Bathurst is like an enemy to some, I guess it's a good track, but you have to watch out for the later half where the downhill parts are and Sector 5. The sharp left turn before the finish line can destroy a player's lap. And watch out for this turn...

This would have been it. This would have been it, maybe if the pit crew didn’t inflate the tyres so much I would have just grazed the curb on the exit of the bus stop

But no I had to invalidate my perfect lap at the final moment

You have the upper hand @Vule

But im not done

In the immortal words of someone far more articulate than me…

ATTACKÉ!!!!

Blisters on your fingers? Are you a controller user Holl?
Thrustmaster TGT user. But just comprehend how long it takes to accumulate 150 miles around Brands Hatch in a road car, with there being only one big straight, which I would only reach every 5th restart🤣.

No matter how comfortable your wheel is, your hands can only hold on for so long before the friction takes its toll. I don't wear 🧤 because I lose feeling in the feedback.

Every 5th restart seems very good to me. 👍

After 5 restarts i normaly have 1 decent first corner... 😂
And the lefthander at S2... well i would say 19 out of 20 times it's restartable. 🤣🤣🤣

New stint at Daytona, after last night training focused on bus-stop.

Worst stint since a week.

Tiny improvement in S2 and that's it.

Not only I did my fair share of 48s I even did a 49

Last lap managed a 46.9 as my best lap 😩

Optimal barely in gold.

Not sure why the sectors on the CE are different (3 instead of 5)

130 laps in, and +100km training on bus-stop, frustration...

Oil was normal so I changed it after the stint, hopefully it'll give me a second for my next stint 🤣

Car has 718km, only for this TT (and in CE we use a provided car)

Jesus Christ

I didn’t want to revisit this one but the battle is on

I need some alcohol, @Gomario JSP give me a wine recommendation!

Oh and @A_Higher_Place and @ikon_313 yes nailed it an R53 Cooper S. it’s actually for the wife @newmedia_dev 😂

(aaand back on topic)

I did a few laps at BH but they errr frustrating laps. I even repainted my Testarossa in a lurid colour after seeing how fast @A_Higher_Place was with such a distasteful colour scheme hoping that would make me a few tenths quicker

It didn’t 😂

I suspect CSA strong will speed me up a bit but honestly I’m enjoying the challenge all assists off and ABS weak!

Off topic.... about the wine ...
Faustino Grand Reserva hands down, can't go wrong with that!

On topic,

Well done mr. Car Collector, epic times on the board..... but that colour on the Testa.....shame on you 🤣🤣🤣

With a friend, I had the opportunity to test this car (exactly the same configuration) when it was released.

What a toy!

We brought it back to the dealer with an average consumption of 30.0 l/100 kms 😁

Your wife will really enjoy this kart... and I think you’ll want to steal it often.😋

Sectors 1 & 4 😈

Despite I had absolutely no drive to TT I was woken up by my cat sitting on my head.....5 am, thanks buddy 🙈🤣

So I thought why not.... had two .850 comming up the bank splits but both invalidated on the chicane, but eventually did stick a low .9xx and had a descent chicane, this was definitely my last efford for this one, glad this one goes.....but the new one isn't all that better..... but ofcourse this was inevitable... ill pass 🙈🤣

Not optimal but happy with it..

But there were a few times I kind of had trouble with the Viper.....gearbox?...when downshifting, seems to lock up or something and throttle totally gets eliminated during downshift?..... not entirely clear on the video beneath but you can hear/see it last corner of the video... , was a descent split but felt like braking without beeing in gear or something

PB lap was with a bad S1 but chicane was more than descent in the end

After this it's back to BH cause I ain't toutching that F3500 🤣

Love that livery. Is that something you made? I always find the Viper a really difficult car to create a dynamic livery for, due to the proportions of the car.

Back on topic, I've had a break from this one but will be back to attack it tonight and see if I can climb up the leaderboard a bit. I'm currently way way way down the list!

Lovely lap, Mr J! Very nice and tidy. Downshifts seem fine, I would try and delay downshifts if you can; the WR ghost seems to use them for deceleration but with ABS weak I think downshifting early increases breaking distance.

Main thing is shifting up, I think you might be holding onto gears too long. I’ve been short shifting somewhere just over 6500rpm works best; your split going into the final sector is good and your bus stop looks tidy so it must be the shifting that’s costing you a bit of time.

You can definitely improve in the first sector too, earlier on the throttle in 3rd but only part throttle coming out of the first left hander can help as the tank slapper you get out of that corner loses you a bit of time!

I noticed after going back to my hideously painted Testarossa (sorry again 😁) that precise throttle control is what I was missing here and that’s mainly down to getting a bit lazy with the throttle thanks to CSA Strong. Whoopsie

Also if you use 1st on the right and then the left at least just as you turn in it can give you a bit more rotation before double shifting to third to power out of the corners..

(If you’re not revisiting Daytona before the end ignore all this and enjoy your day)

Thanks for the advice buddy!, now I have to consider going back tomorrow morning and try some shortshifting and downshifting a little later.... 🤣
I intent to immediately downshift on my breakingpoints....like....always 🙈

But first......fishy fishing time! 🤣

"But there were a few times I kind of had trouble with the Viper.....gearbox?...when downshifting"

Isn't this some kind've of throttle lag? I get this a lot when braking hard but do not downshift in sync with the decreacing revs. It's a good method for knocking off speed, but the downside is the the response when trying to excelerate post braking/downshifting...there is a lag.

Sorry if this has been responded to with more clarity. I also havent watch the video. I should be working :yuck:

I'm fastest with the most FFB I can handle and sometimes in a long session I get arm pump. Never blisters, though. 😂🍻🍻

Yes probably an input problem from beeing to slow from my side absolutely, never had this problem before tho, maby it's car depending...or I am getting worse 🤣🤣

Now go to work 🤣🤣

New stint at Daytona during lunch break, much better than this morning.

2 laps in the 46s, worst lap 1:47.510 😊, 1 lap gold, but not improvement in best lap. Best medium so far with 1:47.171

No improvement in any sector.

Invalidated at bus-stop at lap 9...

Delta between best/worst sector :
  • S1 : 0.685s
  • S2 : 0.405s
  • S3 : 0.145s
  • S4 : 0.470s
  • S5 : 0.288s

Can I get one more week ? 😁
