@SPL170db nice livery ;)

Yesterday I managed to break into the 1:36s, and today I could shave off another 7 hundreths, so here's where I am at:

So that's good. More than just good, great actually! But why oh why does this game always have to be so cruel? See yesterday's time was done with a quite weak S2 split of 1:03.806, by virtue of an absolutely blistering S3 (33.168). So of course today I was positively and consistently obliterating my sectors 1 and 2 from yesterday, but in exchange completely forgot how to take the final chicane. Together they would put me in the top 50. 😲

Guess I'm not done here yet ...

Happy lapping!

Why de Bruin, why??? 😭

On sunday i finaly made it into gold with the F3500. It was very close (1:25.344), but with 3 days to go i hoped no one of the aliens cares for this TT anymore. But, you know what happend ...

I did about 100 Km yesterday, but no chance of improving! So it's a disapointing silver this time.
Today i'll spent some time in Spa for the ManuCup tomorrow ...

I went back to Monza for my second session with the F3500.

Man, I love this car, but I’m not very quick with it. It took me 500 km, but I finally managed to get into gold after many invalidated laps, which was frustrating. It teased me for so long, but I didn’t give up. So it’s way past my bedtime.🤦‍♂️

My optimal is a 1:24.7. But hopefully I won’t have to go back. 👽 go away.

Nice optimals buddy!,

This one is..... yeah... "battery Lottery" ...
I ran some laps this morning again but it's so frustrating that the thing dies again and again ...lap after lap...
It's like when the car is tilted a bit due to taking the curb it sometimes disconnects the battery or something....., this has cost me a LOT of very promising laps....., and it always is around A: the first slower chicane or the corner from the video below...
and it's come to a point that i'm thinking to give up on this one, makes me mad 😂

another example

But between some EV dips i ALMOST had a good lap 😂😂 ..... so your" chicane shennanigans"...... i can relate....😂
This was a very promising lap...... altho... would have been 😂😂

I hear you pal. I returned to Monza this morning and I seem to have hit a wall at 25.8. I'm gonna need to pull a miracle lap out of my derriere if I'm to achieve gold.

PS I hate this car

I love the car lol. I am just not carrying enough mid corner speed in the first two chicanes. This then affects the exits because the slower you are mid-corner, the easier it is to get wheelspin.

I had a wicked time with that until I realized it takes half the normal steering input to get it turned in. I was pushing right through to understeer. Try the less is more approach. With all your input, honestly.

Good luck!
If you use full lock, the steering will "stick" in that position. So, if you use high sensitivity, the steering gets to full lock faster and takes an age to wind off, making chicanes impossible. That leaves you trying to find the balance between having a fast enough steering response to make the corner without horrible understeer vs hitting full lock and getting that horrible delay in the lock coming off. There have been several challenges where I think pausing to change the steering sensitivity part way around the lap may have been worth a try.

I just cannot get gold in the F3500, I feel good in the car but cannot beat a 25.6. Frustrating.

I was stuck around 25.5 for a bit and then a couple things clicked.
  1. TCS2, which I believe you are already doing.
  2. ABS Weak
  3. Into first chicane, brake, down to 2nd, as you turn into turn 2, shift up to 3rd and accelerate out in 3rd. Don't rev line it, instead shift up around 80%. I think in the lower gears if you rev line it, you are getting wheel slip with TCS cutting in which loses time. You can rev line in 5th or 6th but before that in lower gears I shift up earlier.
  4. Second chicane, take this in 3rd all the way and keep throttle at about 50% all the way through it.
  5. I'm still not great at Ascari but I found braking and shifting down to 4th and as I turn into it, shift up to 5th and then floor it all the way around the curve in 5th gained time.
  6. Lastly, at the parabolica, I did a more square edged turn braking to 4th and then turning and accelerating out in 4th. Perhaps not the quickest but it worked for me.
Also PSVR2 helped. I would not be able to do it without that. Flat screen users mileage my vary.

I think it massively does just less sensory overload and sense of speed for me at least.

With parabolica I take the racing line but short shift early and run out wide rather than squaring it off, but I've only done a dozen or so laps so have zero idea on what is actually faster there! 🤣 3rd for all the chicanes (exc Ascari) is proper solid advice and if you get Lesmo 2 right there is a load of time there as well.

Hi folks,

Maybe my last session in Monza, an optimal at .23.889 but a final at 24.553 😐

This F3500 really does not forgive anything... an approximation, and it is 6 to 7 tenths that fly.

This car puts me back in my place without any scruples !

I may have to settle for that and hope the ranking doesn’t move too much.

And I wouldn’t blame that on the fall of the PSN.
