The Red Bull Jr is such a nicer drive than its...dad? Big brother? Anyway, just like Goodwood, the final chicane at Catalunya is a major pain. And similarly, it ruins two laps. Then you've got the track limits everywhere else. Fun fact: I had 13 straight invalidated laps before my best tonight. What fun! :lol: My optimal was two tenths faster, but I can't string together every sector on the same lap to save my life.

Typical PD Production meeting
PD: Anybody got any new ideas for this weeks time trial?
<silence>
PD: We making anything on microtransactions yet?
<silence>
PD: Anybody pay us more than the fizzy drink people for shoving their name down users throats?
<silence>
PD: that's sorted then.

Reference for 2024:

select evt_id,track_name , car from events where evt_id>=60 and ( track_name like '%Bull%' or car like '%X201%') order by evt_id;

72 | Red Bull Ring | Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR GSR 06
89 | Red Bull Ring Short Track | BMW M3 Sport Evolution 89
90 | Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta | GT Red Bull X2019
97 | Red Bull Ring | Gr.3
107 | Grand Valley HWy 1 | GT Red Bull X2019
116 | Red Bull Ring | Porsche Mission X 23
118 | Nürburgring 24h | GT Red Bull X2019
121 | Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya GP | GT Red Bull X2014 Junior
Surely that isn't all the events Red Bull related. Didn't we have Spa in the wet with the Junior, too? Or am I misremembering?

Mornings folks,

Ofcourse i did a session on Catalunya on the TV as i mentioned yesterday, was a lot better.
Two major problems on this combo though...( for me )

Transition from T7 to T8 is a mistery for me and kind of a lotery on hitting it the right way, most of the time while pushing i'll tankslap to Barry and when it does there is nothing you can do about it,

And ofcourse due to the lack of downforce on the slower parts of the track the chicane is quite difficult to nail.

The good thing about the junior is that it makes a lot of noise but lacks the speed so the brakes are good :lol: :lol:

Multiple times two tenths up after T13 but jumped the first sausage or let the car die in T15..

New test today in Catalunya :
whether it's the eldest Red Bull or the junior, they are really 2 exciting cars... very strong ground support, super fast gear changes, and above all brakes that work and what's more, a pfffff engine noise ...
For this second session and the first of the day, I was able to improve my time to 1'46'290.

Your memory is fine. That list was a 2024 reference (Time Trial Event >=60). There were 6 Red Bull events in the first 59 time trials(4,13,24,34,37,45).

I must admit my heart sank a little when I saw the combo of the X2014 Jnr and Catalunya but I really enjoyed the few laps I tried with it. I don't think I'll be able to get gold on this one though.

Well, you are at right place that makes people faster, so if you want help, you know what to do :)
The Klam is right. I went from never golding a TT a year and a half ago to being able to gold nearly every single since. Even had a few top 100 finishes. I still feel like an imposter, but the numbers don't lie. This place is a snake pit of some of the legit fastest drivers in this game, and the best part is they are here not only for the bragging rights but to help others as well. It's a pretty unique place and one of the best on the Internet.

That said, I appreciate all of you who contribute here. This little weird place is a pretty amazing.

Cheers all, and as always, happy lapping 🖖

Well I just bought my own Megane 2011 car and did a colorful livery on it, like Pesselles said, it is scientifically proven that how you design you livery puts an impact on your driving and final laps. Well good luck my friends with the RB Junior challenge. I don't think many people will have difficulty trying to control this machine.

I meant because I'll be away for Christmas so won't have much time to try! But this place has definitely helped me get a few golds before, even when I didn't think I could.

Just couldn't get this one to click for some reason. 126 miles and no gold in a pretty easy car on a track I know quite well. I would have expected a very quick gold but man this thing just felt like it had no grip. Is the reason I thought it was nice in the wet because it has no grip in the dry so who cares about some water? I just couldn't figure out how I was losing gobs of time to the ghost, particularly on the high speed corners. My tires were getting overheated so easily too, I could feel a lot of grip lost from corner to corner if I got small amounts of wheel spin.

This was the best I could manage until I noticed one funny little detail in the HUD, on my tires:

Oh I still had the tires on from the last time we took this out for a TT... Was quite relieved to see this and realize I didn't just forget to drive.

Got this shortly after:

Haha brilliant. Had this a few times in online races... whys everyone passing me?? Oh crap. 😂

Hi guys,

back from a two day business trip, and on Saturday I‘ll be leaving with the family for the Christmas holidays, so I had to be smart about how I spend my limited GT7 budget. I opted for another session in the Megane in pursuit of that elusive top 100 (it would be my second), and it seems that this was a good call 🤩

IMG_0017.jpeg

I picked up not even 6 hundredths compared to my previous PB, but they were worth 23 positions on the leader board. Pretty crazy actually. If this doesn‘t hold until the end, then it wasn‘t meant to be, but I‘m fairly optimistic now.

Oh and after that was done I also shortly visited Catalunya. I agree with everybody else here that the Junior is just so much more pleasant to drive than its big brother. Managed a safe gold for now (low 1:26), will have to wait until next week to see how far I can take it.

CU around, and happy lapping of course!

I need to jump in again with a little bit of offtopic, sorry guys :D

The new GT3 Endurance wheel arrived, so I decided to try and create some sort of an unboxing video for the first time, if you're interested you can check it out :)

@330_D I know you are waiting for details and impressions, all I have to say is - buy it! Quality is on a whole different level compared to ClubSport line, buttons, shifters, everything. The rim itself is amazing, 318mm, just as it should be, this material is grippy as hell, bare hands or gloves, no matter, it's literally perfect, I can't wait to have a proper session with it :cheers:

Vule, thanks for your unboxing and installation video, very nice.
Question, have you tried printing a decal sheet for your endurance wheel? I wonder how easy it is to print. Thanks!
