Yes, the Z4 is a fun drive.

First session was respectable…

Little morning blast,

And a tiny improvement from a .189 😂 😂

ran two laps after each other with...😂 what are the odds, consistent though 😂😂

But the worst thing was a invalidated grass licking last corner lap...

Anyways, we had progression but still out of top 100, god this one is hard for me 😂😂😂😂

I am really struggling with that combo. Barely managed to go below 40's while I was expecting to be at hi 38 or low 39 once I understand the toughest curves thanks to given hints here.

Z4 is fun when roaming and sliding around random track, but when you want it to slide predictably in your favor it shows a finger.
You want a spin it undesteers, you want to settle the weight it goes Sumo with you. Wish it was just heavy but mellow like Ioniq.

Still no clue how you guys keep a 50-60mph speed in T8/9 90degree right-hander.
I go play in sandbox when try to mimic that.
Any additional tips very appreciated.
Maybe I throw a vid of mine afterhours.

Brake early and be off the brake entirely before you turn in. You can feather the throttle to settle the car into the corner but lift over the bump at the exit and floor it as soon as you are over it. That corner is a menace. The next left needs way less brake than you think as well.

Hi guys, I did have another stab at Fuji yesterday. Slight improvement in time but was still 8th… I’d be gutted if I finish outside the top 10 so if anyone could keep me updated from now until the end of the trial that’d be appreciated

Your telling me there is no internet in the mothership up there to keep track? , bunch of un-evolved.... 😂 😂
Will do ofcourse sir, we will keep you posted, would be well deserved a top 10! ( we still are on the same friends level cause you were already a few planets ahead of me ..

Save flights buddy

Ok, so this means less or zero trail break, where I thought my TrB was not good/strong enough. Give it a try today.
Big thanks for that detail help!!!

I'm inconsistent there but when it works for me that's what seems to work best. I do trail in but I am very conscious about getting my foot off the pedal there and it really makes a difference for me. We all drive differently though and what works for one doesn't always translate so you might need to adjust a little to suit your style.

Absolutly understand your point.
It is indeed always with difficult turns that way. You either find the mojo/rythm and car starts to dance like you want it or you straggle with it like drunken uncle trying to dance walz at techno party.
It is very individual which combo of inputs serves each driver - but it is super nice to hear some different approaches to test.

The Z4 is quite enjoyable when you get it right, judging the grip can be tricky as she can sorta bite, feel a bit understeery then bite again like Miata IRL. Managed to get my time down to a 1.39.7 and hoping that holds.... not sure if it will.
Mate I feel the biggest factor is not about understanding the grip but getting the apexes right, especially the long uphill left hander at the end of sector 1 & the long sweeping uphill left hander before the final chicane in sector 3.

I don't 'get' the BMW. I feel like I'm driving it well but the time just isn't there... I'm 150 miles in right now, in gold, but what feels like a world away from being competitive. I'll work it out, but frustrating nonetheless.

EDIT: I should add that this is ABS default, and w/o CSA or TCS

I feel exactly the same, I try to be more aggressive in the corners as the top times seem to do this but when I do it, I'm running wide or in the sand. I'm paying the price for initially trying to be too smooth I think and now can't find my groove between smooth and aggressive.

Today played this wonderful TT after yesterday's failure to improve. Today when I started I couldn't believe how close I was getting to just match my best...just 5 tenths & 2 tenths which was a sign of good things to come...

After some more laps of persistence, I was able to better my personal best(PB) by a good margin. I was thrilled & shocked as I made up upto 5 tenths....Got a best time of 1:39:238! When I had a PB of 1:39:743, my ranking was 7000th+ & with my new ranking I was about 1600th+ which is such a big jump. Loving this TT.

Now since you got new wheel, you need to change your signature 😁
So what have you achieved your time with this time?
I still haven't even tried out the new wheel yet 😅

So time was set on motion steering as normal, I was really struggling getting the car to turn, even off the racing line any ghost I followed seem to have a much better steering angle than what I could get, so I gave up pretty quickly on this one.

Will probably give the BMW a go on the wheel at the weekend 😁
