Strange, that did the trick for me, with HDR it was always washed out, only solution was to transfer to PC, edit in some video editing program and then upload, ain't nobody got time for that. I upload directly from PS5 to YT and then just edit the thumbnail and small details and off I go. And in that case, no HDR was always the better option, all videos looked normal, like I see it on the TV.

Recording issues could be a wide variety of things. But recording gameplay with the share button will inheritenly be compressed because otherwise you'd use all your space on the playstation so so fast so the quality is automatically reduced. If you then put it into video software and then you compress it there again that's a double compression essentially (Or at least that's my understanding) and then you'll lose more quality. Youtube then adds its compression and the end result is even more quality lost.

I record directly to a capture card at 50,000 bit rate (I used to do 100,000 but it's not a 1:1 correlation for quality and finding what works best is difficult). My raw files are massive (A 6 hour stream is normally between 150 - 200gb)). My compression in video editing is very high as well (I don't have it to hand) and that gives the best chance to Youtube with their compression.

I can only imagine the HDR option is an issue because of the data stored so turning it off reduces the size of the file (Potentially) so then the compression isn't as much impacted.

Sorry it's slightly off topic but thought I'd answer the video issue.

Just did that (turn off HDR, launch replay, record it and shared it) and it is the same :
With HDR :

Without HDR :

Turned off HDR from PS5 settings.

And video copied on USB key and opened on PC is ok.

And of course display on TV is worse without HDR.

Happy that it is not the cause, would be annoying to have to turn off HDR each time.

Can it be that you have in settings changed "exposure" or what is the real name when you can boost lightness if you are sitting in very bright room and screen is dark so you boost exposure ? that is somehow recoreded in replays too.

I did not change anything. Only HDR is active, and it does not seem to change the result.

And the video is fine on the computer if I save it to USB key. The veil shows up after it has been uploaded to Youtube, same way as it shows up when shared directly from PS5. 🤔

I've seen the same thing on my videos, so far the best solution I found was here, but it still does not look as good as on a PS5.

Perhaps the cow is too white?

Seriously though, there's nothing too wrong with this lap. Overall you seem to be very kind to the car, be more aggressive and the tenths will fall away. Put your foot down earlier and harder and let the 4WD get the cow rotating.

Assume you are using auto gears? Manual would gain plenty of time too, for example turn two is best in 1st.
