This Vantage promises !!!! It seems to slide as well from the front as from the back according to @Dan_Tes 's video (whom I congratulate for his excellent time once again 
).
Otherwise I am happy with my result at Eiger 502nd in the world but if I want to get into the top 1000 again (the 8th time on 12TT this year) I have to do better on the Kart (I hate these special cars). But as I am more efficient on cars I think that this TT at Watkins Glen should please me. Can't wait for tomorrow !!!!

Maybe, according to https://www.gtplanet.net/gran-turismo-7-time-trial-20250327/Did 1.53.614 in new time trial. Idefinetly have about 0,3 in me ,but just can´t put the perfect lap together. Is there any chance it could hang on for gold?
[Edit 3 hours later]New stint with the kart at BH, light improvement, gold is not so far (optimal is nearly gold). Need some more training.
Tried the new TT at WG, currently sitting at 0.7s from gold, this one will not be easy. I have difficulties controlling the car when releasing brakes, she often want to snap the other way, I try to be smooth but there a fine margin between braking too long and releasing a bit early and have the car jump towards the outside of the turn, pretty annoying.

So I finally placed 600th (a PB for me) in the Lancer/Eiger combo so very pleased with that.
Onto Watkins and I'm in 2 minds about whether I actually like the Aston or not, is it just me or is its movement in the corners weird, feels a mix of floaty, oversteery and understeery all at once?
Either way, I'm into gold after a few laps, probably will have to return but first I need to get back in the kart at BH.

It’s just a heavy front engined sports car. I’m with you I find the handling over snappy especially under braking, like Dan I just ride 4th mostly and take the fraction turn in hit for a smoother exit drive.
Don’t think it feels weird compared to similar cars in the game just heavier and more torque.

I guess you are right, just feels less predictable and deliberate compared to other heavy front-engined cars in the game

Yeah, but it’s also a near 50:50 balance chassis wise.
I like and no the track well so some of that is I’m not having to learn braking etc.
This is actually one I might try hard on, but I hate watching the top time go sideways in to T1 while I’m just as fast cruising through it…

Exhausted from work so took a day off from the renovation, so chose to do Nokia laps!
Not ideal for the Remote-O-meter .....but not to bad at the same time...7/10 ..
Pad friendly?..... 8/10 🤣
First thing.....feels heavy...., kills you when sniffing brakes 🤣, the busstop is killing, by far the most difficult part of the whole lap..
.....4th is your friend...sounds epic!...good tires..., not the easiest one I think but a lot of fun!
Nice to follow you around @Dan_Tes ...and you need to work on your busstop.... 🤪🤣 (def a tenth right there!)

A handful of laps and I'm cool for now. Pretty decent car. Just need to be smooth.

Yup...exactly how I feel about the car. It is like driving a really fast boat. I can feel that the car is hanging on simply because of the tires. I only did a handful of laps...was having too much fun doing custom races with Sophy. Sorry PS4 players, but Sophy is what the AI really should've been

I’m not sure I can find the words to describe the handling of the vantage. Perhaps like try to steer a bunch of hyper cats on three wheel skateboards might be analogous to trying to drive this thing? 🤷🏼♂️
Let’s just say that the weight shift suspension induced handling is interesting to say the least.
That said, I did manage to get gold. I won’t say it was easy. It took quite a lot of tries to get this. Hopefully this is enough of a buffer to keep gold over the next two weeks. I can’t see myself wanting to come back to this one too much.

Wow, what do you know. Perusing this thread. I saw the Kei’s track guide so I went back and did one more lap and took a chunk of time off. Thanks man! Keeping it in forth was the key.
Oh, and there’s another .3 in me at least. But that’s enough for tonight.

After the realy nice surprise kart last week i was looking forward for the new Vantage. But, what a massive dissapointment this thing is!
Steering under breaking (ABS normal) > oversteer, shifting down in a bend to 3rd for more rotation > oversteer.
If that thing is that rubbish irl, oh boy!
That will be a much harder gold than i excpected!

At first i was trying to be waaaayyy to tidy..
But it turns out it just needs yeeeting 😂
For the people who have trouble underbraking for lets say the busstop..... throttle overlay!, brake and just give it a tiny bit of throttle and it will be way more stable!
Still heavy but once you figure it out it is not to shaaabbyyyy at all
The other thing what clearly needs to be done.... abuse... it's all about abusing limits here 😂😂😂

It took me a while to figure out how this Aston works. But it's actually quite enjoyable because it's so smooth. You feel like you're not going fast, but in fact, it's the opposite.

I plan on starting up with the Vantage TT later today, and hoping to secure a comfy Gold sooner rather than later.
It just occurred to me that while I've finished the main game, I've yet to do any of the Missions. The Human Comedy in particular is piquing my interest, and maybe it can prepare me to do Daily Race Cs on the regular, what with it needing some pit strategy.
