Man, y'all are quick at Eiger.

Felt properly behind stuck at 15.2 for quite some time but I fluked myself into a 14.895 late last night. Somehow. 200 kms. Very sketchy and wild rally-esque end to this lap so it looks cool at least but probably should've been better. Oh well, I won't be improving it anyway so we'll accept "defeat" given as top 100 is usually the goal for me but clearly Eiger Nordwand isn't my strongest suit (was ~P250 in the Impreza '98).

Another slight improvement at the Eiger, finally got to grips a little more with getting off the last curve before the bridge at the bottom of the track. Dropping to 1st in certain turns certainly helps rotation so thank to Metalgear ghost for that insight.

I think this may be it for me, maybe, but I've really enjoyed this one, and I think it might be my best finish if it stays around where it is on the board.

Won't be able to run tomorrows new TT until 31st, when my new wheel will be available for pickup (T598). My TGT had to be put down. The table clamp snapped off. Lasted 7 years so a good innings.

Pretty happy with how my time held up during the 2nd week. Shooter has joined the action and is at a 1'14.419 in P2.
Cool that you are getting T598, it will be nice with some good feedback from soneone in your league !

Alright guys, we have another instance of the next TT leaking early in the website data. And this time it's especially interesting because it also confirms one of the three new cars in the upcoming update:

Edit: Sports soft
I've only done Watkins Glen once, I think it was for the Super Formula menu book. Really enjoyed the circuit. I'm looking forward to circulating in it with that sweet V8 as the soundtrack. 😊
Another slight improvement that took me to 0:49…

I wish I was able to do this in Suzuka last week.

👏👏🚀🔥
A lot of new users on here recently which is great to see, I'll do a spree of friend invites again soon so if you get one please do accept it
Can you give me an ETA?⌛😁

@NAXEHT

The most personal lines I have seen on this TT.

The last right is epic !
That’s what I like about that trial, there is no one ‘fast line’. Many ways to skin a cat! All styles are welcome

(Well except the chicanes in S1 and S2, what a chore..!)

Back at BH and project 48s is still underway, powered by CSA Strong I am getting closer; CSA Strong definitely helps as trying to put an accurate and fast countersteering input is almost impossible in the Kart and CSA does a great job on that allowing me to get on the power earlier. A slightly scruffy S2 cost me a 48.xxx but it was still a goodun!

Hi,

Thank you! All of you!

Just finished with my efforts at the Nordwand Time Trial. Finished on a 1:15:324. This, I hope, will be my second highest place in a TT.
If I had managed to "hit" my optimal time, that would have placed me in the top 200 - Achieving my goal of a top 500 finish this year.

I have managed this by reading most, if not all, of your posts here! Watching the videos you post and learning from you. Virtually every single one of you folks come here with positive comment / critique. Helping each other and helping people like me.

Lack of skill, a dear and long suffering wife recovering from surgery, dogs and chores are to blame - Not exactly in that order but those are my excuses for not doing better and I am damn well sticking to them!

Thank you again.

Best regards to all here.

Ian. Raising a glass and tipping my hat to you all. Cheers.

You may not want to do it but I'd be interested in seeing you go top 10 on the pad.

Guys, I need to say that I no longer have ideas how to improve. Maybe you can see something that will help me gain time?

Thank you very much, as always!

Hi @Lightpilgrim
I shared advice which technique you can use to get faster in Gran Turismo Time Trials, previous time you asked for help. I am just curious if you tried it and what are your thoughts, if you have done it?

I guess TCS is holding you back, and stealing maybe half a tenth (at least)

At T1 and T3, two instances where we just lift off and try getting back on throttle as soon as we can, the TCS is barely active according to the throtlle inputs shown in your replay.

On the other hand, exiting T2 I see some TCS action in a spot much easier to handle.

Meaning, you (apparently ) don't need them and you're not making use of them either.

You're getting faster very.... Fast.

A couple of weeks back I ran some sighter laps in the Eiger TT, got a red 1:16.6 on controller without much trauma, with I think a 16.4 optimal. As it's switching tomorrow, I thought I should go back and get the 2m.

Nope, 18s after 18s after 18s for five laps. I think there was a 17.9 in there.

Paused, hit Retry, 16.3 on lap one.

Just Gran Turismo Things.

Well There It Is Jurassic Park GIF

Finally achieved my top 100 goal! Put 50km in on my final night to get there. Felt comfortable the whole session, but didn't see a 14.827 coming, thought maybe high .8XX at best.

Managed to improve my exit for T2, although still losing quite a bit of time to the #1 replay. Also fixed up the right hander before the pitlane, that is mostly optimised for me now. Still lost a bit of time lifting through the chicane, but oh well, I'll take what I can get.

Also looks like I ended up P2 in Australia! All-round good time trial for me.

Didn't record the lap, as its basically the same as the previous lap, just with a better T2 and T5

Oops, looks like I took the screenshot while the background scene was changing between shots :ouch:

And of course, had to take a photo of the little Evo that could, to commemorate.
