Do you 'grind' certain races (actually play the game)?
It'd be "actually playing the game" if there was not only 3 events that can get you credits at a rate around 1.5M Cr./hour.

If you need/want credits as fast as possible (which is slow already), you grind the same old 3 events. You can try to add some fun by changing the car but other than that...

So yes, no rentals, if the economy was different, why not. In its current state, I can see how it would be an issue.

I agree that driving the same race over and over is not much fun. But I don't think the in-game economy is that bad. The most expensive cars are 20 million, which is not an obscene amount considering we earn 2 million every TT. Most circuit experiences earn 1 million, etcetera.

The 'problem' (which is a luxury problem) is that there is a lot of content in this game. But lets not forget that it is not an obligation to collect every obscure car in the game. If there were no rental cars and you wanted to participate in every TT it would just mean you would have to trade cars more.

Having said that I wish this game had an auction house like Forza Motorsport had. You could actually earn credits that way making liveries. On GT7 you can only earn 'likes', which have no purpose.

New test today in Fuji and improve my time at 1'49'710

Not all of us earn 2M every week from TTs! lol. In fact, statistically speaking only about 10% of us (meaning the general participants in the TTs every week) do. And, it's only 2M per week, so 10 weeks for you to buy that 20M car with TT money if you're good enough for gold every week (and it's important to remember that a lot of players - who paid for the game just like everyone else - aren't). As far as the CEs go, sure...and once you're done with 100% of the single player content in the game you're still left with something over 400 million credits needed to get the remaining cars...or 200 weeks worth of gold TTs.

The fact that it's not an obligation to collect every car is the "get out of jail free card" for the devs wrt the economy. When you start making it a necessity to own certain cars in order to participate in events things change a bit. They realize that...which is why rentals exist. You can trade cars of course, but that's not a very efficient way to go. You're losing money every time and in the long run just exacerbating the economy issue.

For sure. There should be a market place where you can sell un-wanted engines and parts too.

***all this has been hashed out many times in other threads. Sorry for the OT sidetrack....

Happy weekend everyone! Had a quick go at Alsace this morning but not really feeling that event anymore, although it would be nice to drop into the 53's... Moved to the new event - stay off the racing line at Fuji?? No problem Sir, I don't think I've ever been on it!

Wet tires, ABS default, and ended up here after the first 100 miles in the car (~28 laps). Quite surprised at the lap time, but only 2 hundredths off my optimal splits so this might be all there is, which is curious as I drifted a little out of the last turn and seemed to bleed off over a tenth to the finishing line. Regardless, lap time is not too shabby at all for the first run, and I'll come back later for another session -

Yowza! Managed to crack the gold barrier and get to 2.89% but I knew that wouldn't stand so I kept going hoping for at least another tenth or 2 in my favor but after a bunch more laps I was almost ready to call it when this happened...

Man, what a thrill to round the last right-hander nearly half a second up on my best time and with a blue and improving delta! Dropped 7 tenths in one chunk!

Morning folks,

The usual sunday morning before making the family breakfast on sunday altho one if my cats miaawed/yelled me awake at fraoimg 6 AM cause apparently he wanted to play fetsh with his shrimp toy ...
So went out early in the scooby and I must say it felt pretty good this morning and got a little more familiar with it's power delivery.
Still time to gain, invalidated a .253 by going to wide on the last exit but had a blast of a sector 3, which is clearly my nemesis on this trial so that was promising 🤣

All not to Shabbbyyyyy with a 1.48.382 and back in the top 100 for now which....I wasn't expecting at all for a GR4 event.

T2 what a blast if you nail it, less happy with the bollard though 🤣

Getting to know exactly where you can cut is extremely necessary here, the righthander where the chicane was can be a real time gainer if you can hit throttle right at the apex

Have a great weekend all,

Goal 47.8, reality 48.020. Very frustrating session at Suzuka, but I worked out that weak ABS is the ideal braking setup.
Is there any particular thing I need to enable to use alternative tracks in Time Trials? I'd really like to use Tsukuba instead of Fuji or Suzuka.
:D Seriously, great time. I never make mistakes. :D

Regards,
Ken

Just make sure you find yourself at the right track next time and I'm sure you'll top 10 this 😃
I wasn't too far off, at least I named a Japanese track:lol:

Ran a further 100 miles as I couldn't sleep on a 48.0xx and here are the results

I used a particular trick with the TGT steering wheel to adjust the rotation from 900 to 540 degrees. This helped plant the throttle down and have the car grip.

I watched the replay of the lap and my steering inputs look like I'm on acid:lol:

Mad how you guys are golding stuff like this, unfortunately I keep just scraping into silver and 24hrs later keep having to go back and fight for that extra 750k 😁🤣
