Welcome to the Thunderdome.

I pulled a close to my best optimal lap. There is a half a tenth somewhere. I just switched to my round wheel after running my formula wheel for a few weeks (and I like the layout of my buttons in VR better than my other wheel) and it seemed to help smooth me out a little. I'm rapid in the last sector to the last turn and there I'm about 10 percent passable and 1 in 25 actually fast.

Dan shows up for a minute and tops board
Nice first session @Dan_Tes !

This was for sure a frustrating one. Didn't expect that I'd be giving it as much of an attempt as I ended up doing. 2 sessions, total of probably 200km, although that would have been over the span of maybe an hour, which kind of shows how fast this car is.

Nailing sector 1 is extremely satisfying, unfortunately that didn't happen on a lap where I nailed the rest of the lap. The final chicane is extremely frustrating, the kerbs really unsettle the car and it feels really slow to change direction to get the exit right. Interestingly Spoon curve doesn't feel anywhere near as awkward in this compared to most other cars.

Probably another 2 tenths in this lap, but after that I don't feel like i could find anything more.

Looking forward to the Evo around Eiger, hopefully the chicanes aren't too painful for controller users.

Brutal TT. Incredibly tough!

Like I mentioned already, Casio Triangle was the major issue for me, it improved from yesterday’s disaster at least but I wouldn’t call it good at all. Any other controller drivers with issues there or was it simply a skill issue on my end? The rest felt fine, even though it took a long time to find the groove here. Some people truly are ridiculously fast in Super Formulas, utilising the insane downforce and grip to the fullest. It’s mad. Through S1 and S2 in particular it almost feels like driving on rails, like you need to “find” the railway, hook your “train” up and you’ll just go through the rest of the S curves automatically. Degner I and II as well.

It was a case of an optimal never really achieved (I suppose it is quite often but it felt very evident here).

0’25.770 / 0’41.221 / 1’16.993 / 1’35.222
0’25.769 / 0’41'282 / 1’16.939 (!) / 1’35.279 (incredible S3 here — catching up 0,118 and being 0,010 ahead of you @Dan_Tes just before 130R :eek::boggled:)
0’25.666 / 0’41.164 (personal S1 & 2 bests)

Got the chance to run around in Takuma Sato's new RLL livery for the 109th Indianapolis 500 at least (go, go, go TAKU!). But now I hope the SF cars can collect some dust in the garage, they're due a very long rest now with how often they've appeared.

How in God's name are you people driving the Evo so fast? I can barely crack 1.18. It's hopeless at everything, no brakes, understeer galore, more understeer, did I mention the understeer? Corner entry...understeer, exit...power understeer.... fast corner.....understeer. I cannot fathom where I find 2 seconds. Absolutely hateful car, despise it.

Alright...now tell us how you REALLY feel. 😁

Second go at this, discovered my car also needed abit of an oil change so did that and set about it. 3 laps was all it took to get into Silver territory. Fun combo this, I know many aren't super keen (heh) on the car or track but as a longtime F1 game player and someone who's had laps on this track going all the back to the Le Mans 24 Hours game (and now a Super Formula fan), this is my jam.
Just had another go, mostly because that time went to bronze (Pace picked up, as expected) so I had to pick up as well.

Back to Silver I am. Unsure if I can even find more time with how much effort I put in just for that time.

Edit: Gave it one last go:

That's all I got left in the tank.

what worked for me was being really patient with the throttle, not touching it when the car is turning and smashing it asap when the car is in a straight line.

Don't like the downforce but I rather enjoyed this one. Target of getting into the 1:36s achieved.. barely. My optimals were lower, but stringing all the sectors together for the perfect lap is no easy task.

On to the the Lancer now..
The Kart is not going to be fun at all 🫣

@Jeje6410 One Thousandth of a second separates us 😄

@Dolph Drago Great to hear the good news. Look after yourself and get well soon!!

Great lap time there!

Definitely not one of the faster ones myself, but ever since the Escudo at Red Rock Valley in GT4, I try to go by this rule of thumb: if you're not hooked in right, you're not going fast enough. Switched to wheel on this one as pad was a bit sketchy.

That's weird, you are much faster than me most of the time and I only did 10 laps on this TT at the moment, yet I am more than a second faster.

My guess would be that you overdrive the car.

Follow @eggmann's and @orlane's advices you may find some time quickly.

First off all....Jeezz, what happend to GT7 lately??
Were is the time that if you were faster in a TT than Tidge....Konstanitnou..... TheKie.... Mistah.... you prob. won't make it top 100 in the end of a TT??..... 😂 😂, the Eiger one is insainly hard to end up high right? or is it just me?, my 14.865 doens't seem that save anymore 😂😂😂

Then..... i made the mistake trying the kart....., and made a bigger mistake of completing a lap which i was certain it was invalidated...., now i have to commit to getting at least gold...what a prick of a combo 😂😂

two things...

1 : what ever you do..... DON'T touch certain curbs, you can try yourself on the lap start at the first left curb 😂

2 : crank up the controller sensitivity if you are on pad..... ( if you are not on 10 like me all the time ) cause.... tankslap heaven baby ..

😂

The results for TT132 at Suzuka Circuit in the SF23 Super Formula: Toyota '23 / Honda '23 are over here. I have updated the opening post with the index of all TTs and the second post with the community scoreboards.

Here are some interim statistics for TT133 at Eiger Nordwand in the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III GSR '95.

Thanks again!

Around pos. 1040 now, personal best around pos. 1400. This could hold till next week (or not).

Something is really amiss. At RBR Group 3 Race C I am in Low A/High B splits, I am able to run with the lead pack for the entire lap, often faster than most of them, but I am getting SLAUGHTERED through turn 3 (the super slow uphill right hander). When I say slaughtered, I mean to the tune of half a second at that corner. I cannot rotate the car no matter where I brake, I am hitting the anchors well before the 100m board, coasting where I can rather than trailing in (as the new physics prefer) but dead set feels like I am coming to a standstill.

Same thing is happening with the Evo in the first sector, I brake super early, I am easily making my apex, sometimes turning in early I am braking so carefully, I turn the wheel and there's SO MUCH PUSH, I just cannot rotate it at all, the car basically stops.

I am going to tweak the lock on my wheel, i legit feel like I am not getting enough wheel turn. Something isn't right, I am no superstar but I have managed gold on 5 of the last 6 TT (was half a second off on the Porsche at Alsace) and I dead set cannot get under 1.18 for this one.

On another note, the Kart is a fun drive and I look forward to giving it a whirl.
