different than RWD every once in a while

Today I found out that the gold at LM was down to 1:07.336 and my best lap is 1:07.379 😑
So I went back and did another 10 laps stint at LM, invalidated a 1:07.147 by driving 1 pixel too much to the right in the esses (the right one with red paint)
Opimal 2:06.831...
I can do it, but it is frustrating.

Always run well at goodwood so currently 40th after maybe 70 miles. I might come back to this one and push for a sub 1:24.5... nah can't see me getting chance 🤣
