Thanks but I'm actually losing around half a second in the first corner compared to the ghost I'm following (makisi556). How they manage to find traction there is beyond me, maybe one day I'll figure it out 😅
Wait .whaat? And yet, you are on 1.01.581?
T1 you rotate car way before you are near apex, and press the gas pedal too before apex and there you have your grip 🙂
@Spec-ECU you rotate car alot for first and last turn and try not to rotate them more than needed rest of the track.

@Barareklam, that's the exact opposite of what I saw in @nonloso17's video. 🤪

I'm taking all the notes though. I managed to at least get well into Silver in my first stint last night, but will be grinding and hope for a comfortable Gold as is my usual goal. It's a loaded weekend with F1, MotoGP, and WSBK all racing, but I'll find the time. 🙂

It's probably ill-advised to have this TT be anyone's first foray into snow driving, but hey, baptism by fire (and ice!). 😄

Don’t mind a change of scenery, even if I’m not very quick, nice to chill and breathe some mountain air…

On two-wheelers, we call this a tank-slapper if the front wheel's that crossed up from the rear wheel coming down from a wheelie. 😝
My blade was notorious for this in the damp, even in reduced power mode and full anti wheelie set. Was all fine once the tires warmed up and the steering damper oil warmed up 🤣

Wheeling was fairly stable but 197hp accelerating to hard could be a nervy time! 🤣

1 more hour at Lake Louise. Best lap : 1:02.623 👍
I definetely have a 1:02.0xx in me, but the esses have to be pixel perfect. Would be my absolute maximum.
So I'll wait a bit to see where gold time stabilises before putting in more effort, if it drops belore 1:02.000 I'm cooked

edit:gave it another go, did a 1:02.326, provisionnal gold :bowdown:next time a 1:02.236 :D ?

Better late than never, had some other things to do 🤨🤣

Completely stuffed up the last corner though....

@half_sourly I think you loose a fair bit indeed on the exit of T1, try to navigatie thru the bollards and don't hit them all, they reduce speed quite a bit, plus the grip is far more easy to find on the right side of the bollards.
As mentioned above, same for the last one.... but that's a real bugger 🤣

@half_sourly good lap but inputs can be improved . shortly, you are rotating car way too much. You go full lock almost, car is still sliding, then when you realize that car rotated too much, then you start correcting, it's too late, you start losing speed. I think you should go with smaller inputs and car will keep the speed. just trust that car will slide, smaller left right left right and it will go.
If you need more detailed explanation I can do that tomorrow.

For most of us, this is just Alien speak, it’s how they talk before colonising the planet and stealing all our water and diamonds for their warp drives.

Into my 2nd snow stint, at least clocked in a lap in the 1:02s (.9ish) so a bit more to go. Couldn't help but think at times how much I appreciate the swing from the Oval TT to this; whereas the latter is incremental gains from painstaking steady inputs, this one is speed via controlled chaos for chunky gains. 😎

I'll always love how filthy the cars get in the snow. No idea why this doesn't happen as much in normal racing!

Really fun combo. Seems daunting but not too hard once you know the line and gearing.

That's a very fine position @Nebuc72. You're aptly skilled at this snow track. You gotta know every move to make at each turn, hairpin and corner. This would be another easy one I'm missing, too bad for me right now, :(

Always have TCS at 0 to get better exits coming from corners and sharp turns. Good luck these next 2 weeks.

From 1:02,8 to 1:02,6. I think I'll really try this time. I think it's the most fun you can have in relation to the percentage of invalid laps.

What aids are you guys on? I have TC, ASM and CSA off and ABS on weak.

@KAlex122, did you notice a difference between ABS Weak and Default?

Still got some plowing to do. Also, have to do this TT on the controller, cause I'm far too inexperienced sliding on the wheel.
I'm the driver with absolutely no feeling for anything. Sorry, can't help here.

Plus it only affects the first corner and i still struggle there. Can't say I'm getting better there because of ABS weak or because I'm evolving.

I don't like snow. It's even worse than sand. My paws aren't cut out for this sort of stuff so finding another second will be a challenge. I mean I like snow leopards but I'm more like a fish out of water here. It's not my happy place but I'm not giving up yet.
