I'm confused, is Bathurst on the menu to replace Daytona?

We suspect there will be a TT at Bathurst because of the 12hrs race happening there in the following days.

Usually PD sets the TT in a track that is hosting an event in real life at that period. Just like we had the Daytona TT as the 24hrs race took place there last weekend.

But so far, no confirmation on anything.

No no, it was just me guessing. Sometimes when there is event in real life, they give us TT on same track. So I thought it's race at Bathurst and we might get it too, but it looks like Monza with F3500 will show up tomorrow as TT.
Apologize for confusing you.

Man that ioniq at Bathurst would have been a killer combo.. but no.... 🤣
Are you going to give it a shot, or is it semi not doable with motionsteering?

The final stint at Daytona and my trusty Corvette bogged down in the mid-1:26's so I begrudgingly returned to the Viper and within a few laps nailed a 1:46.061 and then went on to mess up a sector or two repeatedly so I'll leave it there with the memory of an optimal 1:35.700

Well done to all those who excelled in this one, I've enjoyed it but did have enough time to really make an impact although I did grow to like Daytona which is good.

On to the Fezza at BH

May not even bother with that one if there is a confirmation on the event. Those F3500-A cars will probably be wild to control. We'll see. And you know for the very first chicane, you have to brake extra early so you're not cutting the curbs. I did 10 more laps at Daytona this afternoon and made no more improvements, but had an unlucky one on Lap 10. Got a lap of 1'49.986, when my PB was already a 1'49.916, so I officially give up. @half_sourly might rank this TT in the medium difficulty as it was challenging at times, even in the Viper. I only tried three cars: the Corvette, Porsche and Viper.

Love that livery. Is that something you made? I always find the Viper a really difficult car to create a dynamic livery for, due to the proportions of the car.

Back on topic, I've had a break from this one but will be back to attack it tonight and see if I can climb up the leaderboard a bit. I'm currently way way way down the list!
So I WAS going to have another go tonight, then work got in the way. So a poorly ranked silver it is...

Last but not least stint, but still, I am disappointed with my results. 150 laps in + 100km of training specifically on the bus-stop with CE sector 3, and barely able to reach gold in a few stints among the 15 I've done on this TT (10 laps each).

And at least last lap into gold again. By a thin margin.

With a total of 855km (a bit more with some restarts here and there), it is the TT where I drove the most to try to get a good lap time.

Did 835km at Lago Maggiore with Gr.4, 658km with Gr.4 at Autopolis, but most of the time I do between 40 and 150km on each TT.

Tomorrow I'll try F1 at Monza, and I'll have to make a choice between the new one and the Testarossa at BH

Well work and family always comes first before working on random TT's in gt7. You did great. I'm focusing on helping my mom around the house while she rests. So I have cut back some on the amount of time I spend on doing these lap challenges.

Hi folks

Did I just spend my evening sitting in front of my PlayStation refreshing the scoreboard for Daytona? Maybe 👀

So far so good…

I’ve also been heckling @Vule through PlayStation messaging in the hope that’d put him off 😁

The sad fact is even if he does beat me (and I hope you do mate good luck) we will still probably be behind the mighty @ERAZER on the GTP leaderboard! Doh!

I actually spent my evening in the dispicable mintyrossa. I both love and hate it at the same time; there’s real precision, balance and poise in this car and then it spoils it all with those silly GT7 sports hard tyre physics and what I like to call ‘auto spin’. Once auto spin has been enabled the game is over and all that delicious balance of steering, weight transfer and throttle is wasted :(

Managed to improve slightly but still behind forum neo-powerhouse @A_Higher_Place … I overcooked it into Sheene’s which probably cost me a tenth or more but really I’m just happy to get past Surtees intact 😆

Surprisingly, I did improve at Daytona before the TT ended. Even so, the lap could've been better. I was consistently starting to put down 28.6's in sector 1 (and one random .555), but not on my fast lap. I also got that stupid, snappy oversteer trying to correct my slight slide entering the oval at the end of sector 2. To top it off, I got EXTREMELY loose coming out of the bus stop, no doubt costing me time. It was the only way I could get through there, though. Otherwise I'd understeer into the grass roughly 9 times out of 10.

As for the next TT, I'm torn whether I want to attempt it or not. IMO, the early 90's produced the most beautiful F1 cars ever. And it's probably going to be fun to drive. But lord only knows what kind of times the top drivers are going to put down...

Was going to post my very small improvement, but you beat me to it. All the way at the bottom of your friend's leaderboard in this post. 😂🍻🍻🔥🔥🔥

I've got a little more time in me if I can get it together. Maybe a top 100 if the stars align. 🤞

You're not quite at the bottom of his friend's leaderboard. Look who's cut off at the very, very bottom...

 Actually your initial "Go to bed" message just woke me up nicely, I was not feeling it at all, but it gave me a nice motivational boost :D

And sorry to say that I managed to beat your amazing .090 lap, not by much, but enough

Yeah, thanks for the nice words, and I agree, @ERAZER is untouchable when he wants it, he beat me in the Focus TT, and also here again :D

My lap:

I had by far my best S3 split but chickened out in the death chicane, just took it too careful and lost couple of hundreds, maybe even a tenth, who knows, but I just didn't want to ruin another good lap and I wanted to go to sleep at 4AM

It's been an amazing battle @Dan_Tes , I hope we have many more in the future

Was about to chuck it in with the testarossa, kept binning it, but had a decent improvement last 2 laps to a 40.1 and optimal 39.4.

I can't fathom how you guys are getting so much rotation, don't tell me to brake earlier, I am, I just cannot get the thing to turn to save my life. I see most of you are spamming the MT, maybe that's the solution.

Gave Daytona a go for a second stint last night before it ended. Hopped in the Viper. My optimals were 4/10ths faster, but for the life of me I could not make it through that darn chicane so I called it quits.

Alot of you have laid down some epic times here. Congrats @All (too many to mention).

@Dan_Tes what a shame I didn't notice the short shifting more early....
And what a shame I thought downtime would be 8am ..... I had only a very short window because that turned out to be 7 AM 🤣🙈
I think I ran 5 laps in the .7xx after each other and downtime kicked in so no further progression....🙈🙈

There you go, Daytona, it’s over.

Congratulations to all and thanks to the fastest drivers.

It was very interesting to follow you in this final battle at hundredths of a second.

You deserve your alien badges, rockets and gold cups.

I don’t know if it’s usual, but I was surprised by the movements at the top of the ranking until the last moment. (or more simply, I’m usually too far away to realize it 😁).

I have gone back 50 places in 2 days.

In my last attempts, I tried to stay in touch with @Dolph Drago.

Bravo, man !

My opti. have improved but once again, my sectors did not want a single lap rendez-vous.

Like @NAXEHT , I invented some new and rare swear words.

Potentially 44.472 if only...

Well, I do not know the expression in English but in French we say "with some yes, we can put Paris in bottle" or "if my aunt had one, it would be my uncle".

I find that this kind of challenge makes me better understand the skills of IRL drivers (be faster than these opponents, perform accurate and regular laps at the request of the team...)

Have a good day.
