Hey folks! Back home thank goodness and feeling rubbish this morning meant everything including some cockpit time got put on hold, think I might have inherited @Gomario JSP ’s illness 🤧

First attempt at Brands Hatch, I didn’t know what to expect with the Testarossa; an older car on sports hard tyres could be a recipe for an unruly nightmare but it’s actually nicely balanced and controlled unlike that ugly Focus RS trial that brought out all of the worst of GT7 physics. There is the occasional unrealistic out of control spin but on the whole it’s nicely balanced goodness all round!

All assists off an ABS normal. Are people who are setting really fast times at Daytona in the Viper using CSA or not? Feels like one of those trials that it could really help.

I’ve uploaded my usual lap to YouTube and a VR version below it if anyone is interested 😁

I was fighting with Focus on RA until end and didn't made it to get gold.
And I was so close, already on 11th I set my PB, that unfortunately stayed that until the end.

I like the new TT with Testarossa at Brands Hatch, still no lap at Daytona bcs I hate when they have zero imagination and put whole class to choice.

All I'm using is CSA weak. Nothing else. I also have always thought that for road cars it makes them slide more like a real car. Not that stupid snap oversteer like this game feeds us.
I hadn't thought of it this way before but that's actually a really good way to look at it 👍🏻

It's official... Aliens do get catch illnesses...

All humans left among this group, jump into this TT now, we may stand a tiny chance 🤣

(jokes aside, @Dan_Tes @Gomario JSP hope you both get better soon... preferably after the TT though 😉)

uh guys we're going to have to calm down a little anyway !!!!! What are the times you've been giving us for several weeks !!!!

Should me plenty more time to gain here cause it was a very sloppy lap

@Dan_Tes good to hear you still can get sick buddy, that means deep inside there is still a connection 😂😘

So after a bit of a TT hiatus, I came back last night to run a bunch of laps at both events.

At first I went to Daytona, hopped into the Viper* and put in a bunch of laps, trying to get my braking points right and re-familiarising myself with this circuit. Abandoned a bunch of laps where I got a bit greedy into the braking zones (mainly around the first right-hand hairpin) or stupidly clipped the barrier trying to get up speed before the line, exited back to the home screen to see I was sitting in bronze, placed approx. 93,000th! Aaaaand, somehow I'd actually hopped into the old AMG GT, not the Viper! Didn't even spot the difference (they're both silver and similar proportions) and no idea how I managed to not spot it when I switched - quickly - through the views on one of my laps. Even saw "Sauber Engineering" on the rear bumper and didn't twig!

Anyway, I then re-ran the event with the actual Viper. I only put in one lap (two abandoned attempts with similar symptoms to those described above) and it was a safe silver at 1.48.4XX. That'll do for the moment, but I will be back to make some improvements on that. Daytona is not my favourite, by a long shot, so it'll be a massive struggle to get gold.

Over to Brands Hatch - one of my favourite circuits - and I decided to use my green high-mileage Testarossa and leave the super low-mileage Nero Daytona and Rosso Corsa cars in the garage. Being limited on time I only ran a handful of laps, but ended up with a fairly safe silver (can't remember the time, but I was ranked in the 5,000's so it'll be fine for the moment.

I didn't set a really fast time, but I can answer, like in most cases, it numbs the car a bit, it's harder to turn sharp, but it adds stability for sure. Mind you, the track is so bumpy and the Viper has so much torque, especially for RHs, CSA doesn't help as much, you will still spin. It's frustrating, and also inconsistent, sometimes I floor it and it just sticks and goes, but in most cases it just spins the rears and you lose the lap. Luckily there is the Testarossa TT so I can forget about Daytona
