Had to give up a morning session after 2 laps due to our girl waking up 2 hours early. I still have to say the Morizzo on the snow is a really fun combo.

I finally watched 2 of the top laps and hope i can apply on or two things but all in all they don't do miracles, they just execute turns with superb timing.

I'm not sure if i can and will apply the wide line in the first corner.

Somehow i hope i can find 3 tenth for gold and then maybe 3 more for a sub 1:02 lap. That could be a personal best TT.

I see that some people have a different approach to the T1 turn, especially compared to @Tidgney who stays on the ropes and doesn't move out as much. Do you gain more time by moving out ?

You gain at least 3 tenths sir. But it's extremely precise. If you make heavy contact with too many bollards you'll lose speed, and you have to flirt with wall contact too.

It's almost as if you lot know what you're talking about. Paid attention to turn 1 this morning per your advice and got the lap below. Irony is that it was all S2 - my best by far - and a poor S1 (29.0); earlier in the session I had a 28.65 S1. So room to improve. Thanks chaps.

Honestly your lap is amazing!!!
You can go Slightly earlier on gas before apex in T1 and then full gas and no lifting. Your Last turn is brilliant!

T1 is realy make or break, funny thing also, I'm rubbish following the fastest ghost available, for some reason I realy go well trying to follow Metal, so for me surprisingly it made a difference ...
Next thing....didn't hit a thing until I rented the Corolla 🤔🤣

But I managed an invalid lap in the 1:09s, if it hadn't been for a whisper of a brush at the T1 exit gutter. Maximing use of this gutter is proving the make-it-or-break-it for my laps.

No way the top time dropped by another tenth. Meanwhile 2nd hasn’t budged. A 1:02 dead feels good, but at this rate I’m worried.

I have been using the "Try before you buy" approach to Lake Louise... ie - The in game Time Trial mode.

I have managed to complete around a hundred laps so far - Every single one of them would have been invalidated !!!

My best time thus far is 1:07:5xx.

Ever since I was a youngster, I could never manage to drive or ride quickly on shale, gravel, mud, snow or anything loose. Tarmac, wet or dry, I can cope with. This stuff - Not a chance for me.

It just doesn't make any sense to me. I am turning left when you folks are turning right. I am facing the wrong way when you are on the gas. I am staring at a snow banking when you have finished the lap.

That said though, there's a little less enjoyment this time around Many, many visits to snow banks and a few clean laps, I'm still Bronze medal but only a second and some change away from Gold, so there's still hope! IF, I can get it done, this will be my hundredth Gold, hence the celebratory livery - but I may have done this too soon given how off the pace I am

Managed a 1:02.6 last night following tight line in T1. Gotta admit, I would’ve never thought to go wide T1, blow up the bollards and ride the half pipe. Will try that when I’m back..I think I’ll find a few tenths there.

Gold feels much more secure going sub 62secs...but I still saw an Optimal yesterday in the 1:01.6s...and in an invalidated lap earlier I saw an S1 split in sub-28.5s for the first time...sooo the slalom continues! 😆

1:01.250 Dualshock 4 controller. Enjoyable one for me, I always find offroad a nice change of pace and something different to adapt and learn. While this feels like a solid time, I still know there is more time to find.

Exhausted from working on the house but the end is near! done the floor yesterday so no more concrete 😁

So had a little time for a morning session, and for a change I didn't take much time to get into it, plowing away and trying to not hit the annoying piles of snow 🤣

My problem lies in the esses, some lap I even slightly gain on the ghost on T1 exit, but keeping momentum going through the esses seems to be my most difficult part here so I always get hammered again by @Metalgear9493 🤣, mate your fast through there! 🙏

Lap was pretty solid but esses were code brown and definitely not my fastest of the session..

But all not to Shabbbyyyyy 😁🤣
This should be enough for another top 100 🥳

I can say that I am suffering right now.

I did not understand everything from the Aston Martin to WG despite a considerable number of laps.

The Morizo à LL is for me another form of p#in in this #ss !

Still not in gold when I have one or two sessions left before taking time off.

I keep @Tidgney 's approach to T1 because I do not understand your sorcery of taking off (the outside line).

All right, I'm tapping out at 1:01.322. At this point I feel like I'm not really improving, and instead reinforcing poor driving technique. The advice for T1 helped @Barareklam, but I'm not consistent enough to nail that corner every time

And I have to say, that's an absolute bonkers lap @Gomario JSP, I think it makes you the fastest controller player on this TT 👏

I feel like I'm spamming this thread a bit. But I'm happy. Gold, personal best TT (hopefully) and sub 62 seconds.

2nd session. Improved quite a bit using the method described here and also switching to chase cam to better judge the walls.

Still not gold but I feel that im able to keep up with the top 2 ghost through T1 and the Esses if I get it just right. Will probably never get the final turn perfectly but I feel like this could end up beating my PB of around position 2,000 on the global leaderboard.

This one proved to be quite a challenge for me but after about 500km I've got a time I'm relatively happy with (though I do still want to improve it a bit more)
