It was a joy before the updateThe Testarossa simply isn't built for this sort of driving.
Morning folks,
While everybody is trying to tame the F3500-A, wich I already gave up on after the safe gold , I had one last go on Brands.... just to see if I could figure out what the heck they did to it and if see if I could benefit from it, just after thr update dropped I already had a go and went from 37.118 to a 37.0 something so there was progression but so hard to actually have good solid laps..
This morning it took me ages to get a descent S1 ...midsection went ok-ish but the real bugger was the sand/gras on the very last turn..... throttle wobble or grabbing sand...
Finally had a more descent lap, but S1 was kind of bad, and again Hawthorn was FAR from ideal...but with a better last sector I finally broke into the 36's and should be enough for an extra top 100 🤪🥳

Very much done with this 2 weeks now....
I've posted this in the Physics thread (don't ask, more than happy to move on from those discussions and that thread!) and also in the dailies thread I posted the same video.
My driving style is quite direct and I force a fraction bit of turning in to get a moment of understeer to get the grip back at a slightly tighter angle and better exit angle. Does any of you aliens have some DD Pro settings I could try to avoid this horrific shaft shake?
(It's bad all the way through but really harsh at .37s, it's only a min long)
This is sector 1 at Nurbs GP in Gr3 (650s)
I did quite a few laps post update now and I think the biggest difference lies in braking, before you could just more slam the brakes and trailbrake your way in, that seems far more difficult, releasing brake and rotate at the same time doesn't work that effective on the pad but.....it does rotate better when braking harder for a while ( and earlier ) and fully let of the brakes and coast for a moment.so, your thought on update now after many laps ? Controller? Physics ? you did improved, which many claim is impossible, so what is your opinion today?
Change the elastomers with springs you will have a wider travel !I am starting to hit a wall in my transition to a wheel, I have the F3500 at 3.5% at both Monza and Barcelona but cannot coax more time from it. As I improve from 7,6,5,4% to more competitive times, other than moving to MT (I use MT at Monza) I think where I am struggling is braking consistency and feel. I have the Fanatec load cell and TBH the lack of travel is starting to bother me, it is very stiff even with the elastomer in place and I cannot intuitively feel where I am at in terms of brake force very well. More practice needed!
It's been discussed quite a bit in this thread, so feel free to revisit these older discussions, but in essence it takes out some of the nervousness in steering, especially for wheel users. If you're worried about performance loss, don't be: it's been proven again and again that you can easily get into top 100 territory with CSA strong.CSA is the big mystery setting to me. I always run with weak which is VERY unobtrusive. When set to strong it goes crazy, constantly flickering. So when it is flickering is it sapping power or is it just preventing you from rotation? Monza is all about exits, rotation is not a huge issue.
It's all exits, getting on the gas like 1 tenth earlier on all three chicanes is worth like 2 seconds a lap, it's insane.Rotation isn't the problem here, it's staying on the track and confidence
Hello friends and friendesses! I said I shouldn’t really try this one again, but I tried it again. Spurred on by @A_Higher_Place ’s revelation that my strange placebo routine is actually making him faster, I was determined to better my PB before I tootle off to work later tonight not to be seen until both current trials are done..
Needless to say a lack of wine was probably a big help. I find the chicane at Roggia a right sob as track limits are JUST awkward enough to make it really difficult to get round quickly. Braking slightly earlier than normal seemed to help as just like most of Monza it’s corner exit where it all really matters. I also brought my braking point into Ascari forward a bit and focused on entering more smoothly and overall at a higher speed. Both seemed to do the trick!

A couple of laps earlier I had set a 28.235 (clean!) S1 so I know there’s another tenth of a second or so here but that time is more than satisfying for me…! ABS weak, TC0, CSA off, retry free zone
