Ugh what a horrible horrible combo this new TT is! This one is going to separate the men from the old men. My poor reactions need a much slower car to work with.

Early thoughts are that I might have to settle for silver this time. Good luck with it guys
idem for me.....7 or 8 laps to see, I'm already at full speed and 3 seconds from the silver medal...☹️🤔🤔

it's too fast for my 75 years....😂😂

I got gold at Daytona but I may have to settle for bronze at Monza......and I hate the first 2 chicanes....just like the one at Spa...😡😡

well, I'll still try for silver......if I get a bit closer, otherwise....:cheers::gtpflag:

Well I wasn't planning to try the new one but I couldnt just not to......so.....

the verdict....

New TT - PAD - Thursday Remote day- nope.....not happening .....

9/10 invalidated laps.... long time ago I didn't gold something on Thursday on the laptop....25.7 🤣🤣

Let see tomorrow if the TV is the key here 🤣
And maby ill watch Tidge first this time 🤣

I'm reluctant to try Monza. So back to Brands Hatch I went tonight. I don't know if it is the physics update (or maybe the questionable paintjob, albeit slightly less garish than what @Dan_Tes used ), but it took me all of 10 laps to better my previous fastest time by a tenth and a half. I was much more consistent in sector 4 especially. Had I bothered to run any more laps, I'm sure I would have improved more.

Well, isn't that car something? I am not finding the thing twitchy or unstable, no desire for csa for example, but yeah she's a bugger to get on the throttle with. There's no real sign either, if you're 1 degree too much steering angle boom, you're off, no slide or subtlety....just off.

The tough part is actually the kerbs, there's no give in thr suspension so she just kicks and bucks and you bleed a ton of time in the first two chicane if you get the sausage kerbs wrong.

I managed a 27.2 , I feel like I could find a second but not two, silver again as with Daytona I suspect but it's a much more enjoyable experience so won't mind giving it lash for 2 weeks.

I tell ya what, trying to drive a group 3 car after this f1 car was brutal, took 10 minutes to recalibrate my brain.

Morning folks....

To my fellow PAD- users.... may you rest in peace mates...

What an absolute nightmare this one on the pad.... took me an hour this morning to even gold it,
This..... is clearly not my thing, but i knew that already before i started yesterday.

ABS weak felt a little better than normal and CSA off felt better then on...
Tried TCS at 0 but that's just nuts, and if you even think of curb when running 0..... you're gone ...Barry R...hi... it's meee, i'm the problem it's meeee 😂🤣

Eventually i did ran two .2xx laps in a row, with a poor S1 though.
Let's hope this is enough 🤣

ABS - Weak
TCS - 3
CSA - Off
PAD sensitivity 0 ( normally 10 )

Ok, that's it... I'm out lol.
Did 10 laps yesterday, thought I was doing good... I was WRONG.
Lucky to be in silver. And if even the aliens say it's hard 🙄

Back to Brands and the Testa :banghead:

Honestly, on gyro, Testarossa is soooo tricky to hold steady it's just crazy 😧 one of the most unstable TTs for me...
Soo... update.. physics or maybe controller IDK since they never mentioned any update on Gyro, did had just enough time to test one thing, that is Testarossa TT on BH.. oh boy what a difference.. last week before update, 10 laps, 8-9 invalidated.. yesterday after they update, 10 laps, all ten valid and pretty good... even slight improvement of pb plus some tenth still in me...

thanks PD, for me, an update in right direction

That's good news mate!
Happy to hear that!,

I'm curious if I can notice some difference too at BH, should be able to do some laps this weekend 😁

PAD sensitivity 0
😳 That's crazy. Could you give some more explanation for this please.

I remember back in the day on GT5 in the Vettel X Challenge in the original insane Red Bull with ground effect it was basically impossible to get it through the chicanes without dialing pad sensitivity all the way up to 10 because otherwise the change of direction would happen too slowly. Of course the downside is that the car becomes twitchy.

Is that the reason why you put it all the way to 0?

For me i'm almost always at 10 accept for the high downforced cars like the VGT trial we had some time ago at Suzuka.
I like the way of having more and faster control over the stick, but the downside of this the twitchyness on the faster cars, the roadcars are absolutely fine with the higher settings ( and i'm fairly descent with slidy roadcars )
But if i'll set it at 10 at this trial i'm already heaving trouble setting up the car before the corner because looking at the stick makes it go already.
So lining up for T1 is doable at 10 but i have a lot of trouble on the Lesmo's and especially lining up for Variante Ascari because it's not entirely straight..... and the minimal input there makes you go grass or to far in immidiately ...

So for me it's a tiny bit easier setting it low on this combo 😁

Holy moly, after 70 Km i'm a second away from gold! I thought it's just my poore driving (it's definitly not the car, it's mad but brilliant!), but seeing more of you guys struggle gives me a little hope!

Chapeau to those in the TOP100!
That means you've found your magic touch with this special Formula car. Yeah, anyone that gets a 1'23.XXX or 1'24.XXX time is totally insane and crazily skilled. My driving tends to be worse than yours. Good luck on going for the gold. For beginners, it is best to turn on the line assists so you can get an idea of where to brake and what direction you should be going and timing the throttle too. It all takes time, patience and skill but anyone can do it as long as they put the work in and effort.
