thank you very much my friend. If this can help me actually I won't spend the 300€ for the Elites V2. I will immediately look at all this on the sites in question.

You alien infidels!!! So lucky this combo is more to my liking compared to Goodwood lol. Love the Honda and love the track Tsukuba, my proving grounds!

Well hopefully I will nail the gold tomorrow but for today its a start!

Hey, I like your font. How did you do that? Anyways, would you mind adding me to your friends list? I'm trying to compare times and look at certain replays which I think will help guide me. I'm gonna go work on more of the Barcelona TT with the Junior. I bought one this morning, I picked the blue one as it's my favorite color, so wish me luck tonight. I've got to give it my all.

Sure dude, more than welcome to msg me your ID if you wish, so I can add you. :D

@BWX I know this isn't really the place but I wanted to get your thoughts on the CSL Elite V2 crankset. I bought the CSL Load Cell brake a few weeks ago and I'm not really happy with it, especially because the stroke is too short and the adjustments are very, very limited. So I wanted to know if it's worth paying €300 to upgrade to the Elite V2. Thank you for your help
Hell yes. I had the same pedal set as you before and they are a massive step up in feel and solidity and adjustment. I cannot complain about anything really! I probably won't upgrade until Fanatec comes out with an affordable active brake pedal honestly. The feel on the brake pedal is amazing really. And overal for the price they're great. Very quick and easy to make adjustments to elastomer stack and spring too. It takes about 5 minutes.

There's nothing really special about this lap except it's my first TT (and first time really using) my new McLaren GT3 V2 wheel. It's also my first non-round wheel.

So I recorded myself with a gopro and happy accident- same angle as the replay I recorded, I didn't plan that at all.
It actually worked pretty well inserting the wheel into my recorded gold lap. 😆

Of course my first gold lap is another 2.53% (at the time). That happens a lot. 🤷‍♂️
I had a 1:46.2xx lap in the session before when I was experimenting with button mapping but I must have gone off slightly in the lap somewhere so that didn't count.

I'll do another session or two, can probably get into the 1:45.xxx range pretty easily.

Following Tidgney ghost in the PSVR2 view.

Really liking this "budget" wheel so far. No rattles on buttons or creaks or anything, feels super solid.
Great wheel for the price and I can see why most people like it so much. It feels great, especially in an open seater.

Thanks for fixing double post mod. Whenever I try, I destroy the posts somehow with the vbcode quotes, etc.

Merry Christmas everyone! Merry Christmas @Jeje6410

Hai Hello GIF

And Merry Christmas @Chris30, I’d say to you mate have a think about a New Year’s resolution related to GT7 and how you can get the most out of it in 2025. If you enjoy doing huge amount of laps in these time trials without much improvement then keep it up; I just sense that you don’t. There are plenty of people here who enjoy TT’s no matter what their level; you can be that person and at the same time enjoy GT7 in whatever other way you want to. Not everyone is @Metalgear9493 or pantsniffer5000… and that’s okay! Going round in circles can be fun literally but metaphorically it gives us all a headache over time and that’s not good.

So figure out what you’ve enjoyed most over the last year in GT7 and then focus more on doing that

Happy Car GIF

Anyways

Back to time trials, sadly no time for the Megane for me and nothing yet for the NSX. I’ve got a personal goal for that delicious Red Bull Junior thing and I’m trying to hit it. Bit scruffy tonight but target is in sight, I really do love throwing this thing around it’s everything I like in a car. How can it be so much better than it’s big brothers!??

TBC..

After three days of failing to improve my time at Goodwood (either the chicane or double rights before it that would kill me every lap), I'm happy to see that one end. :boggled:

What I wasn't expecting was to set this time at Tsukuba. Normally I'm pretty average around here. And for most of the session, I couldn't run anything better than a mid 1:02.8. Then this lap came out of nowhere. And knowing me, I probably won't top it despite it only being my first attempt. I would apologize for nipping @Gomario JSP by .004, but I'm sure you'll grab something like 2-3 tenths tomorrow.

Thank you Dan for the pep talk and encouragement, everyone needs to just enjoy the TT's and not worry about rankings. What matters is that you enjoy the TT whether you're a professional at the selected track or not. I'll get there someday, I know it, :)

Lol, see Dolph is glad that Goodwood is over too. And hopefully there won't be another TT there for a long time, but who knows? PD is random.

Lol, that would have been my reaction. ABS is crucial otherwise the car will spin out when you brake while taking a corner or turn. I'm watching some new guy's channel on Youtube for extra key points and things to look out for at Barcelona. The channel is Sammysnake Racing. What a name.

Who put wooden tyres on this car ?
Wooden tyres? SH is perfect for this car and the handling is very natural.

Anything softer would be unrealistic.

From a bit of experimenting, my conclusion is that SH in GT7 is the closest thing to stock tyres on most modern performance cars. SM is close to something like a Cup 2R or P Zero Trofeo R, while SS is basically a semi slick.

Hi,

@Jeje6410….

I have a set of these at home. Used once. PM me an address and you can have them for free. It will take a couple of weeks though as I am on holiday until late January.

@330_D….

You and me need to have a serious conversation pal!!! 😳😁

@skydragon49…

You can lead a horse to water……

Watching all these shenanigans from a hotel room 2,500 miles from my house is both entertaining and frustrating at the same time!

Peace to you all.

Best regards to all here.

Ian.

The only difference in this situation is that none of you guys have used the face buttons for 23 years, my first racing game was gt3 on the ps2 which I bought June 2001. And then NFS, Midnight Club and Dirt the next couple years after that. It's gonna take time for me to adjust but it has to be done, so time to watch some Youtube guides on the subject.

@Barareklam I think he has a channel where he explains the analog levers and other methods for MT and other concepts.
You're telling me that you don't use the analog stick for steering? No wonder you're struggling.

NSX x Tsukuba, what a combo 😍😍
oh no.....I got the gold with the Mégane at Goodwood, that was much more fun....

on one of my 3 accounts, I'm 3/10 gold but I don't know if I'm going to continue....

these 3 hairpins are killing me and I hate going to bed with knots in my arms.......
if I want to scratch my nose, my brain gives the order to the right hand and it's the left that does the job......😂😂😂🤣

Thanks a lot for your feedback my friend but but I think I'll test first with the springs that @Vule and @Ian JB recommended. And if it really still doesn't suit me, I'll turn to the V2. Thanks again my friend

Good to see that i'm not the only one who hates hairpins. 😂

I never enjoyed driving Tsukuba, it's just pure pain to get 3 hairpins right and than pray to get the right line through the final turn. 🥴

IMG_20241227_111452.jpg

My goal is to stay within 0,5s of the winner, this should be possible with my poor hairpin skills. 😂

@Ed_Night it is indeed a bit of a struggle those hairpins, but im having the most problems with the exit of the last one before the backstraight, I have a (for me though) reasonable tail on Metal in that sector until there, he just shoots off onto the backstraight, I am loosing so much there.

I love the way the NSX handles though, but it's so hard to nail everything 🤣
Did find some time this morning, so the Braaaaaappp!! VTEC family livery has done it's job 🙈🤣🤣

@Vule jeezzz you are fast AGAIN.... 🙏

@Dolph Drago sorry not sorry buddy 🤣
I'm sure you will find some time again.... some people often have miracle laps.... (not mentioning any names ) 🤣🤣🤣
