Very proud right now as I drove 300 miles today, punched my wheel twice, cursed a bunch. But I got it!!

Yeah, not to belabour the point but like I said I agree with the premise...I just think if all you did was remove the rentals and leave everything else the same it would absolutely crater the participation numbers in many of the events. You'd need to adjust the economy a bit as well.

(I think a lot of people would argue that grinding certain races repeatedly isn't "actually playing the game." For me, actually playing the game is doing laps in the TTs. Running Sardegna 25 times in a row to try and buy the car I need to take part in the TT is grinding. It's not such a huge issue when there isn't really anything specific in the game other than just collecting the cars that forces you to grind. Once there IS something in the game that forces it, then it becomes more of an issue.)
It's an issue for having more fun with more cars to drive. If there was less boring grinding time.

Back to Sardegna and the Z4 was proving a bit of a pain, having been away a few days I was 3 tenths back into Silver and just seemed to really struggle wrestling the plucky little Beemer around a clean and relatively fast lap, corner entry was eluding me and I would understeer off here and there until finally, I hooked up a decent lap and narrowly missed out on the 39's. I'll probably have to go back which is ok although this TT is one of those that I need 5-6 laps on just to get in the groove each time.

I usually try to put in a time in the low-2% before I can be comfortable that I've secured Gold. Was able to do that with the Z4 at Sardegna last night. I've noticed that it usually takes me the 2nd day of trying a TT to secure Gold, so I think I'm gonna start using the remaining days to try and get between 1.5% and 2% as my new ongoing TT goals.

Before I do my runs today again, decided to do some IRL driving for a bit.

Made me wish that at some point, PD would bring back the 5th-gen Prelude for a TT too. I'd be so stoked. 😁

I had half an hour before dinner so I had a quick session at Fuji on my old account running non VR. Looked at a leader replay and discovered they were using full wets. That hadn’t dawned on me as being an option as I used a rental last time that was configured with IM as standard. :banghead:

While being rusty with flat screen, my braking is improving and I think it’s easier with W than IM.

This is faster than my VR account so now I need to try there again.

I still don’t like Fuji. 🤣

@Dan_Tes well that's some progression right there buddy!, what a lap! congrats!! hauuling with them big boys! 🙏 🙏 😁 😁

@Metalgear9493 congrats!, epic lap! very smooth, pretty maxed out last corner if you ask me!

So after congratulate everybody...... i ran some miles .... failed 😂😂
i tried Metal's approach back to using more 2nd on entry and last corner 3th out...
But it wasn't my day, felt like a different car and got nowhere 😂.
Last few laps changed to 3th in en 4 out on last corner again, got closer to my time with a fastest of 38.195 and a few .2xx but no new PB.

Well off to work, tomorrow another day 😁

Hey man.

I use a DDpro and I poached my settings from a user on GTP named @PirovacBoy . Generally depending on the car I use I have the in game sensitivity around 4 and the FFB at 8 or 9. I prefer it about as strong as it can be... But with higher downforce cars I'll turn the FFB down a little so it doesn't hurt my old shoulders and elbows. The recent update feels amazing with the DDPro for me. Haven't read much about what other people think but judging by the recent trial I think the update was great for our wheel.
When FFB is up higher and sensitivity lower the effects feel a little more sudden but also more firm and easy to gauge what is going on, for me. It feels a little less blurred, I guess.

The feeling in a wheel is pretty subjective though and the best way to know is to just mess with the settings a little with a very familiar car at a track you enjoy.

I did a little testing, I must say that I don't see any difference between -2 or +10 of Controller Steering Sensitivity, perhaps the tgt of @Metalgear9493 reacted differently than the GT DD pro on this point.

In any case the fact modified the degree of steering to 720° and very useful for this Z4, it is much more controllable the car reacts more quickly.

Previously the degrees of the steering wheel i always left them on automatic in the steering wheel parameters knowing that GT7 adapts according to the car used. Perhaps it will be necessary to modify them according to the car in the future.

Doesn't GT7 override steering angle always?

Yes that's exactly it GT7 does it automatically but maybe it but 1080° for the Z4 automatically and if you use 720° the car reacts better.

But it remains a question of personal feeling, i think that we must take into consideration the TT Combo.

Excuse my English I don't speak it

Helau! Thanks to carnival no work for me today and a serious attempt at Fuji as every single Titan was in front of me...

This is my answer and I am very happy with the result:

Despite the session yesterday I don't get along at Sardegna and there still everyone is in front... Maybe I will return there, too. 😈

Happy lapping everyone!

I like to change between Groups choosing different Sensitivity Settings on my DD pro.
Generally I use dependent on individual car/track:
Gocart 360-450 degree
Gr 1. 450-600
Gr 2/3 720-900
Road Cars: 880-1080

I must test 720deg for Z4 as I was de-golded again.

The only issue with using 720 degree mode is you have to constantly select said mode after every restart!

In-game recording of my lap!

What a magnificent lap congratulations!

For the degrees with the Fanatec no need to do it each time, once selected it remains !

Do you really feel a difference in the Controller Steering Sensitivity ?

Noticed I was back into silver for the 2nd time this morning so threw the big bum Bavarian bomb back around for a few more laps and back into Gold. I do like this one but there seems a randomness to how this car handles from lap to lap, particularly in terms of weight transfer, either that or I'm not nuanced enough with steering and braking.
