I just find it way more fun than frustrating. Very enjoyable.
While my first reactions to the tire squealing nonsense I first found on driving the car were shock and awfulness, I must say that as you figure it out I am coming round to liking this combo.

I tend to do better on short technical stages where I can have a high degree of repetition. Gives me plenty of do-over tries.

I'm in the club after a couple small adjustments to my method. I feel another tenth is needed to remain in the top 100. I'll get it...😁

One of the hardest corners on Eiger Nordwand is the big right hander at the bottom of the track. When I'm going around it, the steep elevation change doesn't seem that obvious but when I look back, it's much more apparent. Not being able to get an accurate understanding of the elevation changes as I'm driving really effects my ability to gain time. Hard to know what works sometimes.

This is one place where PSVR2 real shines. You can really see the elevation change and see how that corner transitions from downhill to uphill.

So I have done 1.38.3 and it is very safe into Silver and 1.2 sec off GOLD. I was not able to improve. 2 more days left and I realize it will be hard to improve with AT, but I do not have experience to use MT.

I gave it a go today, just to try if I can put a more or less ok lap with MT and I was happy that a lap with many mistakes, a very cautious lap put me in SILVER too.

I think I am officially done with AT and will start learning and improving with MT.

@Lightpilgrim, I know it's been said already and you've addressed it and I respect your reasoning, but not driving in MT is hampering you. Not having control of your gear selection disadvantages you in the corners where it's imperative for you to make use of the transmission.

It doesn't have to be now or with the SF/Suzuka TT, maybe even practice outside of a TT, but you will benefit greatly getting used with MT.👍

Alright found a tenth or so at Suzuki for a 37 flat, hope it holds. Optimum is 36.6 but man I am at 10 tenths. Oddly enough I am 3rd on my friends list for this one, ahead of a few guys who normally edge me. Not sure if I am half decent with these cars or people just cannot be bothered chasing the last second.

Definitely be proud of your time 😊Super Formula is probably the toughest place to learn MT… a good way to learn is by re-doing license tests and just driving laps in different cars until the feeling is there. You’ll get it in a few days!!

Slight improvement at the Nordwand last night and I find myself in great company once again @bliprunner @Gomario JSP ;)

I hope this is enough for top 100, cause if it's not I am not sure how much I can still squeeze from it. There was another tenth in the final sector of this lap perhaps, but I'm not gonna lie: this was also far and away my best S3 split yet.

Hmm, I've not thought of CSA yet for this one. I just thought the car is so stable it wouldn't help much. Have you tried it without?

No I rarely do these days, it's just become my default. I would guess it's not a big difference as well. Other settings are ABS weak, TCS 0 ... and like you I set SEN on the DD Pro to 720 degrees, which I think does help a bit with the quick direction changes in the hairpins.

Very strong first sector!, it definitely isn't as easy as it seems this one 🤣
But epic time buddy, fast as always!

Now I understand why I was so much struggling. AT is a disadvantage. I was not even realizing how big of a difference MT makes. Obviously I am not comfortable and make a lot of mistakes, but I have clocked my personal best lap…with the MT:-) And I do not even know how to properly use it:-)) Feels awesome:)

0.9 sec from GOLD:-)

Buddy, you're now entering your nothing-less-than-Gold era. 😎

So you transitioned from AT to MT in just a few hours while beating your previous best ... and in a Formula car? Honestly, that's kinda scary 🤣
